A Feudal Fairytale: Demons vs Humans *IC* [Always Open]

    OOC
    Hello there,
You're here, which means you're already aware of the well.
I'm guessing that you know what the well could do aswell, correct?
And you've heard of the sacred jewel?
I'll allow you through my well,
As long as you're with peace and you're with purity.
Just remember, the well opens at 6:00 pm, and closes at exactly 10:00 pm.
    There will be no exceptions.

    ~Celeste

    [Feudal Era--5:32 PM]
Lady Chiyoko sat very still as her ladies-in-waiting brushed every strand of her long hair. She had a grimace on her face, which made the three women extremely nervous. They knew Chiyoko-sama did not have much patience, and that she hated having to sit still in once spot for a long time. The oldest one, Mari, practically raised Chiyoko, and she knew the youkai was quick to snap and lash out in anger.

"We're almost finished, M'Lady," Mari said softly, as she took Chiyoko's hair and tied it up with a ribbon. "There."

Chiyoko stared at her reflection in the large mirror. She didn't look any different than any other day, and definitely didn't see the point in having to get her hair brushed everyday. She stood up abruptedly. "Tell my father that I am leaving," she said simply, on her way to the door.

Mari, grabbed the ends of her kimono, twisting them nervously. "Um, M'Lady, your father instructed me that you are no longer allowed to leave the castle, after you tried to set fire to that village. Erm... You are to stay here. He said-"

"My father is too busy trying to make a son," Chiyoko said, giving the old youkai a glare. "I'm sure he would not care if I were to leave the castle for a few hours." The the glare turned into a wicked smirk. "Or if I were to burn down a few villages. They're just humans anyway. All they do is whine, complain, then die."

Mari's face turned a bright pink, and the younger girls cringed, trying to hide behind the old woman. "I am only doing what my lord to me to," she stated firmly.

"Well, are you going to try to stop me, Mari?" Chiyoko questioned. When she didn't get a response she continued. "I will be out by the well today. Celeste has been ignoring my attempts to contact her. She must be expecting people to try to pass through," with that said, and a deadly smile, Chiyoko left her bedroom, quietly shutting the door behind her.

(Magnus can change is height. He usually is aroudn 23 Feet tall so use that as a reference when approaching him)

Magnus had roamed the earth from the beginning of mankind's leap to civilization. He has seen the rise of empires and has orchestrated the fall of them as well. The balance of life and power must always been in harmony or destruction will follow. The Ancient one continued his march through the countryside with no weapons on him at this moment. Another lesser demon appeared in front of magnus.

The lesser demon bowed to magnus before speaking one. "My lord.. Ancient one I beseech you to come with me. We have began to feel fluctuation in the reality.. as if somthing has breached the line of time.."

Magnus laughed and gave a nod to the lesser demon. Magnus's voice seemed distant and slightly far off when he spoke. It echoed with the passage of time itself. "In time I will seek out this disturbance.. I feel a new tide of wind coming and I must prepare for it.. For the first time since the fall of the Roman Empire I may have to raise my axe in battle once again... The burden of being a time warden falls upon my shoulders now it seems."

Kazé stared down at the pond water, sighing. Dropped down a well. She could still remember the night when her parents abandon her. She whacked the water, ruining her reflection.

She got up, and walked away, unable to look at herself. Now she knew why her parents left her. She was a stupid half-demon. No one could love a hybrid. She climbed into a tree and stared up at the darkening sky.

Nicias panted as he heard the people after him trying to catch up. "tsk" he made a sound of aggitation running as he ran. people were always trying to kill him, for one reason or another. it didnt matter who they were, demons humans even half breeds shunned him. when he got far enough a head of them he climbed a tree and leaped from Tree to tree in another direction, before hiding. being a cross between a dog and a wold demon he had incredible hearing so as he caught his breath and curled up in a ball of misery he listened for his hunters approach, but none came. but why waist breath on relief, there would always be more. hated fro existing, sucks!

    [Modern Day--5:32 PM]

Kane was roaming the streets of Tokyo with his soldiers. He was keeping an eye out for any civilian to step out of line... So far, everything seemed to be happening the way it should be. Too bad, he wanted action and be able to lash out at someone. I guess, it'll have to wait... He sighed as he continued his rounds of the city... At least it was a beautiful day with the sun high in the sky and not a cloud to be seen.

Zio woke up with his back against a tree, he was already used to waking up at random places but he was getting more and more home sick everyday " I hope when i get home one day my parents still remember me" he thought. " well anyway its time to get moving again " he said. Zio got up and started walking to the north, he was hoping to find a way back to his home.

Kazu was relaxing underneath a tree in the forest on the outskirts of town. At his side was a katana wrapped in chains and bandages where the tsuba and sheath met. The shade from the trees blocked the sun's rays from hitting his eyes, not that it would matter; his white hair blocked out a good sum of it on its own. Despite the summer heat, he didn't seem very hot in his white yukata and black shirt. Heck, he was even basking in the sunlight for Pete's sake!

The sounds of growling stirred him. Opening one eye, he was met with the sight of three wolves. Regular ones mind you, not those fancy demonic variants. "...Please leave," he asked the wolves politely, on the off chance they'd understand him, "I would prefer not to have to battle today." Granted, the were wolves, so they lashed out...

    ...And so did Kazu.

    [Feudal Era - 5:33PM]

Kazu stood over three incapacitated wolves. In his hand was his blade, black sheath covered in spatters of blood. Kneeling down and closing their eyes, he turned around and left the clearing.

    Oh, how beautiful,
Yet how different this world is.
    The modern-era,
So much more peaceful and pleasant,
Not violent and destructive as the feudal.
    Such tranquility,
    How lovely.

It didn't take long for Chiyoko to realize she was being followed. A demon like her, could sense a person a mile away. The lesser demon following her managed to keep up from a few paces behind, but was still such an idiot. Wasn't he aware that she could smell his reaking stench? And what a disgusting stench it was. The smell of a mindless beast. "I suggest you run off to play with someone else, bug," Chiyoko said, without turning around. She continued down the path through the dense forest. "I'm not in the mood."

"Jewel shards..." the buffoon groaned. It was a rather large thing, dark in color, with a slack jaw and horns growing out of it's head. It's marble eyes stared blankly, and as it walked, it dragged it's knuckles across the ground. "You know who has them... Give them to me!" The roar of the beast was loud, causing the nearby birds to flee from the trees.

Sighing and rolling her eyes, Chiyoko reached down and grabbed the sword on her side, slowing pulling it out of it's sheath. The light of the sun glinted off of the magnificent blade. "Looks like I'll have kill you. I don't have much time, you know. The well opens at 6 o' clock."

With bored eyes and a small frown, the purple-haired demon turned to the dumb beast. She swung her sword diagonally, across the ground, and violet light spiked up from it, cutting the beast in half. It stood there standing for a moment, then the top half slid off, landing on the ground with a thud, and the bottom half followed.

"How shameful it is; to be so weak and disgusting..." Chiyoko tsked, shaking her head. She put her sword back into it's sheath, and turned back to the path. "The well is close," she said to herself. "I'll be there in no time."

Magnus continued down the path with a lord stature. The Staff of Magnus in one hand and in the other was a lantern of some sort. The lesser demon on his shoulder as well. The demon spoke to magnus like a child telling its grandfather a story. "Warden.. The time surge has been pinpointed.. it is a place of great mysticism.. I know it is near and I request that you go and seek out its power.."

Magnus smiles and gives a nod. The demon seems happier now that magnus would see to this bump in the fabric of time. "Such things do not occur often.. I know of such an occurrence in a time of past. In the dark ages a man by the name of Albert Kinepth saw it smart to try to transmute a metal into gold.. Such a thing can not be done you see but the man persisted. In his work he discovered it but.. with a great cost. While he continued with his meddling in the alchemical unknown he discovered that in the end it was his undoing.. You see with this he had opened a small tear in reality.. how this human was able to accomplish this is beside me.. I have been trying to make sense of the situation for almost six centuries now. What happened to the man is unkown.. Such a thing was upsetting as the man was a match in the primordial darkness that was the dark ages.. Scientific revelations would not arise for several centuries later.. Only now is humanity coming out of that dark time." He continued on his path towards the well. The demon on his shoulder was guiding him as he continued his slow and steady movements towards the well.

“zenshu!” a small voice wailed, gathering up the attention of the demon. The source was a small kid, crying over a dropped treat from inside. The sugary treat was splattered all over the ground, and the kid was clearly upset about it. With a patient smile, Zenshu went over to the boy, wiping the tear off of his cheek.

“Don’t cry, little one” zenshu said calmly, giving him a small smile. The boy looked up, face formed into a pout. ‘b…but… my treat…” he said, in a whiny and upset voice. Aw, just forget the kid; he’s being a spoiled brat Mokushiroku said mentally, the cruel words bouncing around in the demons head. She completely ignored the conscious, and helped the kid up to his feet. “c’mon, maybe we can get you a new one” she said, ignoring the bout of swear words that Mokushiroku was spitting into her head. The kid nodded, following her back to the small bakers house.

A few minutes later, the boy had gotten a new treat, and was happily munching on it in the corner. Hmph, you’re such a sucker. You should man up, Zenshu. Become a real demon Mokushiroku said in the demons head. Well, excuse me for having a heart Zenshu mentally retaliated, ignoring the new onslaught of insults and cusses from the negative counterpart. She looked out from the small village, scanning the skies and land for demons. So far, none were seen.
