Dawn of a new day

"And here we are", the stranger said. "Enjoy your time at the guild."
Yamel thanked his guide and looked up at the building in front of him.
It looked like any other tavern, except for the three huge letters above the door: 'RPG'
'Guess this is the place', he thought to himself, and, not knowing what to expect, he opened the door and walked in.
The young man was greeted by the smell of beer and good food, and the noise of a common room filled with good-humored patrons.
As he walked in, a group sat at a table to his left exploded in laughter as one of them, standing on the table and acting out some imagined swordfight, misplaced his foot and tumbled to the ground, bringing down with him tankards of ale.
Slightly overwhelmed, Yamel took a few hesitant steps to the middle of the room, apparently looking completely lost, as he was quickly approached by a friendly looking barman.
"Don't worry about them," the man said. "That happens at least twice a day. Welcome to the Roleplayers Guild. And who might you be?"

As guessed, I'm yamel, a 19 year old physics student in London.
I've never played a forum RPG before, but know I'm going to enjoy it very much.
I'll probably need a bit of guidance, but I usually catch on quick
