This is the new OOC thread. ViridianHue became busy with irl stuff, so she asked if anybody wanted to take over GM while she was gone. I said I'd do it, and she said ok, so here we are. I don't plan on making any major changes, and this is still going to be character-driven as far as plot goes. I'll just be around to help keep things going. Got any questions about stuff though, just PM me.

For now, let's continue with the RP.

I n t r o d u c t i o n:

You wake up in a damp, dimly-lit room with no recollection of how you got there. Something heavy constricts your neck and bringing your hand up, you feel something cold. Slightly alarmed, you get up from your bed and walk towards a mirror on the wall. A metal band, blinking green light every few seconds is around your neck with a number embedded in it. You try to pry it off but it is stuck firmly.
As you stare at your reflection, you try to remember how you got to be in this situation...but your mind is blank. You gasp as you realize that you can't even recall your name. Did it start with a 'C'...or was it a 'F'? You can't even remember how long you'd been living for or where you came from. Did you have a family? A brother? Sister? Lover?
You jump as the door to your room slides open. A masked man (at least, you think it is a man) wearing protective gear comes inside, brandishing a metallic stick in his hands.
"Let's go, Number ____."
Frowning at being called a number, you want to protest but he cuts you off, threateningly waving the stick in your face, which you noticed had started to sizzle with electricity. You close your mouth and decide to follow him. You are taken to a laboratory-like room, filled with spotless tables and chairs and strange looking apparatuses. The masked man pushes you down on a table and ties up your arms and legs as men in white lab coats approach you. You start to panic, but you feel a prickling sensation in your arm and succumb into unconsciousness.
You wake up again. This time you find yourself in a room along with several other people. As you open your mouth to ask what the hell was going on, a monitor in front of you comes to life and a voice speaks from it.
"Greetings. Welcome to The Sanctum. Do not panic. You have been brought here for your own safety. You are currently underground, safe from the high levels of radiation on the surface, resulting from a nuclear meltdown." The monitor then shows videos and pictures of what it is like above ground. "You have been exposed to radiation and are now under quarantine. This is also the reason why you have lost your memories. Do not worry. We are dealing with the situation and will help you regain your memories."
The voice finishes with, "The collar around your neck is used to monitor your levels of radiation. Every morning, you will be taken to a lab for tests and then you are free to do what you like in the facility. We hope that you will cooperate with us and your stay here will result in a successful quarantine. Thank you."
You are not sure what to make of this situation. Everyone else around you is just as confused as you are. You cannot help but get a sense of foreboding. Something more is definitely going on. What aren't they telling you?

P l o t:

Your character has supernatural abilities. They don't know how they came to be this way, but a certain organisation is eager to find out and control them. Your character had a normal life before they acquired their abilities, after which the organization got to know about them and kidnapped them, erasing their memories in the process. As for their past life, all their family/friends know is that they are either deceased/ran away from home/left for college/left to discover the world on their own (any plausible explanation for their disappearance that the organization cooked up).
However, despite the various medication your character is drugged with, they soon get flashes of their past life and their powers slowly come to life. If the organization find out, the process of erasing your character's memory is repeated.
So, the few who get their memories back decide to keep it a secret. They soon find that others have also been seeing visions of their past lives and they form a group, hatching a plan to escape the facility.
However, how long has it been since you were kidnapped? You do not know, and neither do your comrades. Is your family/friends even alive? There is only one way to find out...
Even if they are, how will they react? Will they accept you and hide you from the organization? Or will they be afraid of you and betray you?

R u l e s

1. Follow proper RPG guidelines and netiquette

2. Each RPer can have up to 2 characters max.

3. No God-modding

4. NPCs are controllable. You can even kill them off if you'd like.

5. Please wait for at least two other people to post before making your own post. It's a bit troublesome to go through pages upon pages of the same users RPing. If you do feel like RPing badly (like me, lol) then I encourage you to write one long collaborative post with your RP partner.

6. Romance is allowed. Take it to PMs/fade to black/timeskip if it gets too steamy.

7. Please don't make your character an omniscient/omnipotent god/goddess. They must have weaknesses and flaws.

8. NO ONE LINERS! They irk me. -__- It's okay if your post is short (we all have bad days) but please write atleast 2-3 sentences if you're having writer's block.

9. If you're going to take the story in a different direction or throw in a twist, then let me know first.

10. I reserve the right to accept/reject anyone, alter these rules at anytime and politely tell anyone to step out of the RP if need be.

11. I'm new at being a GM...so...be nice. ^^' I don't think I should've mentioned that...>.>

12. Did you read this? Include 'I want my memory back' somewhere in your CS.

*Include your character's life before discovering abilities, how they were kidnapped, what explanation was given to family/friends, etc in history.

*If you want to make a CS for someone from the 'organization' then go ahead! Just omit the abilities and weakness parts.

*Each character has separate rooms.
*The facility is underground and has guards stationed at every hallway.
*The collar around your character's neck is a tracking device. It can also be used to electrocute your character from a distance.
*Scientists inject drugs into your system to nullify your powers and keep your memories hazy.
*The upper levels of the facility have a recreation area, library, infirmary and a cafeteria available to everyone. The lower levels have the offices and laboratories only available to personnel.
*The RP will start in the facility. Your character will either be a newcomer or already getting glimpses into their past.
