I'd like to relay some advice to you, which is to simply cut the pretentiousness and melodrama.

No more talking about the philosophy of Spam. It's a forum within a forum where shit happens. That's all anyone needs to know. We like you here, but your request to continue the contest you made up was beyond pretentious. That thread got four pages, posted in by the same handful of people. No one was going to carry out your request.

Put some things into proportion. We like you here, but no one thinks you are that awesome. No one would keep your contest alive. I'm going to keep going back to that, because it is a fact that needs to be understood on both ends before anything can improve, nothing personal. You being a complete dick to a new guy was not going to go over well, let alone get you cred, because you are not that awesome. Calm down, and be transparent and open about who you really are instead of trying to make a name for yourself, because you are not that awesome. Don't be the Dragon God of Spam or whatever your persona is, be you. I know you are a human being, and if you simply act like whatever human being you are, you will be fine. Don't act like anything else, anything more or anything less, because you are not that awesome.

I accept your apology, as if I am someone you should be apologizing to, but I accept it regardless. Cut the melodrama. If you want my advice, I'd say just be you, but that's your call. I really, truly don't care, except that I don't want to see you making a fool of yourself when you clearly aren't trying to hurt anyone. Spam is a place to relax, nothing else. So, when you're here, relax. Kick your feet up, tell a few stories or jokes if you've got any, or just talk. I think you should be human, not the Dragon God of Spam, because humans get much higher approval ratings than dragons.

That's my advice, if you care to take it.

P.S. When bad things happen, don't ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever bring them up again. Let them lie. Once bad shit goes down, Spam has a tendency to forget not long afterwards, provided you don't bring it up again. So, after this thread, everything that happened in that "dreaded week" stays dead.
