Let Slip the Dice of War

Geddit? 'Cuz Let Slip the Dogs of War? Geddit!

Okay, bad pun over. SO! I'm not so sure you're all familiar with the style of RP I am proposing, thus I will explain. You post an action, I roll a dice, and we see just how things turn out. I will be rolling a D10, with a 10 being total and fantastic success beyond your wildest dreams, and a 1 being total and complete failure, to the point of probably causing intense harm to you, your equipment, and anybody within a mile of you. Let me rephrase, anybody ALLIED to you within one mile. Your enemies will probably be strengthened.

    So! The Rolls!

We will have a character who goes by the name of Benjamin Silva. He just so happens to be a mage. This is important, and I will explain why later.

He tries to blow up a bridge using a fireball.

Silva: 1! Silva's fireball detonates at his feet, burning him horribly, knocking him backwards, causing six injuries, and knocking him out.
Silva: 2! Silva's fireball goes a few feet out, then detonates, dealing Silva four injuries, and knocking him on his ass.
Silva: 3! Silva's fireball fizzles, then blows up in his face causing him two injuries and a lot of embarrassment.
Silva: 4! Silva's fireball doesn't go off, what a failure.
Silva: 5! Silva's fireball blows up on top of the bridge, weakening it, but not destroying it.
Silva: 6! Silva's fireball blows a chunk out of the bridge, and one more should do the job.
Silva: 7! Silva's fireball detonates right on a crucial support, destroying the bridge.
Silva: 8! Silva's fireball causes a massive explosion right on top of the bridge, and blows it to pieces, with no chance of a crafty goblin crossing.
Silva: 9! Silva's fireball blows up the bridge, and a poor innocent cow on the other side, along with two goblins hiding under the bridge!
Silva: 10! Silva's fireball is so massive it destroys the bridge, the goblins, the cow, and creates a portal through which Silva can see a chest.
So you get my drift. Higher is better. Now, why is it important that Silva was a mage? Because that is his passive bonus. A passive bonus is a bonus that you do not need to activate, it is always there. Since Silva is a mage, he gets a passive bonus of +2 to rolls involving magic. Since throwing a fireball clearly involves magic, he would get a +2. I assume you can do addition, but I don't like math either.

    So a 1 becomes a 3
    A 2 becomes a 4

And so on. Passive bonuses can be anything from being a mage and getting a magic bonus, to being an Orc and getting an attack bonus.

Now, since you ask, if there is a passive bonus, might there be an Active Bonus? Why yes, yes there is. This is a bonus that you have to activate, as is suggested by the name. For example, you might be able to throw a fireball. Something special that only your character can do. For example, the ability to teleport a few feet forward. Don't underestimate the small stuff, this could be very useful in getting behind your enemy and getting a surprise bonus to your attack.

    Now, modifiers!

INJ: Injury. If it's less than lethal, it's a minus one on future rolls. If you have two injuries it's a minus two, and so on. If you have no passive or active bonuses that deal with injuries, you can still take one turn to just rest and heal.

CIR: Circumstance. Basically, I decide something is either not going to happen, or I think you need a little extra help. For example, blowing a hole through my dungeon's walls? Nono. I will use CIR to keep you from achieving this. If it's taking you three rolls to walk through a door however, I will use CIR to boost your roll, and get you through the door.

PLOT: If you do something that could influence the Plot, this is a modifier. This will usually be a minus, such as attacking an NPC.

    Without further ado, the story!

You passed out last night after a round of drinking with a group of strangers. You all woke up in a strange room with your weapon of choice.
    Questions? Ask!

    Now, the app!

    Name:
    Gender:
    Appearance:
    Active Bonus:
    Passive Bonus:
    Starting Weapon:
    Anything else I should know?
That last one is where you should tell me if your character's sexual orientation is anything besides straight.
