Welcome to the Accelerated World

Powered by the popular "Neurolinkers" (Personal media/computer you wear around your neck, projects all kinds of info so that only you can see it, virtual reality basically), the Accelerated World has been around for eighteen years at this point. Burst Linkers have come and gone, whether they wanted to or not. The glory of the fight is a major element in this game. Start at 100 points, and make your way up or down the ladder. Win the match, 10 points added. Lose the match, 10 points lost. Lose all of your points, and you're out of the game forever, never to enter again. The game is uninstalled permanently. So why fight so hard for a game?

The Accelerated World has one other secret, called Brain Burst. The ability to "Accelerate" in real life. The user gains time to think, cheat, be tactical, or use the advantage to get the jump on an opponent. Using Brain Burst could shoot you to the top of your class or make you the sports star. However, Brain Burst uses a certain number of your Burst Points. To gain more, you must fight and win Duels. That, is why so many people fight for fun, and survival, in the Accelerated World. The retain the ability to Accelerate, you must have points. To gain more points, you must fight. There is no other way.

You fight using a "Duel Avatar". They take on the appearance of past experiences, and are molded to your psyche. They are identified by their color, which is usually stated in the avatar's name. The color determines your strengths and weaknesses. Duels are decided by the basic concept of lowering your opponent's HP to zero. There is a timer set for 1800 seconds. If neither player is defeated in said time, it is a draw. You also have a special bar, which is built up as you take damage, deal damage, and destroy the environment. This is used for your more powerful special attacks.

Red is based upon long ranged attacks
Blue is based upon close combat and short range
Yellowbases itself upon non-offensive attacks
Green is a mixture on Blue and Yellow elements
Orange is a mixture of Red and Yellow elements
Purple is a mixture of Red and Blue elements

Unlimited Arena: The Unlimited Arena is available to players level 4 or above . Unlike normal duels, it has no time limit, can be stayed in indefinitely, and has something special. Large NPC monsters. Players team up and join "The Hunt" to gain Burst points from these monsters, for they are quite powerful. However, only the player who delivers the killing blow gains the points. The only way to exit the Unlimited Arena is through the designated entry and exit points

Appearance: James is about 5' 8" tall, slim, and has pale skin from rarely being outside. He has bright blond hair, and emerald green eyes. He normally wears a white t-shirt, a pair of blue jeans, and a pair of black sneakers.
Personality: James is a major gamer nerd, and is able to tell you basically anything about any game, whether it's still being planned, came out 20 years ago, or came out that day. He spends as much time in the Accelerated World as possible, and is not very sociable irl, unlike in the Accelerated World, where he's brave as can be.
Biography: He doesn't like to talk about it...

Special Attacks/Abilities: Lightning Strike: James shoots a lightning bolt out of his bow, dealing high damage, but the move needs to charge up to be used, and no other abilities can be used while it is charging. It also has a cooldown time of 240 seconds.
Armor Mode: The damage dealt to James is reduced by 30% for a limited time.
Shield Dash: James dashes forward at high speeds, shoving his opponent back with his shield, but his movement speed is lowered for 120 seconds after this ability is used.
Falcon Strike: James fires six arrows from his bow at once, which all lock onto their target and go straight through, with a 15% chance of the arrows coming back around for another strike.

Appearance: Lila has sky blue eyes and brown hair that she wears in a long plait down her back. She has hardly any friends in real life and so she prefers to spend the majority of her time in the Accelerated world, as a result she has quite pale skin.
Personality: Lila is quite a shy girl and doesn't really approach people before they approach her. Her behaviour in the Accelerated world mimics her real life personality, the main reason why she prefers to use long-range attacks. But, be warned. Don't judge a book by it's cover. If you get her angry, she can get very aggressive very easily.
Biography: Lila doesn't really talk about it to anyone... She is too shy most of the time.

Abilities/Weapons: Throwing Knives (Can this be like unlimited? Since it is in a virtual world.), Smoke bombs x5 (Regenerated in each fight but she has that amount for one fight and cannot use more.), Shuriken, Throw knives, Throw smoke bomb, Throw Shuriken.
Special Attacks/Abilities: Shuriken Strike: Throws 3 Shurikens at once that do increased damage. Cooldown time of 210 seconds.
Light Armour: Speed is increased for 40 seconds but armour is lowered a little, making her more vulnerable to attacks.
Backstab: For 90 seconds, hitting an enemy in the back does increased damage. 165 seconds cooldown.
