"I agree with you there. I could feel the weight, but I am not used to fighting with anything heavier than my shortswords and the pull of my shortbow. I've never fought with a longsword or greatsword, I gave up on the long after just feeling the weight and taking a few swings." Lidol nodded as Tengwa agreed with her 'feeling' from the right passage and followed her into it. Lidol followed very close to Tengwa to spot for traps and be able to push Tengwa onto the ground if they triggered anything that she missed.
Lidol followed Tengwa into the ever darkening hallways and placed one hand on Tengwa's shoulder and one on the wall to keep them from losing each other in the darkness. Lidol feared that there would be traps in the dark, but she was very happy not to walk into any more of them. "It surely looks like it," Lidol responded and smiled back at Tengwa. Lidol stopped Tengwa as she moved up towards the pedestal and scanned for traps but soon let her go again when she did not find anything.
She started looking around the area together with Tengwa for anything that could be fit into the slot and she felt around it. When she was about to draw her own sword and poke into the slot, Tengwa got the same idea and placed the old sword into the slot and a large noise from cogs and mechanics started. Lidol grabbed Tengwa and pulled her back, afraid that they had triggered some horrible trap due to placing the wrong thing into the slot. She was happily mistaken though when the gate opened their passage.
"That is taken for granted Tengwa. I don't want to trigger another trap, or something worse for that matter." Lidol walked slowly after Tengwa and pulled out her bow and put an arrow onto the string, preparing to fire at any time. As they entered the chamber, Lidol began to quickly scan everything inside it with her trained eyes. "Don't say that Tengwa!" Lidol said loudly just when a bunch of bones started to form and scales appeared on them behind the flesh and a full dragon too form in front of the pair. "Oh gods! I don't think we can deal with that!" Lidol said into Tengwa's ear, but it was still somewhat loud.
Lidol looked the dragon over and saw the tablets in the back of the room. "Can you keep it distracted by talking to it, or even attack it for that matter? You only need to keep at it until I can grab the tablets and then we make our escape. We can close the gate behind us and trap it inside."
