    There's another type that you have to apply for. I can't remember what it is exactly, but I just got approved for it. I go denied on the basic social security thing due to not working myself.

    EDIT: I was accepted for SSI. And from the time I filed to now, I'll be getting $1000 since I'm an adult now. And, I'll be getting $300 a month until I tell the chick at the Social Security office that the money is going to be used to help pay bills, then I'll be getting $700 a month. So, look into the SSI thing.
