I've already told my parents, and they're contacting my sister. I had no idea she had left until I got home from work. By then, she was already at the party. I know that there will be drinking at this party, and I like to think she's smarter than drinking and driving, but a lot of other things could happen. I'd go get her if I knew where the party was, but I haven't been able to find out.
She's just guilt tripping me and its really bugging me.

Now since she is guilt tripping you , you ask her how much trouble she will be in. Before/after that you state all the trouble you'll be in. you lying to your parents will actually be worse then your sister lying. This is because they expect it from her, and won't from you. If you lied they will look back and wonder on what else you lied about in the past and if they can even trust you anymore since they believed you this time. Also you're the adult of the situation, if you were caught lying you would have most likely been treated as such, which is not a good thing when you're in trouble.

If she doesn't see, understand or care about these things, then she wasn't much of a sister to begin with, which means you were more then in the right for getting her in trouble to save you own skin. If she doesn't care about what could happen to you, then it proves that she'd be overly willing to get you in trouble for saving her own.

My parents and I have a really good relationship. I've never lied to them growing up, never snuck out, never missed curfew, etc. As a reward, they've always given me a lot of freedom. And they recently paid for my boyfriend and I to spend a week in DC together. Its a big step for them, as they've always been the more traditional "no nights together unless you're married" type.

Now my little sister is 17. Her relationship with my parens isn't the best. They busted her for sneaking out to get drunk at a party when she was 12. She's been a handful ever since. For that reason, when they left for vacation this weekend, they asked me to come back from college to watch her.

I just got back from work to find out that she was not at home. Turns out she's gone with her boyfriend to a small "get together" with the high school basketball team. She's asked me to tell my parents that's she's home so that they don't make a big deal out of it.

I've told her I wouldn't lie for her, and she's making me feel like complete shit.
