The Pathway to Markus (Science-Fiction RP)

UPDATE: The IC Thread will take a while to post because I have to write a majority of the clues and whatnot, so it will be a while until something is posted.

I have an interesting idea.

I'm looking for 4 (other) people to join me in this science-fiction adventure. I'll give a brief outline of the story, and what I want to have from everybody...

The ancient world of Memoria was lost thousands of years ago, during the years of the Precursors. Now, one of four shards of the PDM (Planetary Data Map) for Memoria has been located in the tomb of the ancient Precursor Lord Ankara Gorran. Now, rival worlds are fighting for the opportunity to find this lost world and claim it for themselves, as it holds secrets to the most powerful beings in history; the Precursors.

So, long story short, as your character you will be searching for this planet. With the other four characters you can talk amongst yourselves and either team up, become mortal enemies, or just avoid each other and race to the finish. I will be controlling three characters; my character I'll be using for the RP, the narrator (which I'll explain in a moment), and a surprise character. What the narrator will be doing, is each time there is a post by the narrator he will leave some sort of clue: it may be a riddle, a code you need to decipher, or another means of mystery, as well as moving the story along where it may need a push.

Unlike Star Wars, this galaxy has no driving "force" that runs everything that can be manipulated into power, rather there is a power discovered by the Precursors called, Menflection (Latin derived, Mens meaning Mind and Flectus meaning Bend, or to Bend. Into English, the power is called the "Mind Bender" or to "Bend the Mind."). This is basically Telekinesis with stages of how much of your mind you can control. I'll get more into detail if this RP gets off the ground.

Basically the type of characters I'm looking for are:
- Smugglers/Traders/Pilots
- Adventurers/Historians
- Menflectors (Warriors much like Samurai, or Jedi, but having the use of Menflection rather than raw power, or the force)
- Soldiers
- Pirates
- And really, any other interesting type of character you can create, but the above list are "preferred" classes.

So, for an IC thread this may be too much info, but I want to get people interested because it seems like a neat idea. Who's in?!

Interested! This looks like a very cool idea, and I'll be keeping my eye on it.

I want this to move at a relatively normal pace. I don't want this to go too fast at all, but I also don't want it to die down - that's sort of the function of the narrator. If the people in the RP get stuck or don't know where to go, then the narrator can jump in and sort of give them a direction.
