Summer Drama [Silyan & Freeze] IC

[Freeze]

Luke laughed. "Knowing their sense of direction, it's probable." He watched the fireworks as well, listening to Jessica's question. "Probably the city," he guessed with a shrug. He normally didn't think about those kinds of things... As he watched the fireworks, he sat closer to Jessica. He reached up his arms and make an exaggerated yawn expression, letting the arm closest to her fall over her shoulder with a soft smile on his face.

Justin nodded and began to head toward the boardwalk, staying silent, listening to the booms of the fireworks. Before long, thankfully, he spotted two teens sitting on a bench, with the boy's arm over the girl's shoulder. He smirked. "There's the stud," he laughing, pointing to Luke and Jessica. "This is too great."

[Silyan]

Jessica smiled at him, leaning back on the bench. "Cheesy much? I thought people only used that move in the movies." She teased, laughing softly as she turned and looked to him, grinning. "But I guess it works. I'm not complaining." She joked, laughing again before her gaze drifted back to the fireworks as another color burst appeared in the sky.

Zoey looked over to where Justin had pointed and grinned widely, "First time meeting and he's already making the moves? Hilarious." She joked, laughing. "Maybe we should leave them alone...For like two more seconds. Just to see what happens..." She said, wiggling her eyebrows. "I'm actually curious." She laughed.

[Freeze]

A grin spread across Justin's face. "Okay," he agreed, stopping so they could by far away enough for Luke and Jessica not to see them. "Let's keep an eye on them. If something happens, I'm gonna interrupt." He laughed to himself and turned to Zoey. "You in, Zoe?" he asked.

Luke laughed as well. "It's a classic," he said in his defense, glad she hadn't taken it with a loud or obnoxious reaction. He looked up and watched the fireworks with Jessica, thinking what move he should make next, and if he should even make one. He found it a little hard to focus with a huge boom every few seconds. He decided finally to move in a little closer to Jessica without looking away from the display.

"So in. You know it!" Zoey exclaimed with a grin. "I doubt anything will happen. Jess is too sweet to notice any of the signs." She sighed, crossing her arms with a disappointed expression. "Oh well I guess. It couldn't really hurt to watch." She said, looking to Justin, she was partially doing it because she wanted just a bit more time with just him and her alone, even if they were quiet.

Jessica smiled faintly, her cheeks becoming a light pink. She looked up at Luke before quickly looking back at the fireworks display, nibbling her lip nervlusly. She debated between doing something or not, and just decided it would be best not to. She leaned in a bit closer to him before resting her hehead on his shoulder, something that seemed pretty bold for her. She tried her best to keep her eyes trained on the fireworks but she would catch herself looking at him every now and then.

Luke smiled to himself when he felt Jessica lean on him. He said nothing and just kept his eyes on the fireworks. He sensed her gaze on him every now and then. This was going better than he had expected it to. He looked away for a second and had an internal argument about whether he or she should make the first move. Traditionally, it should be the guy. He shifted his gaze to Jessica with a smile. He really wanted to say something sweet, but Luke, like Justin, was never really good with words. He decided to let his smile do all the talking it needed to. Without wasting another second, Luke began to lean in for a kiss.

Justin was watching the two intently with a slightly devious grin plastered on his face. "Jess might be too sweet, but I'm not so sure about Luke," he observed, pointing with a small sense of urgency in his voice. "Should I jump in, or should I let the lovebirds have their moment?" he asked. "That is," he added, "unless Jessica fails to notice that he's even trying to kiss him..." He shrugged. It could be possible. Or she might reject him. That would suck.

Zoey looked between Justin and Luke, grinning widely. "This should be....fun to say the least. Let's just wait a BIT longer..." She mumbled, watching the two intently.

Jessica had turned to say something to Luke, before seeing what he was about to do. It was obvious that she was about to panic, much to Zoey's dismay. A panicked Jess was one that was bit, reckless. She looked around, her eyes wide before coming up with the only thing she could think of, she placed a hand infront of him. Her eyes were squeazed shut and her head angled to look at the ground as she nibbled on her lip. "Um...Um....Sorry!" She squeaked.

Zoey facepalmed before rolling her eyes. "Good god Jess...Ugh." She sighed. "Come on! Let's get over there!" She groaned, grabbing Justin's wrist and dragging him over, "Hey guys!" She called out awkwardly waving to the two.

[Freeze]

Luke's eyes were closed when Jessica placed her hand between them. Something touched his lips but it didn't feel like another pair of lips. He pulled away in time to hear her apologizing. His heart sank slightly and frowned. Then he shook his head with a light smile and a sigh. "It's fine," he said, looking away. "Don't...worry about it." He rubbed his forehead nervously, feeling an awkward air begin to materialize just in time to hear a familiar voice break the silence as the fireworks display came to a close.

Luke lifted up a hand to return Zoey's wave, but he said nothing. He had really hoped no one saw her reject him like that... He didn't blame her, but... Oh, that was just bad.

"Hey, player," said Justin with a small laugh as he approached them with Zoey's hand locked around his wrist. Luke smiled back, but he could see the seriousness on Justin's face that said 'We needa talk about this later, bro.'

"Enjoy the fireworks?" he asked the two, not wanting any awkwardness to come into the conversation.

Jessica mouthed sorry one more time before turning to Zoey and Luke, a bright red blush across her face along with a nervous smile. Zoey gave her 'the look' that symblized her disappointment.

Zoey smiled widely as she looked to Luke, "Yeah. They were great. But I think me and Jess should start heading home. It's getting pretty late." She said, grabbing Jessica's arm.

"But...But...But...." Jessica mumbled, staying where she was with a frown. "Wait! Just give me a minute." She sighed, with no warning grabbing Luke's phone and programming her name in with her number. "Uh.....Bye!" She said, being dragged away by a talking Zoey.

[Freeze]

Luke sat there, looking down at his phone's screen and Jessica's number. Justin stood next to him with his arms crossed, watching Jessica and Zoey disappear into the crowd of teenagers. His mouth was set into a hard frown. Finally, he spoke. "Don't feel bad, bro," he said, still looking at the crowd with the serious expression on his face. "Neither of us got any action tonight." Justin tore his eyes away from the crowd and looked to Luke, who was still sitting on the bench, pocketing his phone. "Don't feel bad about it," Justin assured him. "At least you got her number."

Luke nodded hesitantly and stood up. "I guess we might as well head back too, since our dates decided to leave," he said with a sigh. Justin nodded in agreement. "You wanna sleep over at my place?" Luke asked.

"All right," Justin replied, pulling out his phone and sending a quick text to his mom in Spanish before pocketing it again. "C'mon, let's go."

The two walked away from the boardwalk and headed back to Luke's house, discussing their rather unfortunate nights with one another.
