Fallout: R.o.C

Hey guys, I know that there have probably been a ton of fallout roleplay's on the site, but I had a really good idea for one, and before you read on, no, this does not go EXACTLY with the lore of Fallout, it's more or less my best interpretation and what I think would be interesting.

Fallout: Restoration of Chicago
The story of Fallout is pretty simple. The Chinese and Americans were both after the last remaining fossil fuels in the world, in an attempt to stop the other, they both launched nuclear warheads at each other simultaneously. Both sides of the world were destroyed, and later, the world. The Earth as everyone knew it had been turned into a radiation ridden wasteland. The Americans had foreseen the attack and made underground vaults. These vaults were created to save the population, or so they thought. The government hardly cared about the people, and only wanted the American culture to survive, they encouraged breeding as to repopulate the entire country and rebuilding it like the revolution. As to effect the outcomes of the population and how each of the people would come out of the vaults, the made test vaults, as to experiment with how they would breed and generally live. Perhaps giving one vault a surplus of food, but no workout equipment, or no tools, but many equipment problems. The terrible part is that many of these vaults had yet to be fully created. Only a single vault was made in Illinois. Vault 567. That is where you and few others reside. There was much bloodshed to get into the vault,a s many panicked and hoped to save their families lives. You were one of the lucky ones. The reason that only one vaults was built in Illinois is that many of the Chinese had decided to go to Illinois and spy on the Americans plans on how they would claim the fossil fuel outposts. It failed terribly. Hundreds of these Chinese spies were caught, though, they did not come easily. They fought back and killed many armed forces, but the Americans prevailed in the end. Worried about a war breaking out on their own turf, they took mostly all of the guns and explosives away from the people of Illinois. After rebellion sprung up because the citizens were worried of their own safety, they were quickly put down and quartered off. Walls and fences were built, canals that drop about 1 mile down that are more than 25 or so feet long were dug around Illinois and a few other states. There was literally no way of crossing. Especially after the nukes dropped, making it even harder to cross and disabling most bridges that go through. You have just emerged from the vault, you have just adjusted your eyes to the new light and your breath to the new air. You know your mission is to rebuild the world, like the videos had taught you ever since you had been born. There are dangers that stand in your way, though. Raiders had found this state, quartered off and they had seen that no one had been there for hundreds of years. The materials were still ripe for the taking. Your job is not to dispatch the raiders, but to rebuild the town of Chicago.

I've been wanting to do a Fallout RP for a while. Doesn't the Enclave still give some of the vaults orders and that sort of thing sometimes?

I'm thinking the character I'd like to play would probably be some kind of robotics and computers expert, typically followed around by either a Mr. Gutsy or a Protectron.

Whatever character you need for campaign; alternatively a odd-job tinkerer who worked as a carpenter before going into vault.

I would be interested in this RP. This would be my first one, and a character Id like to play would be a scavenger sharpshooter. So like a guy who brings in some interesting items and can defend himself. Weapon of choice hunting rifle

Hey guys! You all still interested? Because me and a new found friend are creating a FAllout based RP. It seems that no one is particularly enthralled with the actual storyline, s it'll be a little different, but the same aesthetics will stay the same! I'll keep you guys posted here on anymore info.

I'd be up for the first idea of trying to rebuilding the city of Chicago. Seeing as how you left the provisions and commodities of each vault up in the air give me a skillset and I'll build a character around that.

Also, where is the GM, I was hoping for a quick answer to this, perhaps my patience is thin, but the last time a gave patience to a Fallout Gm, it died the next week.

Also Tzun, I want to note, so that you don't break lore, approximately 120 Vaults were made, not counting the Secret Vault, and Prototype Vault, both of which were destroyed, so Vault 567 would not even exist.
