A demigod (or demi-god), meaning half-god, is originally a Greek mythological figure whose one parent was a god and whose other parent was human; as such, demigods are human-god hybrids. In some mythologies it also describes humans who became gods, minor deities, or simply extremely powerful people whose powers approach those of the gods even though they are not gods themselves. Examples of well-known demigods include Greek hero Heracles (Roman Hercules), the Celtic hero Cuchulain, the Sumerian king Gilgamesh (who supposedly was actually two thirds god).

Once upon a time, before the birth of Christianity, there was a time when the people would pray to the Greek Gods: Athena, Zeus, Poseidon, Aphrodite, Ares, etc. These Gods would answer the plea of many and grant them every day needs to survive. But when the rise of the Christian religion came about, people were force to abandon their gods and serve a new God. This angered the gods and they no longer answered the call of the people. They soon lost power because no one would pray for them so they went dormant for centuries. However, during the course of time, these Gods would come down to Earth and mate with humans to make Demi-God offspring to remind the people that they still exist. After the child is born, the God would leave without a trace, leaving it to the care of the human parent. Now it is modern day, the year 2013. The Gods are still mating with humans and spreading their power secretly throughout the planet. Although, one Greek God is tired of hiding in the shadows and wants the people to fear them once more: Hades. He plans to rise up take back the planet that he feels is rightfully his, but the other Gods aren’t in agreement with him. They feel like the way they’ve been doing it is just fine. Now a war is eminent and it’s time for the Gods’ children to awaken their powers and fight back against Hades. Who’s side are you on? (This will take place in Los Angeles)

OOC: Hey there! Just call me Heathen or Heath. This is a Demi-God RP where you are to make a character that has a Greek God parent and have powers according to that parent. Your character will not know they are Demi-Gods and they won’t know about their powers yet. You get to pick ANY Greek God, but if you decide to pick Hades, that makes you automatically evil, fyi. And of course you have a regular human parent. So pick wisely. This is a Free Roam RP so let’s just have fun and see where this goes. Free Roam rules apply and I’m sure we all know the basic rules like No Godmodding and things. So I don’t need to repeat them. Also, write more than one line. That’s a big pet peeve of mine. ENJOY! (Also, more than one person can have the same god parent since the Gods slept around with many humans. Just make your character Original)

Hecate (or Hekate) is an ancient goddess, most often shown holding two torches or a key and in later periods depicted in triple form. She is variously associated with crossroads, entrance-ways, fire, light, the Moon, magic, witchcraft, knowledge of herbs and poisonous plants, necromancy, and sorcery. She has rulership over earth, sea and sky, as well as a more universal role as Saviour (Soteira), Mother of Angels and the Cosmic World Soul. She was one of the main gods worshiped in Athenian households as a protective goddess and one who bestowed prosperity and daily blessings on the family. She also has a strong association with dogs (mostly black dogs).

Powers:
Witchcraft - The ability to cast an array of spells and charms that cause a variety of effects with the use of sorcery practices. This also gives him active powers such as Telekinesis and limited control over the elements and weather.
Necromancy – A subpower of witchcraft: The ability to see, communicate, and control the spirits of the dead using magical practices.
Canine Empathy - The ability to understand and communicate with Dogs.
Premonitions – The ability to see into the past/present/future.
Personality:
Eli is a very down to earth person and can typically get along with anyone he meets. He can come across as a bit naïve at times, but he is working on “fitting in with the crowd.” Eli is very outspoken and will tell you what’s on his mind at any given moment and won’t even consider if it hurts other’s feelings or not. It’s not on purpose, that’s just how he is. Eli tries to stay optimistic and help others through their problems.
Brief Bio:
Elijah was born to a human dad and the Greek Goddess Hecate. When Hecate was in human form, she met his dad at a grocery store. They hit it off, started dating and they did the deed. The pregnancy was unlike any other his dad had seen. Instead of the normal nine months, she was already giving birth after 5 months. After Elijah was born, Hecate vanished without a trace, leaving the dad to care for his son. This caused him to have an aversion to women and never got remarried or dated. Growing up, Elijah was a smart kid and was in many honors classes in school. He graduated high school early and is now studying Occultism and Greek Mythology at UCLA. The occult always fascinated him for some reason, not knowing who is mother was. He also found it weird that the Greek language came so naturally to him like he knew it as much as he did English. He was also interested in Greek Mythology growing up as a kid, having posters of his favorite gods on the walls of his bedroom. Unbeknownst to him, his true powers are about to awaken and he soon will discover who is mother is.
Other:
He’s gay and is only attracted to men. Also, he has a special talent with plants; a skill he also acquired from his mother.

Brief Bio: She was born into a home in which her father (which was one of many of Eos' lovers) had drank everyday. He fell for Eos, who threw him away when he got older. She almost never saw him, so her insatiable desires got the better of her and she was having sex by the age of 15. She was never called a slut because she seduced them into not telling anyone. She was known as the "lone-beauty" at her school and she never talked unless it was to seduce some one.
Other: She has a cat named Dawn because she felt more comfortable in the dawn of day.

Also I'm making this known. I'm only allowing one person to have Artemis as their parent and that's Maxxie just for the fact she was a virgin. Although he came to me wanting to do her and came to a conclusion how it would work.
