Deacon Xan felt his lungs clamp for air as he clung to what he assumed was the wall of the room; inapt, rapid breathing from his partially chapped lips. For the longest time, he had thought that he'd been asleep all along and it was all a nightmare, surrounded by the darkness that had absorbed everything around him. He'd thought that he was still trapped in the basement. It wasn't until he heard voices from some place away from his, that he came to reality.

"Don't play games with me!" Deacon loudly exclaimed to the voices, reaching his hands out into the blackness. He leaned forward, toppling off of some object below him and hitting the cold ground that greeted him with open arms. He quickly rose to his feet, blinking wildly as he flailed his arms around in an attempt to find either the light switch or another person. Little did he know, that his newly developed nyctophobia caused his schizophrenia to work directly against him, projecting imaginary sounds of loud crashes all around him. "Show yourself!"
