Premises:
This story takes place in the far future, where, one hundred and eight years prior, dark beings now known as Shadows who had oily and viscous bodies and a sinister looking mask in a dark mimicry of a human face started to appear at night. Humanity was caught unaware and, if at first civilization prevailed, the growing numbers of Shadows coupled by their steadily increasing strength soon had reason over their increasingly desperate attempt at holding back the dark horde.
Civilization fell, and in it's place rose domineering and territorial tribes that fought both the Shadows and each others for resources, power and territories. These tribes each associated themselves with a colour and dyed their clothes with them, going as far as to tattoo shades and symbols over their bodies that proudly stated their allegiance to their tribes, the motifs making sense only to those of their own kin.
Technology evolved rapidly in an effort to survive, and soon the ruins of civilization spawned fortifications and weapons unheard of previously... But all that paled before the awakening of the survivors' Devils.
Devils, as it were, are a strange occurrence happening when someone's life become threatened or their well being becomes sufficiently upset to transform into strong and violent beings known as Devils. In this state, physical prowess is highly enhanced and even the elements themselves sometimes heed the call the the wronged, somewhat filling the gap between the overwhelming difference of strength of Humans and Shadows.
This new developments unbalanced the status quo of the tribes and spawned a cold war, where a great contest of might and wits was organized on the background of the ever growing threat of the Shadows. Human are greedy creatures, but will the resilient tribes survive their new ordeal?
About the Story
You take charge of a Tribe of human fighting for survival and supremacy in a dark world, your Chieftain being your primary tool to achieve your goals. You will have to fight, ally, cheat and yield to survive and take power, resources and territories, the most important things for your Tribe's survival.
Shadows only emerge at night but are nothing to scoff at with various type and even more individuals, they range from a mass of dark goo to terrifying shadowy behemoths. Be wary of them as they are never alone.

This heart belongs again to darkness. All worlds begin in darkness, and all so end. The heart is no different. Darkness sprouts within it. It grows, consumes it. Such is its nature. In the end, every heart returns to the darkness whence it came.
