Jason walked into his math class. Alone again. They had new seats today, and Jason moved to the back of the class where his seat was. He had no friends to talk to. Almost everybody at school hated him and he ignored them. If they knew his other life, his other life, the sacrifices he made for them. Then they wouldn't be so rude towards him. They would almost worship him, he protects them more than anybody can be asked.

Melanie looked to the boy who had taken a seat beside her, Jason was his name she thought. She frowned lightly, feeling sorry for him. He had no friends and was always bullied, it wasn't fair. Sure, she didn't like her new seat in the back but that didn't mean she had to be rude to him. "Uh....Hey! I'm Melanie." She whispered, waving at him with a smile. Two of the cheerleaders looked back at her and made faces, to which she ignored the best she could.

Jason looked up at the girl who introduced herself as Melanie. "And I'm Jason. Look I'm going to set things straight. If you have an verbal abuse for me, can it. Otherwise I have no problem being civilized. Okay?" He said. It was obviously a reaction from being made fun of and bullied so often. It made him angry, and sad. That he went out and got SHOT AT. All for some kids who wanted to make fun of him. Jason didnt even know why the hell he was doing this half the time.

Melanie blinked and looked slightly taken aback by his response, and partially hurt. She frowned with a small sigh and merely nodded. "I....I wasn't gonna say anything mean....um.....I'm sorry...." She mumbled reluctantly, no longer sure what to say. It was obvious that he was suspscious to random friendliness. He's obviously not a very friendly person... She thought. "Oh welll..." She mumbled to herself.

"That's a first." Jason said with a small laugh, referring to the mention that Melanie wasnt going to say anything mean. "I'm sorry for offending you. I just don't really trust most of the kids around here. Comes with being bullied alot." Jason said to her. Looking her straight in the eyes. "But I get better grades, so one day I'll be their boss." He added.

Melanie's smile came back. "Yeah. They can be pretty....Douchey at times. But they've just got their own problems and stuff." She said, indirectly defending them before doodling in her notebook a bit, making a small daisy in the upper right corner of her paper. Her blonde hair was down and curly today, framing her face quite nicely. "But they still don't have a right to pick on you." She sighed.

"You don't know the worst of it." Jason mumbled softly. Quiet enough for her not to hear him. He looked at her and smilied. "I'm glad you aren't mean though. I guess everybody needs a friend. And you are mine!" He says to Melanie with a big smile on his face.

Melanie blinked, before slowly grinning. "Yeah. I guess so." She said, nodding at him firmly. "I'm everyone's!" She added in before looking toward a rather cross looking teacher who had noticed them speaking while he had been trying to teach whatever the hell it was they were learning. "Ms.Melanie. May I remind you that it is rude to speak while the teacher is speaking." He said, narrowing his eyes at Jason though. "Sorry Mr.Adams. Won't happen again...." She replied timidly. "I'm suuuure it won't." He said, never taking his eyes off Jason before turning around and continuing as Melanie slumped down in her seat.

After Melanie slumped down, something landed in her lap. It was Jason's phone. It was open to the notes page and it read. 'Go to contacts and enter your number? Be my first contact? '. Jason smilied at his new friend. He wasnt paying attention in math, he never did. But he already knew pretty much everything from the class. So there was no issue right there.

Melanie looked down at his phone and stifled a laugh. She looked back at him and merely nodded before taking his phone and pressing the home button. After a bit of messing around she had finally entered her number under the contact name, Mel. But that's not all she had done, she had made his screen saver one of a My Little Ponies scene then changed his keyboard to the exact same thing. She lokked up at the board and copied down notes, smiling to herself.
