    Captivated IC

    (Welcome, everyone, now have fun!)

There was a faint dripping noise somewhere around her head, and Elise's ears twitched with each drop as she slowly regained consciousness. A weak moan escaped her lips as her eyes fluttered open, a coldness running up her legs. The steel barred door that greeted her as she fully opened her eyes sent her into a sudden panic.

"What?" She whispered to herself. Her breathing quickened as she looked around the small cell in which she was being held. The stone walls surrounding her were cracked and crumbling, leaving different sized chunks of stone about the cement floor. There was no light in the cell besides the dim stream coming from the flickering bulb in the hallway beyond the barred cell door. She could barely make out another barred door on the other side of the hallway and she immediately pushed herself up and ran to the door, disregarding the fresh cut on her hand from a shard of stone. She curled her fingers around the bars, blood slipping down the bars and her arm, and shook the door hoping it would open. When it budged only slightly in its place, she looked as best she could in either direction of the hall, spotting other cells similar to her own. She called out, half hoping there were others, but wishing no one else was in the same situation.

"Hello!" Elise screamed, her voice cracking. "Please, is there anyone there? Help!"
With a drop of blood, you will take them out for me.

Vincent woke up with a jerking motion and let out a couple coughs. He sat up from a most uncomfortable cot and looked around a small cell. How the hell did he get in here? He dusted off his $1300 suit that he was wearing and inspected it for any serious damage that couldn't be repaired. He found that the left side of it had torn at the seam. He then recalled the events of his horrid date. First, he had shown up fifteen minutes late because his clock was slow. Next, the waiter served them the wrong food and when he was corrected served them poorly made food. The whole conversation between them was the most uncomfortable experience. She was clearly from a very high class family and had a very privileged life. Vince had to earn the suit he was wearing. Finally that night, his car broke down, and she would let him take the limo she came in because she didn't want to waste time dropping him off. As a result he had to walk the fifteen miles home because he didn't have his phone to call the tow and a friend to drive him home, not that he even made it.

Wherever he was, it was old, and really well built. He came over to inspect the barred cell door that he would need to go through to get out. Then he heard a woman's voice calling for help. "You aren't alone, not that I'm in any position to help." He then muttered to himself. "Looks like my luck's gone to hell again."

He kicked the door and it made a most unpleasant noise that he immediately regretted.

    OOC: Oops, I'll fix it.

Kyle could feel the ground shaking with a resounding thud. "Why is everyone yelling?" Kyke felt his head throbbing with pain every pulse of his heart sent fresh waves.

He slowly stood to his feet, "Can someone turn the heat up? I think I'm going to puke." Kyle stumbled around till he finally ran into a large wooden door. "I'm not feeling so good" before he could even try the latch kyle found himself doubled over puking. "Oh boy, that tastes just like last night." Kyle gave s light chuckle, "So who is the guy making all that racket?"

Kyle sat on the floor leaning against a door, the room spinning beneath his feet. "WAY too much to drink."

Nana was on the cot, arms behind her head and legs kicked up and crossed. Were it not for the eerie surroundings, Nana would look as if she were lounging on a couch, lazily spending the day. By now her eyes had adjusted but unlike the others she could hear screaming nearby, Nana wasn't panicked. She was upset that her brand new dress was getting heaps of dirt and grime on it, but that made her agitated, not panicked. Her ears perked up as she listened to the cries for help; two male voices, one female was all she could discern. So she wasn't alone, that much was clear now, but how many were there?

"Shouting won't help," Nana said, raising the volume of her voice so the others making a racket could hear, "I'd appreciate it if you guys would be quiet. I'm trying to take a nap over here."

Nana turned onto her side, staring into the stone wall in front of her. She stifled a yawn and began to toss and turn on the cot. It was the most uncomfortable bed she had been on, but that wouldn't stop her from attempting to doze off.

How dreamlike to see my x-sisters, outside the context of a Papa Song dome. They sang Papa Song’s Psalm, over and over; background hydraulics underbassed that sickening melody. But how jubilant they sounded! Their Investment was paid off. The voyage to Hawaii was under way, and their new life on Xultation would shortly begin... Watching them from the hangway, I envied their certainty about the future.

After Elise called out for a help, a few other voices answered back. One, a male who seemed to be in a relatively similar state of mind as she, and the other two, another male and female, seemed to find their yelling annoying; the female even announcing she was trying to take a nap.

"How the hell could anyone be so damn calm in a situation like this?" She whispered to herself. She shook the cell door again in the hopes that it would open, but she was only greeted with the slight budge that she had been before. "Damn," she whispered to herself again, her breathing had slowed to an almost regular pace knowing she wasn't alone in this eerie basement-or at least she assumed they were in a basement.

She looked around the cell. A lone cot was pushed against one of the walls and Elise grimaced at how dirty and uncomfortable it looked. She then immediately longed to be in her own bed, her soft pillows and blankets surrounding her to make her feel as if she were floating on a cloud. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, hoping that when she opened them again she would wake up from this nightmare. Nope. The dark surroundings of the cell were still there. Slowly, she walked back to the door.

"My name is Elise," she said shakily. While it may not have been the most appropriate timing, she figured she might as well start a report to see who she could trust, as well as to let them know she could be trusted. One could never been too careful who to trust in a matter like this.

"Hi, names Kyle. I'm irish and I love to drink. That's all I got for ya babe." Kyle gave a light chuckle, he could feel the liquor from the night before finally making its way out. He slowly opened his eyes, finding the room to settle into a more stable spin. Then with time it settled completely, he could make out a small cot and what he hoped wasn't the toilet. Well if he was sick again at least he knew where to crawl to. He grimaced from nausea.

Nana let out a soft scoff at the second introduction. Not the content necessarily, but how frank he was about it. She questioned whether that was his idea of a pick-up line or his way of breaking the tension. Either way it gave her a good laugh as she turned around onto her back. She placed her hands behind her head and stared up at the dingy, moldy ceiling, making a disgusted face as she watched.

"Sorry," she said, not truly sorry at all, "But if you want my name it'll be ten dollars. That's my going rate, you see. Besides, what good are names when you can't even see someone." Nana sat up from the cot, finding it all but impossible to get comfortable, "But if you slip a sheet of paper my way I could be persuaded to reveal my name at no extra charge. Which is a once in a lifetime opportunity."

She leaned against the wall the cot was attached to and placed the back of her hands against it so her hair wouldn't get ruined by whatever parasites grew there.

Kyle gave a loud snort, "Ten bucks?! I've paid ten bucks before, but it got me everything except a name. It was a much better deal." He starts his way towards the cot, 'Eh I've slept in worse when places.' He gathers his jacket and balls it up to make a nice pillow. He then starts to work his way into any sort of comfortable position.

Getting frustrated he simply simply stands up and throws himself down onto it. He was also passed out the last time he slept on something like this. "If you had paper and a pen I'd ask to borrow it, then slip it under your door. Besides I don't even know where you are outside this room."

Vincent listened to the exchange going on between the drunk and the crazy woman. He couldn't believe her attitude. She was asking for money in this kind of situation? How the hell were these morons so relaxed? They were prisoners. Wait, but why would somebody want to imprison some unlucky nobody like him? "What the hell is wrong with you people? You're asking for money at a time like this? Are you insane?"

The only other sane person here seemed to be Elise, the woman that had called out before. Vincent was steadily getting more frantic as he realize his situation. He hated being caged up. He hated not being able to go anywhere. He wanted to get out. This was worse than when he went to Juvenile Hall when he was sixteen for breaking and entering. He grabbed the door at some decent handle points and began shaking it. "Get me the hell out of here!"

Elise was taken back by the comment Kyle made. The last time anyone called her "babe" the night ended with her slapping a man in the face as he tried to grab her ass. She listened to the conversation between him and the other girl and while they were strangely calm, they didn't seem to be a threat. She decided to keep her guard up until she could determine if they were worth taking the time to know. The other man in the basement made a remark about the others' demeanor. Elise let out a sigh and silently agreed, but afraid they would never be able to get out of their cells. There was a brief moment of silence before someone called out.

"Get me the hell out of here!" Elise could hear the rattling of a cell door and knew he was shaking the bars in an attempt to force them open, it's what she had tried, but to no avail. But, not even a moment after there was a soft click followed by the sound of squeaking metal.

"What was that?" Elise said, rattling her cell door, her shoulders slumping when it remained locked. Her mind placed the sound as coming from the same area of the basement as the man who had just called out. Could it really be that easy? Was there someone watching them? "Let me out!" She yelled out, waited a moment, then shook the cell door, letting out curses under her breath when it stayed locked once again.
