In one corner of the arena stood one tall, intimidating mecha. On the other, stood another.
From inside the cockpit, Thomas did one last scan over the diagnostics of his mech. Everything seemed to be working in order, full on ammo, energy cells, stable on all parts... Looks like things were in his favor for once.
With a flick of his wrist and a tap of his finger on a single switch, an eyepiece swung down in front of his left eye. Inside, a small hud displayed, showing a basic targeting program- Basic programming that game with the mechs features, rather than an actual advanced component itself. It got a basic lock on of his opponents mecha, and automatically updated his default hud that took up his cockpit monitors with a very crude scanning of the enemy mech, including scanned damages. These scanned damages would be able to spot any cracks or scars in the armor, though, considering this was default programming, the program was crude at best.
Pulling his laser rifle up, he pumped it once, which signified the weapon was charging up and... Ready to fire. He would wait for his opponent to make the first move, though he had a feeling he knew what it would be...
