Ren just wanted the man out of his house. That wasn't supposed to happen at all. She heard the sickening snap and knew right then and there that the blast killed him. She didn't want to kill anyone, that was the last thing she wanted. Not only that, but now the two men were trying to take their lives while Minoru was trying to kill one of them. She was supposed to be sitting in bed, watching anime, reading manga, and perhaps playing games. She was a neet, she avoided society and it avoided her. She was safe inside of her house, her fortress, her castle. She didn't ask for any of this chaos.

Despite the man dying though she knew she didn't mean to kill him. She didn't want to and felt horrible. She took a life. She hated violence, mainly because violence was what the irrational resort to. Here she had just killed someone, one of the ultimate acts of violence. She knew though that it was self defense and that it was an accident. She was rational and intelligent enough to not get consumed by the emotions welling up in her that came from this unintentional act. Besides, Ren had other problems, mainly the katana wielding man coming right at her, blood-lust clearly painted all in his expression.

She wanted this to stop though, she didn't want it to continue anymore. She still felt that incredible power boost that the green light gave her and felt another power in her. She focused all of her will, every last bit of energy she had, into this next spell. It was now, or never, and Ren was choosing now. "Bufu!" Shards of ice suddenly encased the man, dealing damage to him and luckily freezing him in place, immobilizing him completely, which was good as she would rather not kill again if she could help it.

She then quickly turned towards Minoru and the opponent he was fighting, hoping that she could prevent another death in her home by doing the same. She really hoped this would freeze him just like the first man so that they could just tie the men up and, once they thawed, get their questions answered by them.

Kage entered the bar as the soldier told him and looked around at the people trying to set up. Without a word, he walked up to the nearest group of people. He stood there for a moment, looking around the bar, then back to the people. "Hey. I'm joining the resistance. I was told to go in here and help set up." He paused for a moment, his eyes drifting over to the injured. He wondered if they were injured in the most recent battle. He looked back over to the people in front of him. "What can I do to help?"

Nori was battered and bloodied all over, but his physical state was nothing in comparison to the successful result of his plan. Except, when he began moving Nori felt a sense of vertigo, his limited medical knowledge warning him that if he ran to the kitchen he wouldn’t have enough energy to leave the room. Immediately after, the screams of the beast got so loud it attracted outside attention, the relief this brought short lived, destroyed when realization dawned.

For starters they could just be defenseless, unsuspecting of the stuck demon that made the entire racket. Whilst he couldn’t risk the safety of others on this, especially considering how it might soon free itself, the real reason was he had to do finish this by himself. (Theme) He had made many promises since everything began to give himself courage to face reality, and now was the time to start acting on them. If he was going to survive he couldn’t just expect others to always save him, of course, at the same time that didn’t meant he would do everything by himself.But he had to finish this with his own hands. With a glance to his partner, and a last thanks for his grandpa, Nori picked his pocketknife and began to slash wildly at the back of the monster, aiming at the already cut parts to compensate for his waning strength. Cut, He heard a growl. Slice, now a bigger scream, with an increased struggle to free itself made by the thing. Slash. Gash. Rip. Its screams sounded like music for Nori’s deranged state of mind. Slit. Hack. Tear. For a moment he thought he heard a desperate plea, not that it mattered.

Reaching striking distance, he casts agi, putting the power of flame behind his already powerful attack. Aiming for the openings, Kenta struck at vital points on the man's large body, using his speed and agility to its full advantage. He never wasted energy on wild strikes and used controlled attacks for the most damage with the least energy expended. While he was on the assault, tan-ki and pixie rained spells on the man with varying effects and he kept out of the line of fire so Axel had a clear shot.
