Fraternities have long been the source of many illegal activities on college campuses, I would know, I'm in one. This is a role play about a fraternity that has become the Mafia of their campus. This is the biggest Fraternity on campus, and these boys are mixed up in everything immoral and illegal that ever occurred in the University. They have branches in drug production and dealing, extortion, book keeping, blackmail, robbery, theft, assault, absolutely anything you can think of happened here. The President of TAK is a real wise-guy, he's managed to keep his guys on campus and out of trouble for five years, despite the best efforts of the local police force. He's acquired annex houses, local business fronts, and apartment buildings to use as warehouses, as well as stocked up something of an armory for his boys if they should ever need weapons. A new hotshot police captain has recently been transferred into the office, and in the course of several months has estimated that 50% of the drugs and reported crimes on campus originated from within TAK. Captain Delaney, the new guy, needs an informant to help him build a case against the brothers of TaK, and so he approaches a new freshmen going to school purely on student loans with the offer of a full ride if the freshmen agrees to be the much needed informant.
There are two other large fraternities that are just as bad as TAK, and the three frequently engage in turf wars over street corners and new hookers. These engagements typically range in terms of severity from minor to fatal, although the last death was several years ago. TAK is a frequent donor and sponsor of local charities, and also owns two bars near campus.
This is an idea that's been playing with itself in my head for a while now, and I've finally decided to take a shot at it. So we have this basic plot line down, what I need now are players. What are the players playing? Good question. Keep asking them. We need:
A pledge, probably one or two.
Three or four brothers.
One or two hookers, or hostile fraternity brothers. (These are optional, not necessary at all.)
This idea I know is kind of barebones, but I need to write out what the setting is before I can write out an introductory post for an OOC/INTC paragraph. Hopefully the idea of a thriller/suspense roleplay entertains at least a few of you. my plan is for this to kind of be in the line of The Departed, Death Note, Dexter types.
