(OOC) Pokemon - Utopia Project

Introduction
----------

In Pokemon Utopia Project, the world is set 'several hundred' (not really) years in the future, a massive war having occured throughout history, and an area taken as a new home in hope for a 'Better Tommorow'. The Area walled in a ring around the edges the wall a towering height, and the area an expanse far larger than most of the continents we know, the wall armed with guards against some too curious. Pokemon from many regions have been gathered here for people to enjoy and the continent divided into seventeen public sectors, however, there is an eighteenth area with restricted access.

As more people join life upon the Utopia Project, which by the way is a project to bring about a Utopia, a place free of the evils of the 'past' known as Team Rocket, Magma, Aqua, Galactic, Plasma, Etc... (Cipher, Snagem, Go-Rock, Dim Sun, Pokemon Pinchers. :P) However, all is not as it seems when all is said and done. And the ruling body of the Utopia Project, (known henceforth as BT (Better Tommorow)) has pitted a somewhat treacherous task against the residents, however its merely to continue a way of life that has existed for long as can be remembered, albeit a bit more influential.

Each Trainer from each city to complete a quest of obtaining seventeen vouchers may bring the vouchers to the BT headquarters, there they will have a shot at increasing the funding given to the sector they repesent. For example, if a trainer from the Poison Sector managed to obtain the vouchers from the other sixteen sectors (the voucher for your sector is obtained for free) they would increase the funding of their sector. (Yay he's a hero!) And other such events would occur. Such as reavealing BT's true intentions... and their reason for creating a world where they have absolute rule.

So will you join and become one to challenge Utopia? Or will you think all is right and mindlessly support a Better Tommorow.

Ahem, okay then. So yeah, have fun in the world, and just well. Don't be a royal pain, and we should all get along fine.

Better Tommorow
----------

Better Tommorow serves as our villain, but is also the governing body of the pokemon world we shall be exploring. So, one way of battling them once their evils are revealed may lead to having a vast majority against you as a whole. But don't be worried. Justice will always triumph over the evil. (Well atleast in cheesy stories it does.) Overall though, you will encounter a Few members of Better tommorow on your journey, some may be obvious as members. Some may appear as someone with bad intentions, and others might be someone who helped you through a hard time. Their goals, their actions and their appearance... overall they are an ambiguous anonimity...

Information about each Sector will be here. Walking is the main method of Transport. Though you can pay to get from sector to sector on a public monorail that stops in the major city for each. Or you can hobo it up and literally hop on one of the private trade freight trains that runs around the area too. The sectors all trade with each other in some form or another. So there's always a way to get from point A to point B with less effort than walking, but you lose out on a bit of the experience.

Normal Sector

The Normal Sector is a rather normal place, a few small tows scatter the plains that fill the land, the place basically just villages on plains. A Train passes through near Reverie Town, one of the towns in the normal sector, and the town host to the Normal Sectors Gym. Lead by the one and only...

The fire sector is one centered around massive artificial volcano. In the center of the volcano is a massive solar energy plant, producing the electricity for most of the known world. As such, the fire sector holds a lot of power. Though it doesn't really matter much for out purposes as of yet. Though, the fire sector is rocky, its also massively hospitable to all that travel in it. And there are field of food being grown in the fertile soil. The people who stray from the volcano making small farming towns who see the pokemon that roam wild and free here as a nuisance. Thus the firesector is one like many others, chaotic and its own little word. But still a part of a system.

The fighting sector is a sector that at time looks almost incomplete whenever your around a major area fin the sector. Its rocky landscape and buildings that never seem to be quite finished put a sign up that might as well be Permantly Under Construction. Of course, the constant expansion of the sector puts the brute strength of the Fighting type pokemon that call this land home to great use. Whou would think there would be a use for a pokemon that could move that building just a bit closer to the otherone eh?

Personality: A graceful, fighting champion and a loyal leader of the fighting-type gym. Fiona has a bond with her Pokemon that is rarely seen, she trained side by side with her Pokemon, giving an elegant side to their already tough layer. Full of aces up her sleeve, she is ready to unleash the fiercest combo upon her opponents in order to defeat any challenger. She takes loyalty in high regard and can easily be frustrated by two things; careless trainers and...plain old fighting styles.

She is one of the newer gym-leaders as she spent her time winning various other competitions, before settling down and leading this gym into new heights. Her reputation and fierce 'tri-star' combo makes her one of the, endurance-wise, toughest leaders out there; if not the toughest.

Personality: "Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the most electrifying lady of gym leaders." Nina is upbeat, talkative girl that loves to smile and praise both herself and her team. What she loves even more is when other people praise her and her team. She is quite the persona, especially loud for a lady. It wasn't strange to hear music coming out of her gym while she was battling a challenger; in her own words: it helps both her and her Pokemon get into the right mindset for the challenge.

Although she is ready to do anything to get attention she seeks so eagerly, she will refrain herself from pushing her Pokemon too hard during the battle. She is a kind person deep inside. She is also a person that never learned how to use her inside voice, obviously.

Venture into the caves and you'll find thriving underground metropolises. The people here are nice and kind, despite their rocky exterior. They give a new meaning to “never judge a book by its cover”.

And of course in one of those “towns” if you can even call it that, is the gym.

Ghost Sector

The ghost sector shares a similarity with the dark sector in that it is not the safest place for young minds. There is crime here yes. But there are also people mysteriously disappearing. Its the bastard child of the success of the Steel and Dragon sectors which box it in. Atleast in the Dark sector there's a way for them to get ahead in the long run. The Ghost sector, not so much. Its “kill or be killed” here. And the members of this sector are often in other sectors bringing back what little they can scavenge just to survive. The sector is covered in slumlike living conditions and seemingly abandoned buildings that have been claimed by the pokemon that run wild and free.

Personality: Personally, Bryan is a quiet figure, that keeps to himself more than enough. He is indeed more that it meets the eye; He is quite the thinker and one of the best strategists there are, but the fact that he lets little information out makes him a fierce gym leader. His bond with Pokemon is a strong one, and although not thinking of his Pokemon as "friends", he earned more than enough respect in their eyes, which makes them a loyal team.

His experience at being a gym leader is making him one tough opponent. He is known to taunt challengers during the battle, yet it is not known if it is for tactical purposes or just feeling so comfortable during battling that he is able to let his inner feeling out. That said, he talks the most while fighting; multi-tasking is obviously his prized skill.

Always hiding her face behind her long hair and hoods, it is very hard to see the true Tia from far away. Her pale, freckled complexion is always hidden by something, as she doesn’t like it when people stare at her. She normally wears a gray sweatshirt (hood almost always up). Her hair pours out from either side of the hood in waves of teal. Red eyes that glare into your soul and a pouty mouth, Tia looks strictly annoyed by everything. She has a healthy build, standing at about 5’3 and weighing about 125 lbs. Tia sometimes stands pigeon-toed, an unhealthy habit born from cowering away from people, and she almost always bows her head while in a crowd.

Personality:
Tia tries her hardest not to get noticed. She tries to stay hidden in the shadows, trying hard not to reveal her true self to anyone. In reality, she is easily made upset, especially by little things, and is always trying her hardest not to explode into a fit of yelling and blaming others when something bad happens. Surprisingly reckless and independent, Tia never backs down from a fight, and normally rushes straight into the line of fire if it is needed. Behind all of it, Tia is extremely self-conscious behind her violent and fierce cover. She hates when people run away because of her anger, and she hates herself for hitting and yelling at people so suddenly. There are times when she simply finds a corner and curls up in it, depressed about her decisions of the day and such. Tia, although appearing a bit scary at first, absolutely loves being around people. She also loves cute things, but hides that “weakness” behind her violent act as well. One of her fears is being absolutely alone.

In battles she is cunning yet reckless. Although she tries to build up a defense before jumping right into the battle, she always ends up having her Pokemon attack too roughly and too quickly.

Personality: Desmond is quiet, he'd rather be alone with his pokemon than being with other people. He's been this way ever since he got his first pokemon, speaking less to friends and family, and instead talking to his pokemon. Seeing his pokemon get hurt is the one thing that can truly make him panic.

Brief Bio: Looking like he's in his later teen years by standing at 5'7, Desmond might not look it, but he can outsmart most people his age with ease, even giving older generations a run for their money. Making him a decent trainer in, and out, of battle. Growing up in the normal district, he found himself liking the plains, normally being found in them. He decided to become a trainer and take on Utopia, curious of how everything worked. His first pokemon was a Meowth that he had encountered in town, roaming on it's own across the rooftops, swiping food and MooMoo Milk whenever possible. It was fate when the pokemon ended up being chased past him by a Lillipup, which Desmond stopped without second thought. To Desmond's surprise, the Meowth said 'Thank you' before dashing off, leaving the boy in deep confusion that a pokemon had just spoke to him. Over the months the two continued to encounter eachother, Desmond curiously listening to the pokemon talk whenever they encountered, it had seemed to be from farther away, said to of lost it's old trainer, who was a very knowledgeable man who taught her to speak English. Soon enough Desmond had decided he wanted a pokemon, and chose the talking Meowth he had come to adore. ending up spending much more time with it than his family after obtaining it. It was family, and he knew it'd follow him anywhere, even in battle.

Vivi a bit of a tomboy, and isn't afraid to work hard and get down in the dirt and get muddy; after all, she is from the Water Sector. She is an avid swimmer frequenting the beach, but the wetlands are also a favourite place of her's to visit. She loves riding her bike, or running. Her and her father have a couple plots for berries in her backyard, and she waters them, but she's not as avid at taking care of them as those in the Grass Sector might be. Waverider has been her partner for a couple years, and she has grown close to him; he never leaves her side. She has wanted to catch other types, but hasn't had the chance to explore the other Sectors; she's hoping that with this 'Quest' that she is going on to collect the vouchers that she can explore and see more types of Pokemon in this world. Personality: Tends to be energetic and curious, constantly moving, asking questions, and has to be doing something. He is an avid reader, learning as much as he can on pokemon since his first one crawled into his life. He prefers reading, tinkering, and playing with his pokemon over human interaction most of the time, though he does try and make friends when he can. He uses his what he knows in his pokemon battles, but is always pleased with the outcome, provided that his pokemon weren't severely hurt.

Brief Bio:Drake stands about 5' 10" seeming a little short in his mind. having lived in the Electric sector his entire life, Drake has experienced much of the night life that a fifteen year old can. Though he enjoyed the excitement and thrill that the night life brought, his true passion in life was knowledge. He could often be found reading books and tinkering with computers, reading up on mechanics of various objects, and other activities of the sort. Pokemon were one of the few things that Drake had not read up about, until encountered his first wild pokemon. He wandered into his room, about 3 years ago, after a long night out noticing his widow was open and that his lamp was off, odd since he usually turned the lamp on before he left, assuming that he would arrive back late. When to turn it on, but nothing happened. He checked the power cord, finding it unplugged a small insect sucking power from the outlet. Drakes natural curiosity took over, as he searched his room for the one book he had on pokemon. He searched the book for the small pokemon, learning that it was called a joltik, and that they ate electricity. He generated some static electricity and used that to coax the joltik away from the outlet and into his hand. That night, Drake decided to become a pokemon trainer, raising his new found friend and hoping to find others like him. Brief Bio: Allen grew up in the Steel Sector, living his life as a normal steel sector kid would, playing with the pokemon of their parents. He grew up playing with his father's Metagross and his mother's Skarmory. They would play hide'n'seek, they would play monsters, they played everything. Until the day they decided to play near a cave. Playing near the cave, a wild Steelix came barreling out of the cave, scarring and scattering a lot of little Arons and Lairons. Being kind hearted in nature he ran over to one of the Arons that laid there injured after the Steelix had run it over. The rest of the Arons seemed fine, but this one was injured. Using his mothers Skarmory he flew back to town to take the Aron to the Pokecenter. After healing the Aron he tried to take it back to the cave, but the Aron wouldn't leave him. So he decided to keep the Aron, and at the age of eleven he had gained his first Pokemon. He decided on that day that he was going to catch a lot of Pokemon.

If you need someone to talk t, she'll listen. She just wants everyone to be happy. And truly believes that a better tomorrow can be achieved.

Brief Bio: Chloe is a simple woman from the grass Sector, she's never been much for battle. Just has had her pokemon as a companion for aslong as she could remember. Now, as she pushes ahead in her life, she wants to adventure before things get too complicated. She cares about pokemon, and wants to learn more. She wants to meet and play with her pokemon. She wants to grow closer to them. Alone she strives to become someone like a pokemon professor. And she hopes dearly she can achieve any goal she sets. Her methods however, may be a bit odd.
