Hm... Well, I think I may be writing a sheet soon. I'll run the character concept by you folks, though I haven't decided where, precisely, the character should be from in this alternate universe.
I was leaning toward that 'Death Knight' concept listed, but with the idea that the Death Knight in question is a person that was unwillingly made into what they are, and has since broken free of their bonds after having been forced to commit great atrocities. So, imagine lots of "I must redeem myself!" and "I will sacrifice my everything for the greater good!" situations, amplified for maximum depression. Would that be an acceptable character concept? (I would make it either a basic fighter-type or a Spellsword.)
Concerning their birthplace... I've been toying with medieval France or somewhere in the Middle East, or maybe Egypt (going with the buried warrior brought back to life idea).

Spoiler
The only position that leaves me with no cognitive dissonance is atheism. It is not a creed. Death is certain, replacing both the siren-song of Paradise and the dread of Hell. Life on this earth, with all its mystery and beauty and pain, is then to be lived far more intensely: we stumble and get up, we are sad, confident, insecure, feel loneliness and joy and love. There is nothing more; but I want nothing more.

I'm curious about Andreas in Chaur's backstory. I"d like to rescue him.
Oops, I didn't post it with the img code [=IMG]http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/vv319/WhitePhoenix77/GodsandMenv1_zps91a6919f.jpg[/IMG]
There, copy that excluding the added equal sign. I have no idea what this character count thing is about though.
Also, I've been debating with myself on the race of my character(s). Would you allow Tieflings or Dragonborn in this game?
Well, he pretty much on Charaun at all times, so you'd either have to go directly through the lich, or wait for Charaun to put the soul gem away for a bit and attempt it then.
Yeah, I'd be cool with either one of those. Just got to write up some racial traits for them. I'm leaning towards putting them both under an advanced race, but in any case you're good.

Character you have created: Antilles
Race/Culture: Human Athenian (Greece)
Racial Traits: None
Character Class: Ranger
Patron Deity: Pays homage to the Greek pantheon, particularly Hermes who's domain is luck
Magic: None
Character Alignment: Good
Character Personality: An easy-going, jovial soul by nature, Antilles is a sharp-witted adventurer with a strong sense of exploration and wonder for the Earth. Antilles' curiosity and reckless courage can sometime get him into trouble, but he fortunately possesses an abundance of charisma which has helped get him out of a few tight spots.
Never shy or afraid to speak his mind, Antilles can rub some the wrong way, but the friends he does make along his travels he defends with his life. He believes in doing the right thing by people whenever he can.
Origin Info/Details:
Antilles grew up to a wealthy family in the heart of Athens. His father, a respected Athenian senator, spared no expense when it came to his schooling, and Antilles was fortunate enough to learn under some of the most respected scholars in the entire Mediterranean, including the great philosopher Plato.
While Antilles devoured all he was taught about the world by his teachers, he thirsted for more. He desperately wanted to see this great world that was outside of Greece, and, in what he considered the first step to doing so, Antilles joined United Greek Army.
From the age of fifteen to twenty, Antilles served his home, Athens, and his native Greece, helping to fend off a handful of barbarian raiders and one major orc invasion. Through it all, Antilles was out to prove that he was more than a Senator's son, and his brash bravery in battle saved the life of his fellow Greeks on more than one occasion (though it did tend to infuriate his commanders).
Though his tendency to ignore orders in combat that he deems "utterly ridiculous" kept him from rising high in the ranks, eventually even General Lysander took notice of his deeds. Antilles was promoted to a Captain and spent the last two years of his service leading a small band of veterans of the orc invasion. Using ambush and guerrilla tactics, Antilles and his men kept the Northern boarders of Greece safe from menace. They were so efficient, they garnered the nickname "Wraiths" for the way they would seemingly appear from and disappear into the thin air as they struck.
Leaving military life at the age of twenty-one, Antilles didn't do what most soldiers did, settle down in the countryside and start a family, living the quiet life. No, Antilles craved adventure. He desired to see the rest of the world, and so began Antilles life as a traveling adventurer and explorer, earning coin in the towns he visits however he can and exploring the world as he goes.
Now twenty-five, Antilles is a veteran of life on the road and has had many adventures along the way. He earned the respect of Apollonius when he helped the archmage retrieve an ancient text that was stolen by agents of the Unseen, a shadowy empire of cutthroats that spans the entire Mediterranean. When exploring old ruins in Briton, Antilles was able to help Sir Galahad and Sir Boars kill the ogremage, Grak the Insane, that had been terrorizing the countryside.
He's been all across the Mediterranean and has shown no signs of slowing down as words of new locations and hidden treasures reach his ears...
Attributes
Strength Level: Peak Human
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Peak Human
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort/Durability: Peak Human
Agility: Normal Human
Intelligence: Genius (Antilles has a potent mix of book smarts and worldly wisdom, gained by years of rigorous study in his youth, followed by his years of military service and adventuring as an adult)
Fighting Skill: Trained (Antilles is a veteran soldier of the United Greek Army, having been trained in Spartan style warfare and is proficient in hand to hand combat as well as with a sword and most simple weapons)
Resources: Minimal to Large (Carrying his belongings with him, Antilles has only what he's able to earn during his travels, which can range from the enough gold and supplies to get by, to living the life extravagant. His family is still a respected house in Athens, and, in the city-state, Antilles has access to most Athens has to offer. During his travels, Antilles has met and befriended quite a number of individuals, and has connections all across the Mediterranean)
Notable Equipment: Elven Chainmail (extremely light and durable armor made of mithril links; a gift given to him by the lord of an elf clan in the Northlands); Masterwork Longsword (a longsword of exquisite smithing that he "liberated" from a renegade knight in Ireland); Longbow (normal longbow of quality make complete with a quiver of thirty iron arrows as well as six silver arrows); Ring of Feather Falling (a ring crafted with a feather pattern that allows the wearer to float as lightly to the ground as a feather if they should fall more than five feet; found by Antilles in an old Roman crypt); Dust of Tracelessness (a magical powder that can conceal Antilles' passage, as well as that of any companions. Tossing a handful of dust in a room can cover 100 square feet of space, causing the effected area to become instantly dusty, dirty, and as though it has been untraveled or unused for nigh a decade. Sprinkling some on one's trail can cause the passage of over a dozen men with horses to disappear up to 250 feet back. The dust leaves no magical aura either, making it impossible for potential pursuers to detect mystical foul play; Antilles was given this pouch of dust by the archmage, Apollonius)
Weaknesses: All the weakness that come with being human, which, I'm depressed to say, are a lot.
Supporting Characters: He'll have many pop up as his story unfolds, but the one constant is Antilles animal companion, Anima, a peregrine falcon.
Describe using proper English grammar what you think you can bring to the RPG: Experience in RPing, both tabletop and in online forums.
Sample Post (Minimum Four decent-sized paragraphs containing dialogue):
Anima screeched as she flew high overhead, and Antilles had to bring his hand up to shield his eyes from the blazing sun to get a good look at the falcon.
Anima screeched once again and Antilles took a deep breath and sighed; she was telling him there was trouble ahead.
Drawing his bow and notching an arrow, Antilles slinked off into the treeline ahead. Moving silently through the underbrush, the sounds of talking began to drift his way on the wind. As he got closer he noticed three different voices, and they were not human.
Moving up to a large oak tree, Antilles hid behind it and peaked out around it's edge into a small glade. And as he looked at the source of the chatter, an expression of shock fell upon his features. In the clearing, sitting on top of an uprooted tree next to a smoldering campfire, was the largest ettin Antilles had ever seen. And, the thing that surprised Antilles was that the massive brute had three heads!
I don't believe this, he thought as he slowly shook his head. The creature kept carrying on the conversation with itself as it ate what appeared to be the cooked remains of a horse. The left head was complaining about how stringy the meat was. The middle head told it to shut up, and that it liked the meat. Said it tasted like jerky.
Then the right head began to sniff the air.
"What is it?"
"I don't know...*sniff sniff*...I smell somethin' funny."
*sniff sniff* "I don't smell nothin'...I think you crazy."
"Shut it! I am not crazy!"
"Shut it! Both of you!"
The left head didn't look at the other two as it spoke. It's eyes went straight ahead, looking intently at a large oak tree at the glade's edge, and at the figure peaking out behind it.
"Shit...well, it was going to happen anyway", Antilles whispered to himself and shrugged his shoulders before stepping out from behind the tree and loosing an arrow, burying it right between the eyes of the left head.
As the left head slumped lifelessly across the beast's shoulder, the other two heads roared in a mixture of pain and rage, reached down and picked up a massive club, and charged.
Antilles put the bow away and drew his sword, his feet shifting into a defensive posture. The ground began to shake as the thundering ettin drew closer.
Antilles lips began to crease in a wry smile, and he suddenly launched himself forward, charging the ettin and meeting the monster head on...

A work in progress, but I'll edit this post and give you a heads up when it's complete...
Character you have created: Diogenes
Race/Culture: Human / Cosmopolitan. Located in Athens at time of the start of the game.
Racial Traits: Those of a human.
Character Class: Philosopher / Mystic
Patron Deity: None, but pays homage to Cybele for providing his shelter – Anatolian mother goddess with ties to mountains, hawks and lions. Recognizes the full Greek Pantheon.
Magic: Divination (Mastery but without the effort to view the future/destiny – or Moderate with immunity to illusion/always able to see/hear/sense the truth in anything), Phantasmal (minor). Possesses a “kinship” with dogs and dog-like creatures (e.g. wolves).
Character Alignment: Neutral
Character Personality: Diogenes is the ultimate agent of anarchy and chaos. He exists to disrupt belief in established order and loathes schemes and schemers both good and evil. He believes that man has complicated the simple gift of the gods with their social practices. Few things please Diogenes as much as showing up Plato and other people who try to form or propagate an established order for the world.
Diogenes is abrupt, confronting, repulsive and frequently insulting. He combines a complete indifference to wealth and possessions with a general disdain for public opinion. In real life Diogenes had been said to walk the streets of Athens with a lantern in broad daylight “searching for an honest man”. His actions led Plato to describe him as “Socrates gone mad”.
Origin Info/Details: WIP
Attributes:
Strength level: Normal Human
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal Human
Endurance at Maximum Effort/Durability: Due to leading a spartan life of minimalism (not to be confused with a Spartan life) Diogenes is sturdy and capable of withstanding great hardship. Peak human.
Agility: Normal Human.
Intelligence: Super Genius, yet eccentric and limited in action by character traits/philosophy.
Fighting Skill: Living a life on the streets, Diogenes is a quality self-trained martial artist in unarmed combat. Trained.
Resources: Minimal. He's a begger.
Notable Equipment: Bugger all. A staff, a lantern, a small clay bowl for eating/drinking from, he lives in a large ceramic jar set in the marketplace which belonged to the Temple of Cybele.
Weaknesses: Besides anti-social tendencies he’s not a particularly powerful character to really have any blatantly obvious weaknesses.

One thing I totally missed was that you didn't pick a school of magic to put your one spell slot in. Being a Spell Sword, you get one slot to put in any school you like (minus necromancy, with you being a good character and all).
Looks good. Personally, I don't think either, as you have them listed, would be an advanced race. Though I imagine both would be fairly rare to encounter in the Material Plane.
Lookin' good! Only thing is you gave him one extra spell slot (you only get four, and to have a Mastery in any school of magic requires using all four slots in said school). You can give him a moderate in each school (Divination and Phantasmal) and then put a minor in some other school of the Art? Or perhaps keep the mastery in Divination and use a couple magical items to make up the effects of the Phantasmal spells you were looking to use?
