Gangster theme??

Ok first off let me start by saying that I have been out of the rp game for quite sometime do I'm trying to get hip to how this site works. So I have an idea and I'm going to pitch it and see if there is anyone to help atleast start a lasting rp or come up with a few idea.

The theme is your typical modern gangster rp, though not exactly determined whether it will streetgangs, orginazed crime or the cartel bit. The king pin of the cities drug market has meet an unfortunate end, leaving the city open for anyone with the balls to take it. Again the gangs vary from whatever the player chooses. Be a boss, begger, pimp, junkie or whatever floats your boat but I would like to keep it as realistic as possible. As stated various roles are open and if there is anyone out there who could help get this thing started then please feel free to help out and also if there are any questions please ask.

Great now again I'm new to this so forum thing so I may need abit of help getting things started. Any particular city?

I propose Tokyo. Other nationalities gangs could have moved there for some sort of drug thing and Tokyo seems ideal because of the closed spaces, the twists and turns, and of course the Triads.

Then again aren't the Japanese gun possession laws relatively strict, which could be inhibiting.

I hate RPGs being based in the US all the time but its the only reasonable place for this. It means that anyone can use pretty much whatever background they want. Whether is Yakuza or the Mob, Mexicans drug cartel or just some urban gang.

To be honest i only said Tokyo because i imagined a badass chase along the rooftops where a lot of jumping would be involved.

But yeah Freud is right, US is the ideal place.
