How do you often picture elves?
Do you see them as a fair people? Nature-loving? Kind? Well, if you answered to yes to any of that, you are dead wrong. The world has died because of their return. Long ago, Snow Elves ruled over all in ancient times, where the cold was bitter and the snow blanketed everything. Now, after thousands of years of slumber, they have returned to reclaim what is theirs. They have already used their foul ice magic to change the climate and turn everything into a winter wasteland. The way they like it. The Snow Elves are cruel and unforgiving, especially to humans. Humans have been enslaved by them, just like in the before times, and while a few freedom fighters still stand, there is little hope. Snow Elves also have a known ability to turn other humans into Snow elves, simply by drinking the blood from them just like vampires. The human-turned snow elves, however, are looked down upon in society, no matter how elegant and pretty their elven cities look. The society is strict, harsh and very hard to live by for those not born and raised in it. Some say what is makes up for in is magically carved ice buildings that are never to melt.
Now, there are, as stated before, freedom fighters. These freedom fighters are humans that seek to protect and liberate other humans. These freedom fighters are small in number, and make little difference most of the time, but there are those rare times when rations are high enough to feed everyone and weapons are found in good condition, and eventually a small snow elf city is taken down. Now we must discover what this aggressive war will hold for the future; Will the humans survive and reclaim their lands, or will they fall and leave the elves to inhabit the new world?

Yes. Yes you can. But keep in mind that elves are magical, and humans are very low on weapons in most cases. You'd have to have a very good reason.

Well that's the idea, it's an underdog story. The thought process I'm certain is to be smarter. More than one trait makes a winner! And I prefer the idea of starting out as one side and then switching to the other side. I like being the center of attention and would probably cause a small amount of drama (By the way what I'm saying over there is describing in part the basic idea I already have for my character, not me personally.) Now it wouldn't be the kind of drama for the sake of killing the story but too help make one. Make sense?
