Welcome to the world of one piece, the greatest treasure left to the world by Gol D. Rogger the famous pirate king. Now is your chance to tell your own story of adventure and excitement in this fantastical world by diving head first into your characters.


Where we come in
Each of you will be taking on the role of one of the crew of the new and upcoming pirate crew, you all have a past and secrets to keep or tell, but most of all you each have a reason to journey together and travel the world beyond the borders of your home islands. You will each be required to fill out a character sheet and pick a position within the crew that your character will take.

The basics of this journey is that we will each take the part of a group of new or old pirates who have joined together on an island in the north blue, that will then head for the grand line in search of the one piece treasure. Our journey will take place roughly 1 year after the war of the best, the straw-hat pirates are missing in action assumed dead (though we know they are training) and the marines are running around trying to regain control of the oceans through force.

There are some rules which I would like to tell everyone now before you go overboard with powers and abilities.
1) no god-modding, you will be able to be hit and even killed if its bad enough, and you will not be able to hit everything you want
2) devil fruits will need to be cleared with me before posting, also note there are only going to be 4 fruit users on the ship (I will be taking one spot)
3) haki is a no until you earn it, or can come up with a damn good reason to have it
4) growth, your characters will not start out being able to k.o. a captain level marine in one hit at first so give yourself some room to grow and develop new techniques
5) if you pick a race other than human know that their innate powers are yours to have, but within limit. E.g. a fish-man can breathe under water but fish-man karate needs training in

Crimson is the type who treasures his friends, or rather, his nakama. He would lay his life on the line for them as he is sure they would do for him. He isn't interested so much in pillaging and killing. He's more interested in the adventure. He enjoys a good brawl so long as it's all in good fun, but knows when to be serious. He knows when to play and when not to.

One thing to know is that he tends not to get angry over trivial things or insults or even if he's beaten on by those he doesn't see as a threat. However, when the people he cares about are harmed or people who can't fight for themselves are treated like dirt by those stronger than them he gets mad. And when he gets mad you better watch yourself. In addition to all of this he is much smarter and more mature than he looks or acts most of the time.

Crimson also hate's cowards who give up without trying and those who have given up on their and all dreams. Other than that there's not much he hates.

Background:

Crimson never knew his father. However, his mother always told him stories. She told him that his father was a pirate and despite this he was a kind man. She also told him that she saw a lot of his father in him. His kindness. His protective attitude when it came to friends and those who were not strong enough to fight for themselves. And above all his will to never give up when the stakes were high. Crimson was always taught to know when to fight and when to back down.

He loved to here stories about his father. He saw him as a hero. A icon of what a true man of the see was. Someone who was free and wasn't afraid to stand up for what he believed in and wasn't afraid to follow his dreams. However, one day he picked up a newspaper for his mother and saw something. He quickly ran home and showed it to his mother. A pirate had been executed. His mother's eyes began to water and soon enough she was crying. That's when he knew this particular pirate was his father. Despite the bad news he went on with the day. Some people who knew his father showed their respect. But one man spoke ill of him.

Crimson couldn't ignore it. He shouted at the man with tears in his eyes. "Your father was nothing, but a money hungry bastard out to find that damned treasure that started this whole era of pirates!" The man shouted back and at that moment Crimson gained a goal. The young boy wiped his tears and glared at the man. "Just you wait!" He said calmly. "One day. I'll find One Piece. I'll become king of the pirates and I'll prove that not all pirates are what you think!" He said confidently. From that day on Crimson grew and learned all with his goal in mind.

Description- The The Ryū-Ryū no Mi has the typical devil fruit pattern. It's shape depends on the base fruit.
Powers- The Ryū-Ryū no Mi gives the user the ability to become a dragon and subsequently breathe fire as well as fly with the use of it's wings. The user may also manipulate the fire in ways such as changing it's shape or it's use. For example, breathing a stream or spitting a condensed ball of fire with more explosive properties. Or coating itself or parts of itself in the flame to add to it's own destructive power.
Weakness- While the user may be immune to the power of it's own flames, it is not immune to explosives or physical harm. In addition all typical Devil Fruit weaknesses do apply.

Where you learnt it- From watching others fight and self teaching.
Equipment needed- Nothing in particular is needed.
Description- Crimson's particular fighting style takes street fighting and merges it with various martial arts moves. While it has no particula pattern of movements or attack he finds it useful as it can change as he adapts to the enemy and situation.
Strength- The good thing about this fighting style is it is extremely interchangeable and doesn't really follow a pattern of movements. The fighter strikes as he/she sees fit and adapts to the situation based on his/her opponent and surrounding.
Weaknesses- The downside is that unlike more disciplined forms of combat the fighter may be more open

Description-
The fruit converts the users body into a machine, with their blood replaced my nano-machines which maintain it. This grants the user a stronger body and the ability to produce machines and constructs from parts of their body by training the nano-machines to build them, in order to do this they must visualise the structure in their mind and order it built by the nano-machines in their blood. The user no-longer needs to breathe or consume food, but must still consume fuel in the form of water every day to maintain their energy supplies; the consumption of different fuels will result in lower energy levels.

Alex has modified his own body slightly to introduce power limiters within it, this means that he can maintain a normal life without mentally restricting his powers all the time, it also means that when entering combat he must lift these limiters allowing access to greater energy levels and strength; currently there are 5 levels of limiters, normal, 20% combat, 50% combat, 80% combat, 100% combat, 200% overdrive.

This power level allows Alex to order the machines to build physical constructs, basic solid metal things such as weapons and tools. Some constructs include

Background: Lex was raised in a small fishing village by the sea, he used to go out fishing with his parents and he loved the sea and always dreamed of spending his life sailing around and having adventures. Unfortunately those dreams were shattered at a young age when a huge, almost unnatural, tidal wave obliterated the village, only Lex and a handful of others survived.

He was rescued by the navy and taken to join a junior navy academy where he learned to basics of maritime practise and became an excellent map reader. When he reached the age of 15 he was locked out of the academy because the government refused to pay his tuition and so Lex was forced onto the streets, fortunately he was taken in by a group of pickpockets and thieves who taught him to free run and climbing skills as well as how to use a knife in a fight.

Mambo considers everything in life to be a game of some kind, and he's always happy to play. Although sometimes his cheerful personality can be annoying, you couldn't ask for a better friend, but you probably could ask for a better fighter, maybe one with devil fruit powers. It doesn't bother him if he's seen as a lesser pirate because of it. Because without him, they wouldn't have nice, warm meals in their stomachs... Would they?

Background:

Mambo grew up on a ship, believe it or not. Sailing North Blue with a small group of people including his mother, which is probably good because he wouldn't of ever taken up cooking if it wasn't for her. He learned overtime how to make many seafood dishes, there was nothing else for him to do on the ship except for prance around and try to help others with their duties. Sometimes you would see him dancing while he was at work, his mother had always told him that his father was a strange man, who was obsessed with dancing. He went by the name of Softstep Mambo, it was only in his teen years at his mother's deathbed(Due to age) did he finally learn that his father was a pirate captain, it made him curious. Pirates... It sounded kind of fun, although the crew he was with didn't want to exactly just become pirates. So he left, and after a bit of travelling he found a crew, they seemed to be a likable bunch, and they needed a cook, and maybe even a bit of an entertainer. At the present time he's boarding the ship with his crew, preparing to make they're way to the Grand Line.

Personality: Light is a carefree, fun loving, intelligent person. She values freedom above all else and will become extremely hostile to anyone who tries to restrict her freedom or the freedom of others. She also has a lesser view of balance, or the continued fight between good and evil. She has a deep understanding of why people do the things they do and how the world works, and can adapt to new situations fairly quickly, though shes not very good at leading and prefers to make decisions for herself. When fighting others, Light tries not to rely on the abilities that her logia form gives her, and prefers if attacks actually connect with her instead of usig her logia powers to avoid it. She does make exceptions to moves such as slashing and stabbing, but for hand to hand combat moves, she tries to keep the playing field equal level.

Description- Light's body is made out of Earth, allowing her to control her body much like any other logia, while having the power of the earth.

Powers-
Mineral manipulation: Light can manipulate the minerals around her and in her body, allowing herself to become coated in metal such as iron, gold, and the like.
Carbon manipulation: Light can change the density of the carbon in her body, making body parts as hard as diamond. This is usually used on her hands.
Mirror Shield: Light can produce a shield of silver from her arm that has the reflectivity of a mirror. This allows her to deflect energy based attacks.
Resistance: Due to her earth body, Light is highly resistant to electricity, poison, and disease.

Weakness- Shockwaves can break her body up fairly easily, and the more wet she is, the more impact damage can be dealt to her and it takes her longer to reform. Though she usually doesn't use her Logia powers unless absolutely necessary.

raised aboard a marine ship by her parents Amilia was taught from a young age that peace and order are all that matter, they raised her in the marine core; training her in their skills and fighting techniques from 8 years of age. So it was natural for her to join the marines when she turned 16, this led to her first assignment on the ishimura a north blue pirate hunter; and it was one one of her first missions aboard this ship that she came across the doll doll fruit which was given to her for taking down the captain. It was nearly a year after that when she was promoted and given an assignment on an island base, the crime rates there plummeted due to her powers; once more earning a promotion after 3 years. That promotion lead her to take a position in the north blue’s marine base, this assignment lasted 5 years before being transferred to the island of Alvion; and here she has stayed keeping crime to a minimum with her powers and iron will

Description- the power of this fruit is in that it can bring anything the user touches to life for a brief period of time by putting part of their soul in it. This enable the user to bring dolls to life or create golems from everyday materials, these ‘dolls’ are under the control of the user and will do anything they wish within their limits; the materials in the dolls are able to change their shape after infusion to suit the users wishes. When the ‘dolls’ are released their memory returns to the user.

The power of this fruit can be used on people, but if their will is strong enough they are able to resist or even repel the power. If someone comes under the control of the power their actions will be bent to fulfil the users wishes without causing death to the victim; this control will also last for only a few minutes.

Personality: Jake was raised to believe that you must earn everything you want, this has led him to develop a very ‘driven’ personality, he trains for hours to gain control over his DF though is still new to its powers. He has a habit of ‘butting heads’ with those he sees as lazy.

Background:

Jake was born on a small island in the south blue, his home village was not much to look at or even mention as its only income was from the small fishing harbour it had. He spent much of his youth living with his family, made up of his brother and father; his mother passed away shortly after his birth. His years with his father and brother taught Jake many things from simple survival techniques to sword play, though his skills in all this was nothing to write home about, along with the art of fishing along with the rest of the village. One year around Jake’s 15th birthday his brother and father fell ill with a cold which would kill him and many others in the village, the sight of this caused Jake to fear for his own life and he ran away from home. He left his home with only a small dagger and his bag full of cloths, having never left the village before Jake new very little of the world beyond its borders; though this did not stop him from leaving.

Jake spent the next few years wandering around the island going from one small village to the next, as he travelled he heard stories of great adventure beyond the borders of his island home on the great oceans. One day near his 21st birthday he approached a man he was told was the captain of a merchant ship, he asked them if he could board their ship as an extra hand aboard; the man agreed and Jake went out to sea. He never returned to his home island or village.

Years later after traveling aboard the merchant ship they docked on an island near the mouth of the grand, it was here that he gained his Devil fruit; the man that sold it to him said that it was a simple exotic fruit found on the far side of the world, little did he know that it was in fact a Devil Fruit and the man was aiming to curse an innocent man with a near uncontrollable Devil Power. But Jake took the fruit and ate it, his first transformation was that night and resulted in him destroying a large portion of the town; though he had no memory of it afterwards.

The day afterwards he left on the ship with his captain and crew, by the time that Jake had learnt what had happened and was trying to learn what was happening to him they were close to a week from the island. About a month later on a calm night they were attacked by a crew of pirates seeking to ‘redistribute’ the merchant’s wealth, Jake along with the rest of the crew tried to defend the ship and its cargo; though they failed in the end. Heavily wounded Jake decided that he would live a life as a pirate if only to live a life at all, so he scrambled over the edge of the railing between the two ships and hide on the pirate’s ship. After a couple days of hiding Jake revealed himself to the crew and asked to join.

Description- This devil fruit offers the use the ability to transform into a demonic form (see image), this form grants access to several new powers due to its nature, the least of which is fire breath, flight, and a tail. After training for a year he is now able to summon ‘parts’ of the full form, though he has limited success when attempting to bring out the full form apart from under distress.

-infernal shift: the user transform part or the whole of their body into that of the demon, this transformation grants increase abilities and some special powers based of each area changed.
-infernal conversion: the user is able to channel their demonic powers into a weapon which they carry, granting it increased strength and even changing the way it looks
Hell fire cannon- infusion of demonic energies into his pistol turns it into a mini cannon which fire fireballs rather than standard bullets
Hell fire blade- infusion of demonic energies into his sword turns its blade black with a glowing red edge, its slashes burns the victim’s body and soul
Hell fire meteor- infusion of demonic energies into an everyday stone in his hands, which is then transformed into ‘brimstone’ and thrown at the enemy causing destruction wherever it hits

It sounded kind of fun, although the crew he was with didn't want to exactly just become pirates. So he left, and after a bit of travelling he found a crew, they seemed to be a likable bunch, and they needed a cook, and maybe even a bit of an entertainer. At the present time he's boarding the ship with the crew, preparing to make they're way to the Grand Line.

Personality: Light is a carefree, fun loving, intelligent person. She values freedom above all else and will become extremely hostile to anyone who tries to restrict her freedom or the freedom of others. She also has a lesser view of balance, or the continued fight between good and evil. She has a deep understanding of why people do the things they do and how the world works, and can adapt to new situations fairly quickly, though shes not very good at leading and prefers to make decisions for herself. When fighting others, Light tries not to rely on the abilities that her logia form gives her, and prefers if attacks actually connect with her instead of usig her logia powers to avoid it. She does make exceptions to moves such as slashing and stabbing, but for hand to hand combat moves, she tries to keep the playing field equal level.

Description- Light's body is made out of Earth, allowing her to control her body much like any other logia, while having the power of the earth.

Powers-
Mineral manipulation: Light can manipulate the minerals around her and in her body, allowing herself to become coated in metal such as iron, gold, and the like.

Carbon manipulation: Light can change the density of the carbon in her body, making body parts as hard as diamond. This is usually used on her hands.

Mirror Shield: Light can produce a shield of silver from her arm that has the reflectivity of a mirror. This allows her to deflect energy based attacks.

Resistance: Due to her earth body, Light is highly resistant to electricity, poison, and disease.

Weakness- Shockwaves can break her body up fairly easily, and the more wet she is, the more impact damage she can take(But still immune to slash and stab damage). Though she usually doesn't use her Logia powers unless absolutely necessary.

Background: Lex was raised in a small fishing village by the sea, he used to go out fishing with his parents and he loved the sea and always dreamed of spending his life sailing around and having adventures. Unfortunately those dreams were shattered at a young age when a huge, almost unnatural, tidal wave obliterated the village, only Lex and a handful of others survived.

He was rescued by the navy and taken to join a junior navy academy where he learned to basics of maritime practise and became an excellent map reader. When he reached the age of 15 he was locked out of the academy because the government refused to pay his tuition and so Lex was forced onto the streets, fortunately he was taken in by a group of pickpockets and thieves who taught him to free run and climbing skills as well as how to use a knife in a fight.
