Once more into the fray..
Captain America: The S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent(Jones Sparrow and Tiger Lily)IC
"I'm gonna need a rain check on that dance."
"All right. A week next Saturday at The Stork Club."
"You've got it."
"Eight o'clock on the dot. Don't you dare be late. Understood?"
"You know, I still don't know how to dance."
"I'll show you how. Just be there."
" We'll have the band play something slow."
"I'd hate to step on your... "
That was the last thing Steve Rogers remembered before waking up to this new world. A foreign world that he almost died protecting seventy years ago... Yet he was here... Steve Rogers was in the S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ gym as usual. When he wasn't sleeping or going on missions he was here. punching this punching bag, and thinking. As he hit more and more the bag began to break with each hit. Steve's blond hair was neatly done, like a soldier. His large muscles were tense as he pretended to fight the bag guy that was the punching bag. He wore a white t-shirt with some cargo pants and boots. He was a spitting image of a military man. As he kept punching he kept thinking about not only the past, but the present... S.H.I.E.L.D.... All these other heroes... how different his world and this one was...
He wanted to go back. He wants so badly to be at The Stork Club that Saturday.... But he wasn't. He was here, and he had to be. He had a job to do here.
"Captain." S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Smith walked in to the gym. Steve stopped and looked up. "Sir." Rogers said. Smith gave a smile. "Its just Bill, Captain Rogers... Fury wants to speak with you." He said. Steve nodded, looking at the debris of punching bags on the floor. "Sorry..." Steve said awkwardly with a small smile. "its fine. We stocked up since last time." Bill Smith said.
Steve nodded, and walked out of the gym, and to the elevator to go the Nick Fury's office.

"Calm down, Sharon. It's just Captain America." The agent sighed softly as she smoothed down a few of her frizzy strands of wavy brown hair, shaking her head at how nervous she was feeling about this whole situation. She had worked with other superheros before, so what made Steve Rogers any different? She knew what made him different, who was she kidding? She knew that she was a relative of his old love life. She knew that this whole situation was going to turn into something very awkward and uncomfortable. But it had to be done. The world needed saving and well, that's what she was here for after all, along with all the other agents and heros. She cleared her throat and nodded to the bright eyed girl staring back at her in the restroom mirror, smoothing down the the black lycra-spandex catsuit she had on as she reminded herself to keep calm. After all, he didn't even know who she was, for all she knew, Fury had just introduced her as Agent 13. Hopefully he did just that.
She released one more drawn out breath before exiting the restroom and making her way down the corridor, her black high heeled boots sounding out against the concrete floor as she made her way towards Fury's office. She saw a few other agents as she drew nearer to the office, giving them a polite nod and a small smile as she acknowledged each other them. She couldn't help but roll her blue eyes as she saw two female agents giggling at her, no doubt about the fact that she was about to start an assignment with the Captain -- who was quite the hunk, and could feel a small smile creeping across her lips, even though she was trying to maintain serious about the all of this. Yes, he was attractive, but he was in love with her aunt, so she knew he was off limits. She finally made her way into Fury's office and gave him a small nod before greeting him, and anyone else in the office. "Afternoon." She didn't dare move her eyes off of Fury as she took a seat across his desk, crossing her legs as she rested herself against the back of the chair, placing her arms on the fancy wooden arms of the chair.

Once more into the fray..
Steve exited the elevator, stepping out and looking around before walking down the large hallway to Nick Fury's office. He noticed the guards standing outside it, some still gawking that he was real..... Apparently he became for famous while he was away... He knocked on the door firmly before stepping into the office.
----
"Miss Carter. I'm glad you made it." Nick Fury said with a small smile as she sat down. He leaned forward at his desk. They were the only two in the office besides a couple of body guards in the corners of the room. "Captain Rogers should be here any second now..." He said, inspecting her with his one eye. He knew he was giving off a hint of a smile as he stared. He could have chosen any other agent to assist Rogers on this case, but he chose her for a certain reason. To make Rogers comfortable... well, he will eventually will. She was related to the late Peggy Carter, a woman who helped Rogers in WWII. This would be a connection. something familiar... and he wasn't in control of what would happen afterwards...
He heard the knock on the door. Rogers always was a gentleman. When he stepped in Fury gave a smile. "Captain."
---
Steve Rogers stood straight and saluted real quick before answering. He had a habit of that... "Sir." Rogers said, then turned his attention to the woman sitting in the chair. He knew he was on a new mission. Who and what the mission was about was still a mystery. "Have a seat." Fury said indicating the one next to Sharon. He sat down hesitantly, trying to get comfortable. He wasn't known for his charm with women. It took him a while to actually have a friend-like conversation with Black Widow. "Steve Rogers, this is Agent 13..." Fury said, not knowing if he should say who exactly she was. "Agent 13, Captain America." He said, leaning back, waiting for them to get acquainted before they started.
Steve glanced over at the woman named Agent 13. He gave a smile and a nod. "Miss." He said politely, inspecting her face.... She looked familiar... A sense of happiness and comfort in her eyes and just her appearance... He noticed he was staring a bit too long. He shifted his gaze, coughing a bit, which made Fury chuckle a bit.

"Miss Carter. I'm glad you made it."
Sharon gave the man a small smile and a nod before shifting in her seat slightly, resisting the urge to frown nervously as she heard him mention that Rogers would be arriving soon. Would he be able to tell? Surely he wouldn't. She cleared her throat and ran a hand through her wavy brown hair as she fought the urge to fidget, lifting a perfectly arched eyebrow in amusement as she saw Fury staring at her, as if he were in on some big secret or something. She knew Rogers would be in for quite a surprise, that was for sure. She couldn't help but feel sympathetic of Rogers. She had no idea what it was like to lose the love of your life and then be stuck with a relative of theirs for what was promised to be quite a few assignments. She took a deep breath as she heard the knock on the door and instantly shifted her attention to the floor, not even breathing once as she heard the soldier greet Fury.
She stole a glance at the Captain as he took a seat besides her, her blue eyes growing wide in surprise, despite already being prepared for this weeks ago. It was really him. Just the thought of being in the same room with someone like Rogers was unreal. She heard Fury introduce them and couldn't help but sigh softly in relief, ecstatic that he hadn't used her real name in the introduction between the two. She slowly looked over to the Captain and nearly swooned as she saw his smile, giving him a soft nod before murmuring, "Nice to meet you Captain. It's an honor." She quickly fell quiet as she saw him staring at her face, blinking her eyes a few times and glancing at the floor before meeting his gaze just for a millisecond. She quickly cleared her throat, almost at the same time as he had began coughing, and looked away towards Fury, narrowing her eyes as she heard the one eyed man chuckle at the two.

Once more into the fray..
"Please, call me Steve." He said with a smile, forcing himself to look at her as he said it. Steve was many things, but conceited was definitely not one of them. He didn't do what he did for fame. He did it to make a difference. Even though he saved the word a time or two, he's still the kid from Brooklyn. Nick Fury then coughed, looking at the two to see if they were done. "I didn't call you here for some friendship time, sadly. We have urgent news." And with that the windows dimmed themselves out, turning into large television screens. This, of course, absolutely stunned Rogers. Sure he's seen a magic cube, a man with a red skull, and was turned into a super soldier, but this was beyond the limits of what he thought possible.
The screen showed a map of Europe. "Seventy years ago we started a organization designed to make sure HYDRA was completely stomped out after... well..." He trailed off, all of them knowing what the incident was. "In lead was Miss Margaret Carter." Steve tensed at the name, staring at the picture of Peggy coming up on the screen. "She found all the bases and made sure they were disposed of and eliminated.... except one." The map zoomed in to Austria, a red dot towards the northern part of it
"We discovered an old HYDRA Base recently, with Miss Carter's research." Steve immediately leaned forward, completely focused on the task. "We believe that this was Shmidt's backup base if his first one was compromised." He then looked at Steve, knowing that he did. "We aren't sure whats in there, but once we started trying, some of our men went missing."
"So you're saying that there are still HYDRA soldiers out there?" Steve asked, a number of scenarios going through his mind. "We aren't sure... We do know that we aren't getting a good welcome party. That's where you two come in. Captain, you have dealt with HYDRA before. You'll know how to handle them more than anyone in S.H.I.E.L.D.... Agent 13, you have your own connections to this little deal, you will be able to fill in the blanks over the years that Captain Rogers was gone... And you are more... advanced." Nick glanced at Steve. "No offense."
"When do we begin?" Steve asked, full of interest and a sense of responsibility for this. He was going to solve this problem no matter what the costs.

Sharon heard his humble response and merely nodded at him as she gave him a soft smile, her cheeks flushing slightly as she heard Fury cough, clearing her throat before shifting her attention back to him. She had almost forgotten that he was in the room with she and the Captain. She couldn't help but linger on Rogers' humbleness as Fury began to speak, not finding it that hard to see why her aunt Peggy had fallen in love with such a man as the Captain. If she didn't be careful, she too would taking a liking to him, which would never work out for the best. She glanced over towards Rogers again as the windows dimmed and the screens appeared, fully accustomed to this nowadays, unlike Rogers, a small playing across her lips as she saw how stunned Rogers looked at this.
She listened intently as Fury began to explain the case, her eyes quickly darting to Rogers as her aunt's name was mentioned, shifting uncomfortably in her chair as she saw how tense his jaw had gotten. She could almost see the sadness in his eyes as they showed her beautiful Aunt Peggy on the screen, her eyes stinging slightly as she looked away and forced herself to look at the screen. This was going to be much harder than she had imagined, especially if he found out who she was. Sharon didn't question anything as Fury spoke, allowing Captain to take charge and analyze the situation. She had her own method of handling things, but she didn't want to cross Rogers, especially since this was the first time that they would be working together.
She merely nodded at Fury as he spoke to her again, her eyes growing wide as she heard him mention that she was more advanced, silently hoping that a statement like this wouldn't offend Rogers. Some of her other partners who had been told something similar to this, well, they didn't handle it to well. She highly doubted that Rogers would be offended though, especially since he had so much to bring to the case with HYDRA involved. She couldn't help but smile as she heard him ask when would they begin, an eyebrow lifting in surprise at how quick he was to accept a mission as dangerous as this. "Yes, when shall we begin?"

Once more into the fray..
Nick Fury smiled at both of their responses. "We have a direct flight to the HYDRA base in an hour. Enough time to collect equipment and items."
"Will there be files on the places Peg--" Steve hesitated. "Miss Carter... uncovered over her years? And the recent attacks?" Steve asked. He didn't know if Agent 13 was determined to lead this mission... Since it was their first one together, he'll take more of a partnership route... Although he was used to leading squads of soldiers and superheroes around...
"There will be direct access to those cases to you on the plane.... You can catch up on what you missed." Fury said, waving them away. "Dismissed."
Steve didn't get up until Agent 13 did out of gentlemenship, but when she did He gave Fury a quick salute out of habit, then turned to Agent 13. "I will see you on the plane soon..." Rogers said, kicking himself in his head at how lame that sounded... He left the office to go to his own personal room. Inside it was decorated with things that felt like home. Some 40's posters, military lockers and barracks, pictures of famous objects way back when, baseball bats, cards, and his old Captain America helmet... In the center of the room was the clear glass container full of his armor, gun, and his old shield.
He didn't know how long this would take, but he didn't think he would need that much.... right? He took out a rucksack, filled it with regular clothes, then suited himself up in his uniform.
--
Minutes later Captain America exited the elevator at the top floor of the S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ. On top was a high tech jet able to take off in position... yet another thing that fascinated Steve. He climbed into the cabin, thanking people who took his bags and welcomed him on board, some still gawking at him. He wore all his armor except his helmet, his blond hair still neat as he took a seat near the large manila folders containing file reports of Peggy's work...
"You have no idea how to talk to a woman, do you?"
"I think this is the longest conversation I've had with one. Women aren't exactly lining up to dance with a guy they might step on."
He hesitated to open the folders.... It killed him to know that he left Peggy alone to finish off a mess he made, and how he didn't help... He took the folder, opening it. His dark blue eyes scanning the papers.
