Either sounds pretty good to me. I think the family one could be more comical than the friends, though.
So I've been thinking about characters, and of course characters are subjective depending on who is playing them. However, I've got some basic ideas in mind of their roles.
-
If a family:
Father - Could either be overbearing and incredibly strict, or laid back and carefree, possibly absent depending on whether or not we use him, lots of different possibilites for this character
Mother - I think a very stereotypical "mom" role would be a lot of fun, very caring and a firm believer in dicipline
Teenage/adult Daughter - Willful and freethinking, lots of different possibilities for this character
Daughter's boyfriend - Lots of conflict possibilities with the father and/or mother
Teenager - Be creative
Younger child - Curious and probably mischeivous, maybe reads a lot of comic books (could possibly be twins)
Friend of the family - A lot of us probably know what it's like to have that one friend who is basically adopted into your family, could also be a cousin or other relative, lots of possibilities for this character as well
-
If a group of friends:
A character who is a leader, or else the one whom others look to as leader, even if they do not see themselves as a leader
A character who is loud and energetic and often annoying
A character who is quiet and reserved but very intelligent
A couple who kind of annoy everyone else because they're so lovey dovey when together
A tagalong who wants to be "in" the group
A character suffering from depression
-
If you think of any others go ahead and post 'em. These are just rough ideas that we can build off of.

Leaning a bit towards the family myself. We'll see when the others pick though![]()
By the ever talented Lillian Thorne!
Yah I thought family could be a lot of fun, I'm also leaning toward that.
Family sounds fine to me as well.
Dibs on being the pessimistic, overbearing Dad.
