"Your Honor I would like to bring up Bridget Reynolds to the stand."

A young and attractive blonde walked up to the witness stand. She sat down after saying her oaths, and waited for the questions to come. Raymond Chase walked up onto the floor. He wore a charcoal suit and a blue tie. His brown hair was messy, yet looked perfect. His five o'clock shadow and striking eyes completed the look of "Sure he was young, but he knew what he was doing."

His case was about a man suing a local company for damaging his car. He stated that their advertisement was too distracting to have on the road. Raymond was here to help this man. He gave Miss Reynolds a smile before starting. "Miss Reynolds, what is your job?" He asked.

"I am a model hired by the Mattress King company." She said calmly.

"Oh believe me, I know... Miss Reynolds, Why do you think you were hired to dance around in your underwear and crawl on their mattresses?"

"Well I think its to... gain attention... I guess." She said.

"Can you please explain to the jury what exactly you did in this commercial?" Chase asked.

"Well I--"

"Don't tell us... show us." He gave a wink and smile, turning as Miss Reynolds started talking off her blouse, revealing her bra, talking what and how she did it. The whole crowd gasped and murmured as she did, which lead the Judge to kick Bridget Reynolds out. "Mr. Chase, one more stunt like that, and you wont be in this court again... I mean in this time!"

"I'm sorry, Your Honor... Now, ladies and gentlemen, as I was saying..." He trailed off, snapping his fingers, his face completely lost in thought. "I completely lost my train of thought..." he turned to the Stenographer. "Can you please tell me what I said right before Miss Reynolds started... you know."

"I'm sorry... I can't..." The woman said rather embarrassed.

Raymond raised his eyebrows. "And why's that?"

"I was too distracted watching Miss Reynolds..." She answered quietly, face red. That made the Jury start talking.

"Your honor, if this this stunt stopped a government official to be distracted and not do her job, how do you expect a horny man to drive a car with the same thing right next to the street?" He asked, giving a small nod and walking back down to his seat.

Raymond Chase won the case. Although this was by no means professional, he never was. He always did his cases in outrageous stunts, which made his reputation high, yet not much people took him seriously. "Thank you so much, Mr. Chase!" the man he helped said with a huge smile on his face.

"It was my pleasure, Sir... If you get in any more trouble, Just let me know." He gave a smile and handed him his business card. He buttoned his lower buttons on his suit as he walked out of the court house, climbing into his car and driving back to the firm he was hired at. Although he was against going to a major firm, they paid him well, and said that they wouldn't tell him how to be an attorney. He decided who he was to help, and how he would help him or her. He was content about that, so he thought as long as this firm wasn't connected with his father's he was fine.

Stephanie walked into the courthouse. It was a divorce court. Hmm, bitter sweet. These were the cases that she was often lumbered with. A cheating father to two beautiful twin girls, 6 months old wanting to leave his wife for his new lover. Now, she was on the wife's defence so she could pretty much run that man to the ground. Amazing, this was easy for her as she didn't take kindly to men since what happened with her ex.

"Do you believe that this man could seriously stand there and say that this woman is not owed due money for everything that he put her through? Whilst she laboured two little girls into the world was this man not absent and sleeping with his secretary?"
The man defending the man took a stand trying to defend his behaviour but in an unbelieavable way.
"Did you mark cables sleep with ms marker on the night that your wife was delivering twins?" Steph asked the man.

After using the children and the innocent woman as her reasoning steph managed to win that legal suite. Great, success. This was a new law firm and therefore a victory was the best thing that could happen. She could go home happy knowing that that was another man having to pay for his wrong doings.

Raymond got to his firm. He was a man who always seemed to work. Maybe it was to get his mind off the only girl he really loved... His dad was the reason for their split up, his career, and his hatred for tycoons.

"Hey, Ray. Heard you won your case. Congrats!" Someone said. Raymond gave him a smile. "Thanks. Party at my place tonight! Margarita Monday tonight." To get his mind off his lost ones, he throws a party every Monday Wednesday and Friday. He walked into his office, sitting down at his desk as he looked through his agenda to see what other clients he had to meet with.

Stephanie walked back to the office when she had finished her job. She had left her belongings by her new desk. She walked in and saw a couple of guys and girls gathered around a table with another guy. Oh, so popularity was an issue in this office. Great, she wouldn't compete though, no way. She walked over to her desk and put on her coat, it was a soft white coat and smart looking. After her coat was on she slung her handbag on her shoulder.
She looked around the office. God, it seemed so hectic in her but there was an edge of unfriendliness in the room, she just couldn't put her finger on the reason for that edge.
"Oh my god Raymond I can't wait for a party at your place. Maybe this time though you can you know with me without thinking about your ex girlfriend." A brunette girl said before laughing loudly.
Steph bit her lip, Raymond... She had never heard of Raymond before except for her ex boyfriend but there was no way that it possibly could be that Raymond. He had ran off almost without a glance, leaving Ella to be fatherless. Steph looked across the room trying to identify the guy who was supposedly called Raymond.

"Raymond!" A girl screamed as he walked out of his office. He rolled his eyes and turned to face the girl with a smile. "Hey." Raymond said, looking around. She immediately brought up the party, and frowned slightly when she mentioned his ex. His party consisted of anyone who sees the party at his place can walk in and have a drink, flirt, and enjoy the pool and hot tub. No invitations, or rules except clean up your mess. This was his way of coping with his mistake of running away from his girlfriend, the only one he loved.

Raymond listened to the others talking about it as he looked around the room and froze. A beautiful blonde he hasn't seen before in the office was looking around. His thoughts immediately went to his ex. After a few seconds of staring he was brought back to reality. "Ray?" The girl asked.

"What should we bring?" She asked again.

"Swimsuits, and ingredients to make margaritas." He said through a blocked throat.

Steph stared at him. No, that couldn't be the Raymond that she thought it was. It couldn't be, possibly. That was impossible. Even though she thought that that was impossible, she felt like she had seen a ghost. He looked like Raymond only an older version. She could see the things that Ella had gotten from him. Oh god, it was Raymond.
Stephanie shut down the computer from her desk and walked towards the door to leave and go to collect Ella. Hopefully she'd be early for Ella. She hated leaving Ella at the daycare.
Just as steph was about to leave the office, her boss approached her. Her boss was a tall brunette woman who had been talking to Raymond about the party.
"Stephanie, I must say your case today was more than we are looking for here. Welcome aboard our team. You really are one of the team. Now, can you make a party tonight darling?"
Stephanie shook her head "my daughter Ella, she's 4 years old. I couldn't possibly leave her by herself and I'm a single mother."
Tiffany nodded "I'm a single mother too but you can hire a babysitter should you choose to come.. Let me get that number for you." She said before walking across the room towards her handbag where she had a card for a babysitting number. She walked back over and handed it to steph. "Here, they're a wonderful company. I'm sure you'll find them useful."
"Thanks, ill consider it when I collect her depending on how she is." Steph said.
Tiffany smiled before shouting "Raymond darling, come and talk to this lovely girl, your new co-worker, about the party." Tiffany said before walking away.

Not once has he ever been so nervous before... Well, except for the time his father introduced him with Stephanie's family. He coughed a bit, loosening his tie a bit and walking towards Stephanie. "Hello... Raymond Chase..." He said, staring at her as if she was a dream.

Stephanie stared at him and she felt as if her jaw had just hit the floor as he told her who he was. "Uh.. Hi.. I'm Stephanie carter..." She said before handing her hand out to him to shake it, the way that she did with strangers. She wasn't sure whether or not the guy that was standing there was actually Raymond or just someone with the same name.

Ray stared at her a few seconds before responding, "Stephanie Carter... Beautiful name.. I'm sorry, I have the strangest feeling I know you..." He said, wondering if it really was the woman he left because of his rage and father.

Stephanie nodded "I was thinking the exact same thing about you.. I swear I recognise you." She said. She now knew he was but she wanted to test him to see if he remembered her the way that she remembered him. The memories flooded through her mind though as she was speaking to him. Even memories that she had tried to push to the back of her mind, like when she found out he was gone without a trace.
