Superman had rarely been seen since he confessed to being Clark Kent. Some had simply presumed he had left Earth entirely but this was not the case. Kal-El sat alone in his Fortress of Solitude, he knew many of his allies had disappeared after the registration act had been put in place, mainly Bruce Wayne, The Batman, one of Clark's closest friends had now seemed to vanish. Clark strolled through his trophy room reminiscing about all the opponents the league had faced, Brainiac, Starro, Lex Luthor. But those times were gone and now many of those he once fought alongside are now outlaws. Clark had kept in touch with Barry, when someone is so fast they can be anywhere at anytime you tend to run into them a bit. Clark new Barry was going to reveal his identity today and tuned in on one of the monitors in the fortress. He watched all the preamble and the thanks that Barry modestly brushed away and then there was the moment of truth. Clark watched intently as Barry removed his mask and then... No! It can't be Barry lay dead a bullet embedded in his skull. Clark stood there for a moment mouth agape before shouting in rage. Why Barry, why now! Clark burst out of the roof of the fortress and began flying headed straight for Metropolis, it was time The Man of Steel returned.
