    Steam Recommendations

I'm looking for some free games to get off of Steam, I know they won't be omg the best games eva but I just need something light to pass the time and I'd prefer to not pay for them. There's plenty of games I know I'll end up buying, so help me out with some freebie recommendations?

I like medieval, tactics, rpg, fantasy type stuff.

My friend says Crusader Kings 2 is awesome, plus there's an A Song of Ice and Fire mod for it! Aparently the mod team had been trying to make Hodor the King! S

Try the demos. I have downloaded several of those and played the crap out of them. Some I liked so much, I bought them.

Medieval II: Total War and if you want fantasy check our some of the mods.

Mount and Blade Warband is borderline free much of the time and has a lot of good mods which add some fantasy while already involving open world medieval combat and a learning curve you need a sherpa for.

“Enemies of the Imperium, hear me. You have come here to die. The Immortal Emperor is with us and we are invincible. His soldiers will strike you down. His war machines will crush you under their treads. His mighty guns will bring the very sky crashing down upon you. You cannot win. The Emperor has given us his greatest weapon to wield. So make yourselves ready. We are the Imperial Guard, and your doom is upon you. "

Monies! But Hodor the King does sound so very very tempting.

I actually have MTW2 already, and bought Rome most recently. I've heard a lot about Mount and Blade, I may have to finally give that shot once I see what borderline free is.

    Thanks all.

As a CK2 player, I can confirm that the ASOIAF Mod does exist.
    And CK2 is indeed awesome.

Majesty 1 & 2 are pretty fun. The twist is you don't really play the part of the heroes, but rather you the play the part of the town hiring and creating missions for them. I've sucked quite a bit of hours into that game simply because of this different mechanic.
