Name: Claire Gantley
Appearance: Claire stands at a shorter 5'4", with a slim yet solid frame. She has pale skin and long, bright red hair, and light brown eyes. The attire she has spent most of her time since the viral apocalypse has been comfortable clothing (sweatshirts, jeans, comfortable sneakers), whether it's pieces she was wearing when she escaped or pieces she's had to scavenge since. She has two piercings in each ear, and the words "Strength and Peace" tattooed in cursive on her shoulder.
Age: 19
Personality: Claire has had a hard time adjusting to the new "lifestyle" of being one of the uninfected. While she isn't a leader by nature, she will do what's necessary for survival. She doesn't take shit from anyone when things get rough. The stress is taking its toll on her, and she has become more emotionally withdrawn and cold - although tears will come if no one is around to see them. Friends are no longer a necessity; for all she knows, her friends have long since been claimed by the virus. Now, she does her best with getting from day to day. If someone is of use to her, she will trust them for as long as necessary - and will leave a person for dead if they break that trust.
Short bio: Claire grew up with her biological parents in Seattle, Washington, along with her older brother by three years, Kyle. Her mother died when Claire was 15, luckily long before the virus spread. Her father, an electrician, did a good job with continuing to care for both her and Kyle and moved them to a large suburb just outside of London, and soon after her brother left for college in Wales. A few years later, Claire was soon to leave for college herself, on a basketball scholarship she'd earned through being one of the top defensive players on her high school team. When the virus broke out, Claire's father was one of the earlier victims, as were some of her friends and acquaintances at school. Claire stayed with her friend Leah for a while closer to the city, until things started to go downhill and the deceased began ravaging large populations. Leah was killed in a car accident when the two tried to get out of the city, and Claire has since been largely on her own. She still doesn't know the fate of her brother.
