Okay. Here's just kind of an "about me" as Im hoping I can meet some good people and get into some fun games. So my qualifications, interests, requirements, that kind of thing. So here we go.
What I bring to the table:
I'm male. I prefer to play males. I've played some females, but I'm not the best at it. I've been RPing for several years, and enjoy writing and reading, and using detail and non-essential information to flesh out the story world. I RP as a hobby more than anything else though, and I prefer to play between High Casual to Low Advanced levels. I may not be able to post at a very fast rate due to my having a lot else going on, but I will most likely be able to get in a post every day. Or if not, every 2nd or third day. I'd rather take the time to write something I enjoy creating, than just post something to make sure the game is moving along at a clip. If I'm not into the game, or gonna be gone a while, I will discuss with you what's up, rather than just leave you hanging.
What I'd like you to bring to the table:
I'm not picky about the gender of a fellow player, or their character, but storylines may change based on the gender of characters, as there's some things I'm just not interested in. It happens. I'm a native English speaker. You don't have to be, and in fact one of my favorite games ever, was played along side an ESL partner. But I would like to be able to comprehend what you're writing. I certainly don't have perfect spelling and grammar though, so I'm not going to be pissy as to whether or not you do, as long as I get something that doesn't hurt to read. I'd really rather play with someone who's casual to advanced in skill level, but easygoing about it, because some times maybe either one of us just can't put down more than a paragraph or two, due to lack of time, or writers block, or whatever. And that needs to be okay. I really don't have any standards as to how frequently you can post, as long as I get something I enjoy reading. I understand people have lives, I certainly do, and I'm understanding as to how it may take time to get back on something. However, if it's gonna be forever, or you want to change or discontinue our RP, let me know, rather than just fading into the aether, please.

My interests and preferences:
I'm not big into playing in canon worlds or fandom worlds that already exist. I'd much rather create a unique setting. Also, the same applies to canon characters. Those characters are already defined. I like to do original works. More fun for me. Not so say that inspiration can't come from a lot of other sources, I just don't like to play out stories someone else has already written.
Settings wise I like modern fantasy, historical fantasy, modern realistic, and some sci-fi. I'm not a fan of historical realistic, or over complicated sci-fi. Story wise, I'm not a fan of slice of life games, or school based games. I like something to really be going on. Action, Comedy, Romance, all the good stuff. Not just a something x something story. Also of note, I literally have no line or limit. In fact, I tend to curse a lot, and love the whole sex, drugs, and rock n roll thing. Violence, gore, profanity, and whatever else you're in for, Im in for. I'm actually looking for something kind of dark right now as a matter of fact.

Okay, that's the whole profile thing. As far as 'games' I'd like to do, I have a few ideas, but I'm super open to anyone hitting me up with their ideas as well, cause I'm for ANY thing that could be fun. So here's my humble ideas for a two person collaborative story:
Something PI based. A pair of private investigators takes a case, thinking its routine, but nothing is what it seems and soon they find themselves fighting for their life against insurmountable odds. How will they handle it, and how will it change them as people?
Ghost Hunting. A team of paranormal investigators accientally awakens an ancient evil spirit, and now they have to try to survive, or maybe even defeat it
Disaster. Two, or maybe some friends, go on a camping trip or some kind of nature related vacation (maybe there'll be NPC's at first too) and some kind of disaster strikes, like a flood or an earthquake, and they have to make it back to civilization. Undoubtedly they'll grow closer together through their struggles as well.

Things I'm not interested in as much.
1. The zombie apocalypse. Sorry, I just think it's overused.
2. Something and a monster love stories. All those books, Haven't read em. Vampires and werewolves and demons and shit aren't cute. They want to slaughter and eat you.
3. Oh, and forgot to add earlier. STEAMPUNK. I'm extra not interested in it. Not sure why, just... No.

What sort of pairing/plots are you looking for? I see a small list of genre/themes/worlds but nothing much beyond that... (I understand you stated "Not just a something x something story" but these are a good way to at lest see what things you may be interested in....)

Echo: I don't think about stories in the form of "character x character". I think about them in the form of "X is happening to some people" then just figure out who those people are. So, as weird as it sounds, I don't really come up with 'pairings' or character archetypes I want to make interact. Because I just want to create a story. And a bunch of kinds of characters can get in that story, and it'll be different each time. Are there any specific character types you're attached to? I could be interested in some of what you've got as well.
Leigha: The hacker or WW2 stories seem like they could be really fun to me, but some of the others seem like they wouldn't work well with your "no romance" rule. Those two would be my preferences.
Kishiseta: I put down the PI thing because I had a story for it already. I could go for a spy game, if you'd be willing to help me do some brainstorming for it, and come up with something great.
The Disaster idea sounds like it would be quite interesting! I'd give it a go.

The disaster idea is getting a lot of good response. I'm pleased with this. However, for the number of responses I've gotten here and through PM, I'm going to go ahead and say I'm going to focus more on starting games with the people who have already responded. Anyone else new who replies from here down, I may not be able to get a game going with you, depending on how many of the responses I have now, work out. Sorry.

I think the two of us could work really well together, I like some things that you aren't as into, but that's okay. I love the ideas that you do have and I love having someone that I can build an idea with. The Evil Ghost is my favorite idea, followed by the disaster idea. We could even work with both if you're up for it. I get the idea of building original characters with original concepts and it really sounds like something I'm up for at the moment.
I past Casual to high Casual depending on how into the story I am and how tired I am. I do work a full time job, but I try to post at least once a day, if not than once every other day and I can let you know on days that I'm too busy or just not up for it. So let me know if you're still interested or still looking.
