Agent 170 looked away as the door was opened, flooding the room with light. After being in complete darkness for ages, the light hurt his eyes and was blinding. He squinted and slowly turned back to the door as he grew used to the light. Instead of his captors, 170 found himself faced with a fellow agent. It was an S Agent, holding in his hand a bloodied knife. In the doorway, 170 could see the fallen forms of the guards. Quickly, the agent ran up to the chair 170 was tied to and cut through the ropes, freeing 170 from his bindings. Two weeks confined thanks to the fact 170 had to be a distraction. That had to be a record.
"Can you walk?" The agent asked, looking at the door to make sure no one was coming. When agents were captured for a long period of time, it was common for the captors to take out the legs so escape would be impossible. Fortunately, his legs had been left alone for the most part. Instead, his face had taken a brutal beating and was bloodied quite a bit. Nodding, he slowly stood up, shrugging the remainder of the ropes off. The other agent quickly stabilized him with one arm, pulling out a gun with the other. A knife was only useful when you had the element of stealth on your side. Even though guns were loud and risky, they needed to get out fast.

Roughly one week later, 170 was walking back through the halls of the Agency. He had only just been released from the hospital after they had fretted over him after the escape. The drug dealers had been brought down afterwards but he hadn't been there since he had been immediately whisked over to a local hospital. Something about an old scar opening back up had worried everyone. But he was fine. Looking through the file he had been handed, Agent 170 sighed loudly. He was fine but they decided to put him on a cushy mission with some agent from the M section. God, he hated those guys. Well, hated was a strong word. More like he was torn between hating how arrogant most of them were while loving how pretty all of them were. But working with them usually was a nightmare. Oh well. Opening the file, he read it over while pausing to lean against a wall. His stomach hurt from the reopened scar but he had dealt with much worse so he put the thought of pain aside to read. He was paired up with some agent 303 to attend a... party? Seriously? 170 sighed loudly then tucked the file under his arm. They were supposed to meet at 14 hundred hours outside of the Q labs to be debriefed. Hopefully he would just be allowed to root around in the air ducts instead of actually having to dress up in a suit. Now to go break into the archives to read 303's file. It was technically against the rules but all of the S section did it when paired up with someone they didn't know. Besides, who was going to stop him? For all that it was, the Agency's defenses were terrible. All someone had to do was grab one of the Q scientists when they were leaving and force entry into the labs. From there, they would have access to all the forbidden technology that the agency kept stored. Not that he would ever do that.

Dan waited outside the Q labs, holding some papers in his hand, and staring intently at the locked doors. As a section D agent, he had to clean up a lot of other peoples messes. This time, some agent had a left a piece of tech that officially didn't exist yet in the field, and didn't bother to activate the self destruct system. To avoid an embarrassing leak to the media, section D decided to quickly write up a patent, and then uses their connections with the patent office to make it look like a start-up company invented the device a year ago. After everything went through, they'd make up some story about the company filing for bankruptcy right before it was supposed to be released to the public, and nobody would get suspicious.
He needed someone from the Q labs to look over the paperwork, and make sure that the documents were accurate, but vague enough not to give away any other secret tech. After he got the paper signed, maybe he could ask one of the Q agents about borrowing a communications van for his next assignment as handler. Though he didn't mind sitting at a desk, it could be nice to get outside the office every once in a while.

170 paused when he noticed someone standing outside of the Q labs, holding a bit of paper work. He wasn't exactly a chatty guy but the man obviously wasn't from the S section or the M section and was just staring at the doors. He usually didn't get involved but the Q labs were supposed to be locked up tight and someone staring at the doors like that was pretty suspicious. Even though he was probably just lost. "You looking for someone, mate?" he asked in his thick Scottish accent, walking up behind the guy. Since he wasn't on duty at the moment and the S section's suits were stored in the vaults, he was dressed very casually in a shirt that exposed the many scars on his arms. It was obvious what section he was from, just like it was easy to tell agents from the M section appart from all the other agents.

Dan heard someone speak to him from behind. He was a bit startled, as the person had approached very quietly. He turned around and look at the man. Dan figured he was probably an S section, or maybe a Z section man, as no one else would have that many scars. Dan said "I need someone from Q section to look over some papers that we're gonna be using to cover up a misplaced gadget. You know where I could find one of them? They aren't very good about answering emails." in a calm and respectful tone.

170 glanced at the sealed door then inclined his head. Yes, he had seen some scientists walk out of the labs and enter the S section lounge. He had sort of wondered why they had done such a thing since it was the middle of the day and the scientists were usually locked up in the labs until they had to go home. "Yes," he said, motioning with a hand for the man to follow him. D Section, then. Turning, he walked towards the S Section lounge silently then motioned to the door. "There should be a few in here," he declared, nodding at the closed door. He could hear voices inside but as soon as he got the D Section guy to a scientist, he was leaving. He hadn't forgotten about breaking into the archives and still planned on doing it.
