In Character Info

The Empire wants Kerrick Shan, badly, and is willing to pay a lot of money for him. It's not because he's in the Rebel Alliance, though that is the excuse. The opportunity arises on Nar Shaddaa when Shan is assigned to diplomatic duty as the pilot of rebel ambassador Naena Ral's vessel on a mission to make a deal with Bathoonga the Hutt. The Empire manages to break up the deal and kill both Ral and Bathoonga, but wants Kerrick Shan and the Nebula Dancer, his ship.

One bounty hunter, a woman, manages to take Shan unawares and is on her way to collect the bounty when things get interesting and the Empire decides that the bounty hunter is a loose end.

The two survive the ambush by the Imperials at the exchange through the intervention of the Empire's 'protocol droid' only to glean a disturbing piece of knowledge out of their ambushers -- the Empire wants Kerrick Shan because he is supposed to know something that the Emperor wants very badly. Even as they start to make their escape, a bounty is posted on the head of the bounty hunter, as well, with all of Nar Shaddaa looking to cash in on a former colleague. She has a ship, the Nebula Runner, but she needs a pilot that can get past the blockade; Kerrick Shan is her only hope.

The protocol droid informs them that the Imperial agent they disposed of was seeking information on the Armory, but does not know any more than that. Meanwhile, Kerrick has a sinking feeling that he knows where the information is -- back on H'ratth in the Inner Rim, where his family had lived for many a century, where his grandmother still abides...

Out of Character Info

I pretty much just figured to have a real adventure-heavy, fast-paced sort of Star Wars. I have a few ideas in my head, mostly revolving around a Jedi artifact (or other weapon) that the Empire wants badly and is willing to send heavy hitters to get.

In the process, this storyline relates back to the storyline of Darth Revan and Bastila Shan, so there is a connection there, though it is not apparent. But what Palpatine wants is very specific information that even the family isn't entirely aware of. The knowledge that something lies buried in the past leads the characters down a path fraught with peril and temptation, the force and the Dark Side.

I do not have too much fleshed out about the female bounty hunter, but I do know what sort of fellow Kerrick Shan is. The bounty hunter is up for grabs and development; Mandalorian or whatever, figure it out basically. Force sensitive, even, or not. It's all good. There is a thought though that perhaps due to the way she captured Kerrick the first time, there's a "Hunger Games" sort of distrust there; he knows he was used and taken for a sucker, so there is very little trust between the two despite the events they are thrown into. Things only get stranger from there on out.
