    Plot

In the year 2055, this alternate reality of Earth is on the verge of world war 3 despite what government propaganda is telling everyone. Resources have been squandered and overpopulation have combined to create a massive burden on mankind as well as the entire Earth. However, something even bigger is going on behind the scenes then just this. Magical beings known unofficially as Granters, and Eldrentus among themselves, are using this opportunity to make an attempt to gain control over all of mankind yet again. One such Granter, named Ertha'ls, claims that humanity will destroy everything on Earth, including themselves, without help from the Granters, but he has a solution to end this. He'll soon have the power to wipe out any and all humans who commit foul play, thus stopping aggression leading to war and leaving the land and it's resources to the surviving humans who deserve it. Even if many millions die, it will all be worth it in the end in his eyes. He has the support from the Eldreis Council, the most powerful group of seven Granters, and with that approval it became official for the Granters to carry out this plan. The only thing delaying this plan any further is a magical seal placed on all of the Granters that stops them from using their powers with the intent to harm/kill a human being. The magic binding them all in such a way is incredibly powerful, coming about from the days of the first Granter, but there's a rumor of a way to undue the seal through a complicated ritual.

Standing up to Ertha'ls and the Eldreis Council is a lone Granter, named Ardius, who believes that a very sinister plot is in the works by the Eldreis Council that goes beyond killing any human that they deem to be evil, an incredibly slippery slope in and of itself. Without the seal in place all of humanity would be in even more danger then they currently are, as he claims, but is considered a traitor for "trusting humans more so then Eldrentus and opposing the will of all Eldrentus", as they put it. He begs them not to go along with the plan, but a fight breaks out and Ardius is heavily wounded and forced to flee despite being one of the more powerful Granters. With him too hurt to do anything the Granter's carry out to first phase of their plan, which involves an old technique allowing them to better interfere with humans without actually doing it themselves, a loop hole to the seal placed on them. They can give magical powers to human girls, called "Eldrenka" in their language but simply known as magical girls to humans, even if some of them are women rather then girls. Some Eldrenka join because they believe in Ertha'ls's ideals, some are power hungry, some are forced into service, and some have many other motives for doing so. However, not all humans will take this lying down.

Known as the Human Task Force (HTF), they're in charge of putting the fate of humanity back into the hands of humans, countering the Granter threat and are made up of the best qualified humans from around the world. They believe humans won't destroy themselves and the Earth in the end, so the actions of the Granters are totally uncalled for. If the HTF can find out where a Granter is then they jump on the chance to go in and take him or her out without worrying about being directly attacked by the Granter. However, they quickly discovered that they had to overcome the aspect of surviving against the magical girls protecting them, girls who can easily destroy futuristic tanks. Anti-magical weaponry and armor is incredibly expensive and is only given to the best operatives, or be used for android and cyborg parts. A rare few vehicles are made out of this due to how much of the material would be needed. Without this you have to use normal lasers and other futuristic weapons, which can kill a magical girl but takes a lot of work and assuming you won't get blown to pieces by magic that's almost impossible to defend against without the special armor or magic of your own (so I suggest dodging). Knowing these difficulties, some of the operatives are injected with cells from a captive Granter (explained in more detail later on), but this is very dangerous. And even so, despite all of these difficulties and setbacks that they experienced, the HTF have surprised the Granters by being a major thorn in their side, even managing to kill some of them and lower their own death rate drastically against magical girls thought to easily be able to destroy them. Let's just say that their agents are good at what they do. Also, they're developing additional weapons not technically anti-magical material, but they're able to pwn magical girls just as easily. Future tech ftw!

At the moment the HTF don't entirely trust Ardius, but are not trying to kill him either until they can figure out who's truly on what side. With so many conspiracies and mysteries to go along, it looks like we have a lot of unraveling to do before the world can be saved.

Granters (Eldrentus) and Magical Girls (Eldrenka)

Granters are very powerful and have been around for, as some believe, the entire existence of Earth. They don't reproduce like humans do and child Granters are incredibly rare. Nobody knows how they come about. Some Granters are known to humans, but mainly as myths that few believe. Some governments know better. Granters are so much more powerful then normal humans that a rule had to be made not to allow them to attack humans. Some can still perform other "miracles". Granters rarely fight amongst themselves any more due to the Eldreis Council having control and whatever they say everyone else tends to follow. Some Granters are weak enough to be on par with magical girls, but for the ones on the council or equivalent power levels then you'd need entire teams of them in order to stand even a slim chance. Granters can attack magical girls, part of the contract they agree to when gaining their powers. Although still human, in the eyes of the magical seal placed on them they've risen above normal humans and are thus fair targets. Normal humans can just lol at the Granters who can't touch them and think it's all BS anyways about the "rising above" part.

Only some of the Granters can give human girls magical powers, a contract which is made that places a symbol used by the Granter somewhere on their body. Other Granters are either too weak or not approved to do so by the Eldreis Council. The best Granters can have over 100 magical girls under their command. The magical powers given can be numerous and is mainly limited to energy. If there's a magical spell to stop time, it's sure to use up a whole lot of energy insanely quickly. Most Granters want a balance in different powers for their team of magical girls, so some have more heavy hitting with costly abilities while others are weaker but easier to use, etc. To use the magic, they surround themselves in a special magical suit that can vary in appearance depending on the individual and who the Granter is that gave them their magical powers. Besides magical powers is also physical enhancements, such as being super strong and surviving a lot of damage, although some get these enhancements more or less.

    List of Granters

(The following is a list of Granters, and this will expand as more of them make their appearance known in the plot and as I think of more information for already existing ones. Tomorrow I'll draw the symbol for each Granter that will be put onto the magical girl when she gets her powers from them. You can create your own Granter or even be a Granter as your character, but for the ones I created you must prove you can act like how I envision them by sending me a PM written from their point of view, but can otherwise be about anything. You're in no way expected to memorize everything about all the different Granters right now, given how complicated it can all get, but you should know the important ones as they come up)

Ardius- He looks like this in his most powerful form but currently is about as small as a puppy and walks on four legs. He's very prideful and is the lone Granter (at the start) to resist the will of the Eldreis Council. He's as powerful as high ranking Granter's but due to heavily inflicted wounds he cannot take part in battle for a bit. The magical girls operating under his power have unique magical suits/powers and come from all over the world with the like minded goal of stopping the evil plot.

Etha'ls- A slender humanoid always cloaked in flowing black robes that looks like smoke and he has two glowing yellow eyes. He's an anti-hero believing that he's saving the world by eliminating all of the humans who do wrong. He has the support of the Eldreis Council, although is not an official member. He has given his power to around thirty magical girls from around the world who he believes best carry out his ideals for a perfect world and believe anyone who tries to stop them are the bad guys. Their magical suits/powers are unique to the individual. His group if close knit and powerful.

Silphuln- A feminine figure clothed in white robes that looks like smoke and she has glowing blue eyes. Her similar appearance to Etha'ls leads some to believe that a strong connection between them exists. Silphuln is the leader of the Eldreis Council and doesn't use emotion to judge what needs to be done. Her magical girls are adorned with full body red suits that appear something like this, but even their faces are hidden. Her magical guards are never sent on missions, but instead are strictly protecting her and the Eldreis Council headquarters. Most of them are from Scandinavia, oddly enough, and remain silent.

Karthus- An incredibly old Granter and thought by many to be the most powerful one outside of the Eldreis Council. He no longer likes dealing with humanity and has shut himself away from the world to all but a chosen few. He's brave enough to even tell the Eldreis Council to leave him alone and surprisingly they have. He has one elderly woman who still serves as his magical girl from when he used to have some.

Nil- A feminine figure but covered in cracks and white strips coming off of her body in places, making her look sort of like this. She's completely unresponsive and is in human custody in a secret lab underneath Nagoya Japan. She's constantly experimented on but not much is known. Scrapping cells from her body and inserting them into humans is a dangerous process but gives normal humans magical abilities along with a strong possibility of horrible side effects unless the human is a very good match, which nobody knows what would qualify as such.

Lrarlto- A "childhood friend" of Ardius. He believes in truth, justice, and the "American way", but is too much of a coward right now to openly oppose the Eldreis Council. He's a goofball among Granters and rarely taken seriously, being very weak compared to most of them. His magical girls are always 6 in number and are color coordinated in suits as the colors of the rainbow. They have to initiate poses and dance routines in unison as they transform or else he gets grumpy. His magical girls come from all over the world, but some say it's because he had to search all over just to get 6 girls crazy enough to follow him.

Ehntovre- He's a small round being with one eye and four limbs that can levitate around him. Despite being on the Eldreis Council, having authority to do a lot of things, he takes a neutral stance on most issues. He has the power to generate artificial realities, but only for nonliving things, and transfer people there, or more like transfers the reality onto them. To explain, let's say someone is walking down the street. He creates an exact version of that street and transfers this reality onto her. She (somehow) manages to trip and break through a class window display in this artificial reality, cutting her hand. This artificial reality is then removed, but the glass window display is back to normal due to not breaking in real life. However, the girl is and has always been who she always is, so retains the cut on her hand. He didn't alter anything about her, he just re-created her surroundings. This ability of his can be used to cover up large scale fights but keeps the damage done to everyone involved. His magical girls are few in number, mostly German, have flowing grey magical suits, and are often sent to clean up the mess left by the losers of these battles, but don't always make it in time. News stations confuse the girls who lost such battles to be victims of a team of serial killers.

Yurrahaln- A member of the Eldreis Council. He's power hungry, aggressive, and wishes for humanities complete destruction, but like the rest goes along with the plan on the surface that is ending the human wars by killing all of the evil ones by way of Etha'ls. He recruits magical girls from around Asia, mostly China, and has command over almost everything related to Asia. He has a personal grudge against Ardius and is the main one responsible for sending out magical girls to find him and finish him off, at least for now. He has at least 100 magical girls under his command, but the number could be far more. However, their life expectancy is limited so he goes through a lot of them quickly. He enjoys their suffering almost as much as his enemies. Anyone who tries to leave his command are killed, so if they do what they're told perfectly then he gives them a break without any incidents ...usually.

Eld'yreih- A member of the Eldreis Council and often recruiting magical girls around Europe, having command over matters related to Europe. He's more cautious then most for someone of his power. He's often seen with Yurrahaln discussing their strategies, of which they vehemently disagree with each other. He treats his team far better, but Yurrahaln claims he goes a little too overboard and his results are suffering because of it. He has a high amount of magical girls under his command.

Rech'il- A member of the Eldreis Council and command over North American operations. As such, most of this magical girls are either from the United States or, to a lesser extent, Canada and Mexico. Despite this, however, his magical girls are often seen in other places as well even if he doesn't have much authority there. Saying that he's not very trustworthy is an understatement. He has a high amount of magical girls under his command. Compared with Yurrahaln and Eld'yreih, these three are said to be about equal in power and are the "Grand 3" among the Council. Silphuln, being their leader, is still above them all combined.

Talloet- A female Granter on the Council. Although she doesn't have control over a certain area, she has more powerful magical girls under her control then even the Grand 3 members and can go all over the world to help back up those who need it when things go sour. She has some run-ins with Ardius, but it's more of a respectful rivalry even if they both need to kill each other. Talloet is thought to be the biggest true supporter of Etha'ls and his ideals.

Desrilul- A Granter not among the council, but one to look out for. Nobody knows what his goal is, but it appears to not be in compliance with the Council, causing them to be thinking about forbidding him from getting more magical girls under his power. However, there's never enough votes to do so as he helps some of them out on occasion.

Crayl- He is opposed to the Eldreis Council, acting as an "my enemy of my enemy is my friend" with Ardius, but in a strained relationship. Caryl is rash and wants all the glory and power for himself and doesn't value humans as much as Ardius does. At the beginning he operated mainly within the United States, and thus most of his magical girls come from there, but he has sense expanded "his territory" yet still recruits mainly from the United States. He has some run-ins with the HTF and Reich'il, his arch nemesis who also claims the United States as his territory and uses similar low blow tactics. The two appeared destined to keep running into each other and fighting. Although not particularly strong himself, he's able to have a very large amount of magical girls under his power, even more so then a lot of his enemies, albeit his are slightly weaker then normal.

Orphas- A cute looking Granter who appears like a chibi, floating light green seal. It giggles a lot in an inhuman noise almost sounding like an artificial ringing sound. Aww. Well anyways, he/she's not important right now. I just posted here so I won't forget later.
    Alliances and Magical Marks
Here is a chart showing who's in what alliance and also the Magical Mark representing them that is placed somewhere on a magical girls body once she gets her powers.

    Rules

    1. Standard forum roles apply such as no god moding and killing each other without permission
    2. I can create new rules as needed, but will be fair.
    3. You should post at least a paragraph per IC, but I won't jump on you for the occasional shorter post if you don't make it a habit.
    4. You can have more then one character
    5. If you're gone for a week, let me know. Otherwise I can do whatever I want with your characters inside of this roleplay. If you're waiting on someone to post, just post in the OOC every so often to let us know you haven't just disappeared.
    6. Feel free to say something if you have any questions, suggestions, etc.

    Ugh, fuck it

    Name: Johnathan Locklear
    Age: 33
Gender: Male (because fuck your magical girls)
Race: Human (because fuck your weeaboo granters)
    Nationality: Irish
    Occupation: HTF
Personality: Hates both granters and magical girls, trusts neither, especially Ardius
Likes: Guns, Bullets being fired from guns, and the IRA
Dislikes: Magical copies of The Notebook, You Got Mail, Twilight, and anyother chickflick that was invented Granters, Magical Women
    Powers: None
Talents: Marksmanship, Stealth, and Technical skills
Shortcomings: He goes into a blind rage everytime he sees a weeaboo
Biography: Johnathan was raised in a very violent, angry, and practical Irish home. His parents taught him that magic was for wusses and weeaboos, so therefore it didn't exist in his household, and still today he has trouble grasping that magic exists, because anyone that uses it is a weeaboo, and must surely be purged right now. Thus was his upbringing, a very pleasent and xenophobic lifestyle, as long as his father wasn't throwing whiskey bottles at him, and his mother wasn't screaming her religious dogma all the time. When thr Granters became known to him, Johnathan flew into such a rage that he immediately stopped what he was doing, threw his working tools at the nearest passerby, and stormed off to find the nearest recruitment center and enlisted immediately, intending to purge the weeaboos, else the ghosts of his parents might come back to kick the shit out of him again for believing in such "lies". He hates the magical girls because he belives that the granters brainwashed them, because of his upbringing, he has no room to think that they could be deprogrammed.

Hmm, so you think it's alright if I just reuse Levi with the necessary edits? I'm actually very tempted to make her one of Lrarlto's girls...

    Beautiful signature made by AmongHeroes.
Make sure to check him out!

A question, more for clarification. Can our character(s) can be a magical girl for one of the council members? Because I'm thinking of making mine being magical girls under Talloet.

How dreamlike to see my x-sisters, outside the context of a Papa Song dome. They sang Papa Song’s Psalm, over and over; background hydraulics underbassed that sickening melody. But how jubilant they sounded! Their Investment was paid off. The voyage to Hawaii was under way, and their new life on Xultation would shortly begin... Watching them from the hangway, I envied their certainty about the future.

He's accepted, but don't go out of your way to spite me in the IC or it might get annoying (you won't like an angry moderator. ). If you treat this seriously he can be a decent character.

Alright. And she would indeed fit in with Lralto.

She could be a stand in for Talloet but wouldn't have her own spot on the council.

Not on the council is fine, I was just wondering if the Granter for the character could be Talloet.
