At Axel's words, Jayden smiled softly. "I wonder if I should be reassured or worried," he murmured under his nose in amusement. Being brutally murdered by an insane werewolf was definitely not something he wanted to experience. He was warned about the transformations however, and the room was supposedly properly suited to the bodyguard's needs a few days ago, so that Jay could sleep soundly. Although, as Axel continued to speak, the blue-head couldn't help but find the thought of the albino cooking or cleaning humorous. He just really didn't look like the type.

Jayden glanced around the room when he was questioned, feeling rather reprehensible. "Well, I was studying," he replied off-handedly, frowning. Compared to all the various types of training the wolf had probably endured, 'studying' sounded ridiculous. "Since they said I don't need to worry about fighting or anything of the sort, they decided to turn me into a book," Jay chuckled, walking over to his desk, leaning back against it. Naturally, his studies included all sorts of things - from maths and sciences, to thermodynamics and engineering, and even decorum. Because in vampire royalty, everything had to appear perfect. "And, to be honest, I've still some work to do right now. So.." Jay trailed off awkwardly, glancing at the scattered papers across his desk.

Axel took the hint. "I guess I will leave you alone now, then." he said, as he made his way to the door to his room. As he went, his eyes passed over the piles of books that Jayden was studying. Axel couldn't help but wonder what the vampire's job was, and what the purpose of all the studies were. It was so far removed from his intensive but rather limited training. What could be the purpose of all this information? Axel was barely literate himself. The vampire world really was a whole different realm.
Axel opened the door that let to his adjacent room, closing it softly behind him. He breathed deeply as he looked around the room. The room held a bed along one wall, a wooden desk and a leather chair on the other. A chest of drawers also sat beside the bed and a mirror leaned next to it.. The floor was wood. The walls were wine red, as were the bed sheets. They reminded Axel of the color of blood. Axel quickly pushed the thought out of his mind. The room was sparse, but comfortable. Much more luxurious than he was used to. Axel immediately wriggled his feet out of his boots, shrugged off his stiff button-up shirt, and collapsed onto the bed with a smile. Maybe he could get used to being a bodygaurd.
Axel opened one eye and looked at the chest of drawers beside him. On top of it was a neatly folded outfit, presumably for the next day when he would officially begin his work. Next to it was a coil of rope. That was for tying himself up just in case he went berserk in the middle of the night. Axel chuckled humorlessly. He was still a feral werewolf.

The blue-head couldn't help but to breathe a sigh of relief when the werewolf disappeared behind the doors. Not because of dislike or anything of the sort - Jayden hadn't really made his mind up about whether he liked Axel or not just yet - but rather, the fact that socialising for the day was done. No more need to talk or interact with other people. Indeed, that was how much he hated human interaction. Or vampire interaction. Or any interaction with beings that could hold conversations.

Although, work wasn't exactly that much better an alternative. Sitting down on the chair in front of the desk, Jay decided to get the papers done as soon as possible and go to bed. However, he had the bad habit of leaving his hardest or most boring work to the very last, and it wasn't the first time he wished to strangle his past self for doing this to himself.

It was two hours and many mathematical equations later that Jayden was finally done with his studies. His mind a haze and his eyelids heavy, he hurriedly put the documents away into the pile of his completed work, before turning to walk to his bathroom, though in reality he wished to just collapse onto his bed as it was. So another half hour later, after a quick shower and changing into his sleepwear, the vampire crawled under the cold bedsheets gratefully. Glancing at the clock told him it was nearly one in the morning, and he groaned, turning to face away from it and covering his eyes with his forearm. Of course, the following minutes were spent in wasted attempts to fall asleep, his mind plagued with thoughts of the coming day. What exactly would it consist of? Was he supposed to have some sort of new routine now, or just attend his lessons as normal with the werewolf there? He really had no idea. And after a few more tries to ease his thoughts, he finally managed to slip out of consciousness into a pleasant, dreamless dark.

Axel fell asleep like a rock. Immediately he began to dream. He dreamt of vampires and werewolves and blood and full moons and lonliness. He wondered if vampires ever got lonely. Somehow, the aura around Jayden seemed to speak of a deep lonliness. He dreamt of Jayden. But when he woke up the next morning, he could not remember what the dream was. Axel sat upright in bed, his eyes snapping open. He was wet with dewy sweat. He struggled to remember what the dream was, but he could not remember no matter how hard he tried. Axel looked at the time. It was 6:00 in the morning. Time to get up. Axel collapsed back onto his bed. Five more minutes...
Eventually, Axel dragged himself out of bed. He put on the neat butler's outfit resting on his nightstand. It consisted of black trousers and boots, a white button up shirt and a double breasted vest with silver buttons. It was tight. Axel popped open the top three buttons on his shirt. There. That's better. Axel swiveled on his heel to look at himself in the mirror. He almost laughed. He looked too clean and professional. He shook out his white hair and gave it a quick run-through with his fingers. That would do it. He went through a mental checklist of what his parents had told him his morning duties would be. He would have to make breakfast first. Oh no. The first challenge of the day. Axel slowly crept out of the room and quietly past Jayden's room.
Now, where's the kitchen? Axel walked to the end of the hallway and down a flight of stairs. Great. Now was not the time to get lost. Axel walked down another hallway. They all looked the same! Axel's eyes drank in the exquisite architecture. He passed by an open window and stopped. He poked his head out. The sun was just peeking a red eye over the horizon. The morning doves cooed in their nests. The breeze carried the scent of fresh grass and pollen. In that moment Axel wanted nothing more than to leap out of the window and tear across the fields. But no, that wasn't an option anymore.
