Nicole isn't your typical popular girl though. She has gotten through her three years of high school with either C's or D's. She would whether push the cheerleaders off of a cliff then join them. Her hair is always wild colors and she loves her dark green eyes. Nicole laughs in the quarterbacks face whether than date him. She does love her crew of friends, but she needs some days and nights by herself, which would include working on her music or writing. Nicole is the one that gets invited to the hottest parties, she doesn't host. Filthy rich? It's a miracle, that her mother even has enough money to put some food on the table each month.
Somehow though, Nicole was the popular girl, everyone loved her, everyone respected her. Girls wanted to be her best friends, guys wanted to date her. She never let all of the attention go to her head though. Nicole was a down to earth girl, she told you up straight, wasn't afraid to lash out her anger at you, and having a fight was a normal thing in her day. She was the tough popular girl. Nicole was anything but typical.
It's summer now, Nicole is eighteen, but nothing has changed about her. Her life has completely flipped upside down though. Her mother started to date some guy, which was normal since it's been eighteen years since her mother ever seen Nicole's father. Nicole's mothers new boyfriend though, was a cop. Nicole wasn't sure what her thoughts were on the fact that her mother was dating a cop, since Nicole got in trouble with cops all the time. As long as her mother was happy, Nicole was happy.
Half way through summer, something happened. It was a big enough, to completely effect Nicole's whole life. Her mother was now engaged to her cop boyfriend, so he exchanged to a different police station in a different state. Nicole, her mother, and her soon to be new father, packed up, and moved.
Senior year. Nicole would have to deal her Senior year in a different school. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Now she would have to spend at least a year in Chicago, Illinois. On her first day of school, Nicole still got herself in the popular position. She fit right in as if she always lived in Chicago. That is until she meets her new writing partner in Creative Writing.
The first time, Nicole landed her eyes on Michael, she knew he was the bad boy, the player, and the fact that he was showing off his colors; she knew he was a gangbanger. Someone that Nicole didn't want to mess with. Luck wasn't on her side though, he was her writing partner. Nicole doesn't want anything to do with Michael, not wanting to deal with him. Michael thinks Nicole is a stuck up, popular bitch.
When their worlds get collide together, both of them have to face their past, and deal with their secrets together. Michael may be in a gang, but Nicole may have secrets that might be more threatening. At the end, will their secret love bloom into something beautiful, or will it blow up in their faces?

I've left the plot open, so my partner and I could discuss it, and add somethings as we go write the story. But right now, the plot is basically, Nicole and Silva hating each other, they find out each others secrets and past; grow respect for each other, and soon fall in love.

I'm a little leery of having them fall in love too quickly.
And every good romance needs some toolbar trying to break them up. Along with her Father's total disapproval.
Trust me, they will not fall in love to fast.
