Short bio: David was born in the castle that controlled the small village. His father, Daniel Gaul, was a knight that served under the banner of the local lord. His mother was the dress weaver in the small village. David's father wasn't normally around during his son's childhood, but when he was, he told his son great tales of battle and glory, and honor. He taught him with every moment he could how to be a knight. Daniel taught his son the acts of swordsmanship and horse riding, whilst his wife, Jewel, taught David the principles of the knight, such as chivalry, honor, and discipline.
The last time David had seen his father was a day when he was fourteen, a day that he would never forget. . .Daniel was rushing about the family's room in the castle, preparing his war gear. He didn't have the usual look of joy that he had when he was going to serve his lord, but he had a look of fear and doubt upon his face. Daniel gave his horse, Deliverance, to David and his mother, and told them to ride to the village from the back gate and never look back.
They weren't the only ones there, either. It seemed as if every woman and child was leaving from the back, the faint sounds of clashing steel, arrows flying, and men screaming could be heard at the front of the castle. Neither of them knew the fate of the castle, but they kept on riding. . .
They have lived in the village ever sense, David has been training himself in the woods every day, and every night he would stay up for long hours reading tales. . .tales much like those his father had told him. But these were not all tales of men, but also of creatures. . .Creatures said to roam the woods at night. . .He didn't believe these tales, though.
