Fenris sighed, "Before this, I was in a different pack... My Alpha died trying to protect us, I was the only one who lived... Because I was a coward and ran..."
He sighed, "I don't want to see my Alpha in a state like that again..."

His anser threw Neave for a while, she couldn't really think of what to say. "At least you know he meant to... I suppose I could empathize with the alphas; many wolves would lay down their lives for you but you couldn't tell how many really wanted to."

Neave sped up checking the borders as swiftly as possible, before walking back to the main camp. A few other wolves were there mostly just waking up.
