Washed Ashore Somber Island (OOC)

Captain Leonard loved his job. Driving around smiling faces, many of them newlyweds, around on their vacations. The water ahead looked clear. "A perfect day for boating.." He said in awe. The tropical sunset was magnificent, multiple colors of pinks and oranges scattered across the horizon. He was certain the passengers were thinking the same thing. He pictured a young couple, man holding the woman in a deep embrace. Both of them entranced by the lovely sky. "It looks like smooth sailing from here...."

Sometimes even the calmest skies can turn sour. The MerriTime Express was on the third leg of it's journey. There was four days until their next port destination and things looked otherwise normal. Nothing to be alarmed about. There was a constant hustle and bustle in the casino, show girls undulated their hips to upbeat Latin music. Everything was picturesque aboard the cruise ship. A the night drew in, the sky grew dark. Inky black cloud slowly invaded the blue skies. Things took a turn for gloomy. The boom of thunder sounded in the distance. A few passengers stood in awe at the growing storm. Little did they know, they would soon be swept under the salty waves, along with the luxurious cruise ship.

Waves pounded mercilessly upon the helpless vessel. Many passengers tried escaping on life boats, only to be hit with vicious waves, and dragged under the cold ocean. Many did not make it. But the few who did, were brave and lucky. Fate shined kindly on them. They found themselves washed ashore a desolate island. As if surviving the horrific boat incident wasn't enough, now they are faced with the need to rough mother nature. Will they work together or pull apart?

Name: Claudia Lovell.
Appearance:

Age: 23
Personality: Claudia is more shy than outgoing, preferring the company of her thoughts than conversation with others.
Bio: Claudia grew up an only child. She often spent her days in the confines of her nursery, reading books in her child sized rocking chair. Her mother and father often found their daughter strange. She was so unperson able. The other children rarely spoke to Claudia, let alone came over to play. They were worried she would grow up sad and depressed. They were partiality right to worry. As she grew, so did her awkwardness. The more she tried to socialize, the greater her distaste for it grew. She wasn't, however a sad young woman. Just realistic.

She flew through high school, her grades phenomenal due to the many hours locked up in dusty libraries with her nose in books. She never really fit in with the other children, though that was mostly due to lack of interest in the first place. She soon went on to university, studying to become a botanist. She had always loved plants. The uniqueness of their leaf shape, the vivid colors that they came in. She used to spend a lot of time in the town garden when she was young, delicately touching the silky petals between her fingertips. She only had a year to go before she graduated and her mother decided to treat her on a cruise. She was filled with glee! She had never been on the open seas, and longed to see it.

"Well, here I come ocean!"

Personality:Ignorant, "goofy", never EVER serious, creative, sometimes caring.
Small Bio (2-4 paragraphs):
Skillage was made by "the prophets" to be sent to the earth. HOWEVER they messed up, and he only obtained super strength. Blah, blah, blah big back story, saves the world, ect.
After years passed, he realized how hard he worked for everything, and decided he needed a break. The original plan was to fly to Jamaica, but his friend, Mattaeus, knew captain Leonard very well, and recommended the ship. Skillage never passed up an opportunity for fun, so on that sunny day he shook Leonard's hand, and hopped aboard!

I've always wanted opinions on appearance. Should I go back to anime or stick with the picture?

Stick with real pictures. I'd hate to see a dozen anime boys and girls running around the island. Although, I would recommend using the picture of an actress you like rather using pictures of regular people.

Personality:
Birdie is an exceptionally bright girl curious about human nature. She considers herself a bad person who does good things for mysterious reasons. When faced with matters of ethics she will always ponder the thought of doing the wrong thing. She will teeter on the edge before finally caving in and always without flaw does the right thing. Birdie is a self analytical and calculating individual who systematically scrutinizes her own actions in an attempt to figure out why she lives life the way she does. She often gets frustrated with her unwavering sense of "justice" and is incredibly outspoken about it.
Small Bio: Birdie applied for a job aboard the MerriTime and was offered a position in ship's casino as a cocktail waitress. Without a doubt she whisked up her life into a little bag and set sail with Captain Leonard. Hailing from a town land locked far away from the sea, her first day at work was the first time she'd ever saw the ocean. She found the ship to be a welcome change from the mundane lifestyle she'd become bitterly accustomed to and she was hoping the trip would allow her to learn a little more about herself.
Back at home Birdie was in her third year of higher education studying sculpture which allowed an outlet for the way her mind worked. She'd chosen to take a gap year to further explore the inner workings of her mind.
