From the day he was born Andrew Collins was bred for perfection. His mother was a homemaker with a masters degree in Sociology, and his father was a decorated marine. As he grew up Andy was pushed to the extreme in everything that took to his liking, and some things that weren't. His father treated home life like basic training, so the boy was up at four every morning from the time he was able to sleep in a toddler bed. His mother made sure that he met all of his milestones on time, and nurtured his emotional side. The result of this upbringing was an outstanding individual. Andrew was well mannered, soft spoken but direct, and could make a bed with hospital corners in a flash. The Collins' son was destined to be great, and absolutely no one was going to stand in his way. At the promising age of seventeen he was in his Junior year of high school, ever so close to graduation and to fulfilling his dreams, and the dreams of those who loved him.
Individuality was important to his mother, so despite the constant complaints of his father, Andrew had long brown hair that fell to the middle of his back. It was straight and soft, though he rarely wore it down. Gathered at the nape of his neck it hung in a horse tail down his spine. He was nearly six feet tall, standing at a proud 5' 11", a height that he certainly did not inherit from his petite mother. In fact, the only thing he got from his mother was his high Native American cheekbones. The rest of him was obviously his father's genetics with broad shoulders, a narrow waist and naturally pale skin, although he always sported a sun-tan from working outside. Lean muscled Andrew also happened to be one of the star athletes of the school. He was a record breaker in track, a running back in football and an avid golfer. He also was on the yearbook committee, and was the treasurer of student council. Adored by teachers and students alike, Andrew's way through his high school might as well have been paved with gold. That is, until he arrived.
The new Language Art's teacher was the bane of Andrew's existence. This man had the audacity to waltz into his school, and ruin his GPA. Andrew had gone from a perfect 4.0 his entire life to a devastating 3.5 due to the D he was receiving in Mr. Spencer's class. His mother was consoling when he brought home bad grade after bad grade, but his father was furious. Mr. Collin's couldn't decide if he should punish his son for tarnishing his perfect reputation, or if he should go over to the school and show this Mr. Spencer a little bit of the love that he'd shown the extremists during the war. Andy, despite his father and mother's constant comments, held onto the notion that this Mr. Spencer was jealous, and therefore had an agenda against him. One way or another though, Andy was going to get to the bottom of this asshole's mind, and grade book.
Normally up front and ready to participate in class, Andrew sat in the back of his afternoon language class. His mood took an obvious dive everyday after his lunch period, knowing he'd have to sit and listen to this arrogant ass stand and lecture. Arms crossed he sat brooding quietly as Mr. Spencer assigned the new writing assignment. An event that impacted his life greatly huh? Spinning the idea around in his brain he slowly settled on one, then got out his notebook. Putting his head down he reached back and pulled the hair tie out, letting his hair fall down over his left shoulder and shield him from the watchful eyes of his teacher. He furiously started writing, determined to not only get the grade in this class that he knew he deserved, but get back at Mr. Spencer while he was at it.
