Really, there's not much I can explain ahead of time right now =3 the main details are that the tournament will be considered the esquire exam for the class our characters will be a part of, They'll be considered trainee rank, and may turn into a full fledged RP after our little tournament is over ^.^
Things such as the arena for each fight or certain events that could be involved will be explained on the fly when they become relevant ^.^ I want to keep everything flowing steadily.
I need at least 8 people, but we can handle more =3 I'D actually love to be able to set things up with Teams of 2 working together. Some people could make their own pair, or pair up with other's, but if we only get 8 people, it'll be fine with just an 8 man one on one tournament.
Human: OBVIOUS!!!!! we all know about humans right? >=I I suppose I'll point out though, normal humans cannot use demon weapons, but they can use holy weapons of any level.
Demon: Demons have both a [MOSTLY] human form, and a Demon form with enhanced physical abilities and likely a unique type of available power. They are capable of wielding any demon weapons that aren't unique to a single demon [I.e. no Sword of Satan, or anything =P], but can only wield basic Holy weapons in 'human form'. If a demon specializes with holy weapons, they likely will not use their demon form at all unless they are unable to use their normal weapons. Demons also tend to heal faster than humans do.
Human/Demon Hybrids: Yes these are allowed, but they are no more powerful than others. They can utilize Holy weapons like a human can, but can only wield moderate and below demon weapons. Their 'demon form' is incomplete and only partially transforms them, and they do not have a perfect human form available. They also still have the weaknesses of a demon, though not to a crippling degree.
Note: Demons cannot automatically bring out their full demon power while in the human world, they can bring out approximately 1/3rd of their full power, but require a specialized demon weapon to fully unleash their power.
If you can come up with another and are willing to make it fitting for the RP, go for it. However, I shall brutally bitch slap the first person to try making an Angel who's 'holy power' can slaughter demons without even trying =P Though you can make an Angel if you can come up with balancing abilities and weaknesses for them.
Also, given the context of the RP, things like Vampires or Werewolves, would be classified as a type of demon with unique abilities, a Blood Demon and a Beast Demon respectively.
I'll leave 'type of weapon' up to you all XD But I'll define some info about the subtext here.
Holy: Holy weapons obviously are extremely effective against demonic opponents, often having a small degree of enhancement for their wielders physical abilities, they also often have a unique ability built into the weapon. This can apply to shields as well.
Demonic: Demonic weapons will attempt to corrupt those who are not already demons, as such as unusable to humans who are not of incredibly strong conviction [that doesn't mean, god obsessed zealot =P]. They often have a unique ability build into the weapon, as well as causing the release of a wielding demon's full power, some may be able to enhance this power further. Also, when drawn, a demonic weapon will be wreathed in the power of it's wielder, meaning a fire demon would have a blazing sword for instance, or a more obscure variety such as a 'dream demon' may have a blade that when swung sends frightful images to the target.
Enchanted: These weapons are neither specifically demonic or holy in origin, but are enchanted with some other unique effect, the possibilites are incredibly varied and entirely up to the person making one, though it's 'common' to hear about one elementally imbued. These can be wielded by people no matter their race.
You are allowed to choose 2 Exorcist classes for now, though choosing one ensures more leniency in what you are capable of with it's specialties.
Knight: Melee Specialization, normally known for using swords, however I will allow this to denote skill in other types of weapons, such as Axes, Fists, or Spears. This can include unique weapon based skills. Knight's are also often capable of utilizing their body's well even without a weapon.
There's no Hard system for defining skill with melee weapons, so simply put, if you specialize solely in Knight, then you'll likely be able to over-power someone who doesn't in some way. If you specialize solely in Knight, you may have 2 Skills for your chosen weapon, or you may have 'no skills' and make it a unique weapon such as a Demon, Holy, or Enchanted Weapon. If you pick 2 Classes at once, then you may only have 1 Skills, or no skill and one unique weapon restricted by your race choice [I.e. Demon weapon for Demons, Holy sword for humans, and so on.]
Dragoon: Firearm Specialization, wether a pistol, Crossbow, shotgun, machinegun, or whatever, this is a range specialization for exorcists. They won't give Trainee's rocket launchers or miniguns, so don't get stupid.
If you specialize solely in Dragoon, Then you have 2 gun Equips [Note, Dual small guns count as a single equip, however large pistols like Heavy Revolvers or Hand cannons will count 'one' gun as one equip.] and you can have a unique ammo type for each one, or 2 types for one gun. If you choose dragoon with another class, then you can only have 1 Equip, and 1 type of unique ammo.
Note: For the sake of 'not killing eachother', Unique types of ammo will be used that simulate the effect of deadly gun shot wounds without the true wound being inflicted, though Exorcist Doctors are still standing by incase this trauma still causes someone a problem.
Tamer: Summoning Specialized Tamers, Able to summon demons suitable for their own level of power to fight for them in battle. Some Tamers have the vulnerability that their demons will turn on them the instant they display a weakness, some other's may manage to make a demon 'loyal' to them, and even not need to summon them at all. While they do tend to depend on the power of their demons to do the most damage, they are not completely incapable of handling themselves in a fight, unless, ya know, they neglect that side of themselves.
If you Specialize solely in Tamer, you may have up to 4 weak normal demons, or 2 Low level normal demons, 2 Loyal weak demons, or 1 Loyal Low level demon. [Note, Demons can grow stronger through the RP and over time][Second Note: Swarm type demons, meaning very weak demons that come in large numbers easily, can be used as 1 weak demon for a small swarm of them] If you split specialties, then you can have 2 weak normal demons, 1 low level normal demon, or 1 loyal weak demon. You 'can' have 1 Loyal low level demon, but you will need to weaken your other specialty further to compensate.
Remember, If your summoning circle is damaged, then your demon will vanish.
Also remember, that you must bleed on the summoning circle in order for it to activate, and the larger the array and the demon's power, the more blood is required, so be wary.
Note: You can use different types of circles, please specify which array is used for your demon summon, Floor Array, Paper Array, or Skin Array. Also, there is the 'loyalty' type, that does not use a circle.
Floor Array: Larger Summoning array's drawn on the floor, very vulnerable against mobile opponents, but are required for summoning stronger demons that aren't 'loyal demons that have grown to a higher level'. They take a while to draw properly and leave the summoner likely vulnerable, however, if you use this type, because of it's advanced level of use, you will be allowed to upgrade your starting summon to Intermediate level demon, or up to advanced if it the only one you have [however you'll have to do some explaining as to how in the hell that demon doesn't find you a worthless puddle of flesh unworthy of commanding it XD]
Paper Array: the simplest yet most vulnerable array. This entails pieces of paper with summoning circles imprinted on them, you can carry piles of these and they make summoning multiple demons much easier, however, a simple tear, or even getting them wet, can dispell the summoning capability of the paper, rendering them useless. However, they have the added benefit of being able to simply tear them if your demon turns on you and allowing you to quickly save yourself from their wrath, making them highly popular for any starting Tamers.
Skin Array: For the braver Tamers out there. This entails tattooing the demon summoning array directly onto your own body. This makes it much easier to protect the array and avoid an opponent dispelling your summoning, however likewise, if your demon turns on you, you can only dispell them by harming yourself and cutting your array.
Note: You can also use this one with an ink dispenser or some sort to form your skin arrray on the spot rather than using a permanent tattoo.
Loyalty: The most difficult but most useful method of Tamer/Demon connection. This entails actually befriending a demon, or at least forming a 'contract' that binds them to 'behave' until a certain condition is met for them to be free. Needless to say, it's very rare that a demon 'can' be part of a Loyalty connection, but it's not unheard of, nor is it impossible given enough work from the tamer, and it's often very much worth the difficulty of forming such a bond. A Demon who is 'loyal' to you could be worth a whole swarm of enslaved demons.
Loyal demons are 'always' present, no summoning necesary, and are not bound by the limits of a summoning circle, allowing them to grow stronger over-time. Essentially, you have an un-restricted demon by your side, the main issue you must worry about is other exorcists developing an issue with the 'free demon'.
Doctor: To put this simply, Doctors deal in medical capabiltiies, knowledge, and materials, often have strong herbological information to help with their work, and also deal in chemical anti-demon warfare. They are as capable of poisoning you to death as they are of bringing you back from the brink of death.
I'm not too experienced with the doctor class myself, so I'm open to being lenient and letting you all come up with what sorts of chemicals and supplies you'll have as standard equipment for yourself, just don't go crazy with it.
Aria: Due to the distinct lack of capabilities in an Aria aside from strong memory and 'prayer attacks', I'm going to allow them to be 'casters' of a sort in this RP. Essentially an Aria can use certain passages they have memorized and meditated on to create spell effects, though it 'should' fit the effect. The ability to recite scripture is an inherent ability or Aria's.
If you specialize in Aria, you can have 10 'spell points', which can be distributed between Minor Spells [1 point], Low level Spell [1.5], Intermediate [3], Advanced [6], High Level spells and above would be relative to 12 Spell points+.
If Aria is your Secondary, then you may have up to 5 points available.
Since there is no way to perfectly define what type of effect should fit which level, we'll just have to go on intuition. For me a 'minor' effect would be like a little burst of hot ash, or a small blast of wind/water, an Intermediate type would be the level where fireballs of flame throwers might be viable, and something like an Advanced would entail a much more complex effect.
Keep in mind, that the level of spell 'and' the size of the incantation combine to create the level of power of the spell. You could have an advanced spell with only a few words, but it would be much weaker than one that consisted of a few sentances. While a huge incantation may bring much greater power, it also means that you will be vulnerable longer while chanting it.
Note: An Aria 'can' be mobile while casting, 'sometimes' even fight while doing so, BUT!, doing so will weaken the effect of the spell due to reduced focus.

I'm interested. If I might offer up a suggestion? 8 players might be a little too much. Why not make it a little smaller?
Anyway, my character sheet, if and when this starts:
Name: Aurum
Age: 347 years, 9 months, and 12 days in Demon years, about 6500 years in human time. (Equivalent to 23 for a human.)
Race: Demon Pure-Blood
Special abilities: *Not sure of what to put in here...*
Lineage: Nothing special. Completely pure-blooded demon, born of Elder Demon parents. His specific bloodline has a trait of psychopathy and sociopathy that may or may not arise in all children.
Exorcist Class Preference: Tamer (Pure)
Class Sub-text: Summons Darker Ethereal demons, but ensures loyalty before summoning anything too powerful. Secondary demons include Fire/Darkness and Arcane Demons. Has practice in summoning Low Level Demons, and knows theory behind higher level summoning, but has never attempted it due to school and academy regulations.
Class Equipment:
Preferred weapon : Demon Staff of Defense: 5 foot tall ebony staff, with a metal rod through it, and a staff head made of a demon claw, with a Blood Jewel inset three inches below. Useful for blocking and clobbering. (If allowed: Allows quicker conjuration of up to 4 weak normal demons, or 2 Low level normal demons, 2 Loyal weak demons, or 1 Loyal Low level demon. May only be used once, after which the Blood Jewel disintegrates. Inputting new Blood Jewels takes too much time to be done in battle.)
Portable Ink-dispenser. Semi-permanent on skin, and sticks to the floor. Can be wiped off skin with water, and on floor with water or fire.
Chalk (6 Packs, 1 Conjuration requires 1 piece of chalk, each pack has 12 chalk pieces.)
Paper Arrays (6)
Blood Vials (6)
Class Information:
Has numerous tattoos all over himself in various places and spots. Most are meant to summon only Low level swarm demons. A single tattoo on Aurum's eyes summons a slightly higher caste weak demon, but this tattoo is permanent, and the Demon is not, unfortunately of the loyal kind. The tattoo has never been activated, and destroying the tattoo means that Aurum must severe the optic nerve, causing blindness in one eye. He has sworn to never use this tattoo unless absolutely necessary.
Aurum knows how to bind demons with contracts before summoning them, including Loyalty clauses in the summoning circle. This is done due to his familiarity with the demon tongue and it's 12000 different characters. However, due to a weaker grasp of the human tongue, he may mistake directions or calls for help from his less demonically inclined team mates.
Demon form takes 1 turn to take over fully, but erects skin barrier of dark energy to prevent harm to the player.
Aurum is unfortunately arrogant, and believes that he can definitely summon a higher level demon onto a battlefield using his theoretical knowledge. Due to the pure bloodline and heredity, higher level demons will not immediately squash him to pulp, but will not give him any form of undying loyalty either, unless he earns it. Aurum, due to the demon nature of his character, and a strongly manifest sociopathic trait, is not above sacrificing a team mate of enemy to a demon permanently or temporarily if it earns him demonic loyalty.
In connection to the above point, Aurum has a Loyal Weak Demon, named Nazgaroth. Nazgaroth is a Darker Ethereal demon with a fire trait, and can best be imagined as a large Black doberman with translucent fur and eyes that have a tendency to shift color to either black or red. The contract with Nazgaroth has been paid for with the blood of a homeless man in the Human Realm. Nazgaroth was a gift from Aurum's parents, and is unfortunately inclined to attack to kill his targets, behavior that makes the Academy wary of the demon. Aurum has already received warnings from the Dean and the Principal of the Academy for this. Nazgaroth has been training with Aurum for the better part of the decade, which means that he is barely housebroken.
P.S.: I'm new to this, so tell me if I'm making any mistakes, and I'll fix them as quickly as I can. Thanks!
Well, I was trying to go for 'at least' a standard tournament size, also it was pretty much the size of a standard Exorcist Trainee class too XD Though of course after all this time If i can get an even number of 4, including myself, that'll be fine too XD Just means this portion of the RP will be over faster XD
also, I shall look over the CS in a little bit =3 I'm right in the middle of something and just checked subscriptions on a whim.
