Secrets, Lies, and Alibis [ Oddy & John Torque ]
She frowned as she walked up the steps of the school. Where was Ken? He was supposed to meet her at her house this morning but he never showed. She had been forced to leave without him. Savannah sighed as she pulled her long brown hair up into a ponytail. Glancing around, she tapped her foot impatiently and frowned. Where could that boy be? A few other students walked by and her entire body stiffened. It had been just a week since the accident had happened. God she regretted making Ken sneak up to the school that night. He had it so much worse than she did. He had become a werewolf while she was a vampire. The two of them weren't supposed to exists in this world. Now she was struggling with bloodlust. Everyone in the school was at risk of being fed from. She almost nearly fed from one of her siblings the other night.
Savannah pulled her phone from her pocket. She sent Ken a text and hoped he would answer it back soon. The bell was going to ring in about five minutes and everyone would have to go to class. She pulled her jacket closer to her body as the wind blew around her. It was a gusty day and cold at that. She was dressed in a black jacket, black jeans and a dark purple t-shirt was under her jacket. She wore her knee high fur boots on her feet to help keep her toes warm. Of course, she seemed to be cold all the time since her change. Vampires were rumored to be cold since they didn't have any blood pumping through them to keep them warm. She took out her phone and looked at it again. "Come on Ken. Where are you?" She wanted to talk to him before she was forced to go to class. If he didn't get there soon they wouldn't see one another until lunch time.
A few more students filtered into the school, walking by her as they did. She had moved to sit on the stairs and wait. Her chin rested in her hand and her elbow was propped up on her knee. She chewed on the inside of her lip as she tried to fight back the urge to bite Sally Fields as she walked by. As she stared out into the woods across from the school, she swore she saw something in the trees. Her curiosity was getting the better of her but she tried to stay put in case Kevin showed up. "It was just your imagination Savannah. There is no way someone is watching you." Though they could be. She had heard that vampires had a pull to their fledglings. Could her sire be nearby still? Surely not. She shook her head and closed her eyes. There was nothing in the woods...

Ken raced through the people-infested halls trying to reach his destination: Savannah. He was wearing a black leather jacket, a white shirt, jeans and black sneakers. His black mane shaking as he ran, his yellow eyes focusing on every person around him, trying not to kill them. His body still ached from that one night.
As he gave his last turn across a corner, his phone rang. It was Savannah asking where was he? Sure, it was late, but he had to go the bathroom and the wave of people moving didn't help either. He reached her, kneeled behind her and put his arms around her. "I'm here." he whispered to her ear.

Savannah would have jumped when Ken wrapped his arms around her but she could smell him as soon as he hit the open air of outside. She turned to see him and grinned. The tips of her newly found fangs were visible over her lower lip, a sign they both had learned meant she needed to feed. "About time. Hey, we are skipping class today. There is something in the woods and I want to find out what it is." She had been hoping it was Ken pulling a trick on her or something. Since that hadn't been the case she wanted to go find out exactly what it was. She managed to free herself from Ken's arms and stood up, dusting her bottom off before she grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the woods. "If you get in trouble I'll cover for you okay?" Savannah smiled at him widely. "Come on. We need to go before we get caught."

Ken grinned and chuckled slightly, he loved to skip classes as much as she loved, but she wasn't quite wild outside that. He nodded and stood up, he could see how her fangs were larger. His eyes now had took a yellow shade, his eyes becoming cat-like. He looked at the woods to see if there was something out of order...but everything felt usual to his eyes. He smoothed his jacket and smiled when she took his tightly. He tried to match her pace walking but she ran fast indeed. "What are we exactly looking after, huh?" he asked. "And don't worry, we won't get caught, hehe. If i haven't been caught in six months, i won't get caught now."

Savannah stopped once they were deep enough into the woods that no one would see them. "Something was out here Ken. You can't tell me it hasn't felt like you've been being watched lately." She knew she wasn't paranoid because she hadn't been before they had been changed. The girl sat on a fallen log and looked around. "We've got to be very careful. People have no idea what we are." Her eyes fell on her friend and she swallowed hard. Lucky for them both, he smelled awful to her but he still had blood running through his veins. She growled slightly but it stopped when something rustled in a bush nearby. Savannah was on it in seconds. She was very fast for a fledgling vampire. The female picked up the rabbit that had been in the bush. Looking it over, she almost considered sucking it dry but instead she put it down and let it go free. "How have things been Ken? Have you changed again?" She knew he had changed once since the attack but she wasn't sure if he had again or not.

"I know, i think i also have been watched as on lately. I feel like someone is stalking me the whole time..." he said worried and looking to both sides like if he was paranoid. Everything was normal until that one night when they were turned. He was starting to develop feelings for her after that night, even though they were supposed to be enemies due to fact they were in different factions. He sighed when she picked the rabbit up, for a moment he thought about mauling it to death but that wouldn't be very intelligent to do so close to the school. "How things have been, huh? Well, last night i changed and i started roaming through the backyards of my neighbourhood, i killed a dog and almost kill a child. This is really beginning to worry me..." He whispered. He sat besides her and grabbed her hand. "We ought to be careful from now on..."

She had been spacing out when Ken grabbed her hand. "I know that. I nearly got Layla last night. She crawled into my bed and she was just too close." Savannah sighed heavily. "We may not be able to stay Ken. We can't put others at risk because of what we are now." She squeezed his hand as she took a step towards him. They were standing nearly toe to toe now. "Remember last year when I talked you into running away from home so you could live in my backyard?" She grinned as she spoke. "Maybe we need to do something like that now. We can live in the woods here and only go to town when its dark out or something." Savannah wasn't even sure what she was saying. This all sounded crazy to her. "Or we could try and stay but we risk killing people. I don't know Ken. What should we do?" He always seemed to be a bit more level headed than she was when it came to making huge decisions like this. Savannah acted on impulses and urges and to her, this seemed like the only option they had.

"I know i need to hunt, my urges get really strong after a while and i could just murder anyone. We need to leave the city. My uncle has an abandoned shack in the forest, we could live there. But we need to get to the city at nights, i need to hunt...we need to hunt." he said as her face was reflected on his yellow cat eyes. He grabbed her hand and kissed her lips softly before pulling back. "You know i liked to do this for a long time and if we are going to live together, you better get used to it..." He grabbed hand and tightly and took her deeper into the forest, looking for his uncle's shack.

Her cheeks flushed a bright red as he kissed her. Savannah didn't even really have time to kiss him back as he led her off towards the shack his uncle had. "So you've liked me for a long time huh?" She asked, her tone was teasing. She knew Ken liked her. She had liked him for a long time too. The two had been almost inseparable from the time they met up until now. Now, they had to survive with one another until something could be done about their conditions. "I could always try to feed from you but I think your blood would kill me." As sad as that was, it had come up in her research on vampires and werewolves. They were also supposed to hate one another with a passion yet here she was with Ken. She brought her free hand up to her mouth where she pushed the pad of her thumb against her fangs. They ached and the pressure of her thumb seemed to help some. "Isn't there another town not far from here where we could hunt? I don't think it would be a good idea to do it here." There were too many people they knew and things were bound to get messy if they hunted here.

"I like you, yes, i've always liked you." he said rushing as they got to the shack. "You can try feeding a little on me...i've read that it doesn't kills your if you don't do it all the time. That is, i can't feed on you. There is a small village down the dirtroad, it's quite crowded for being a small village so we could hunt there at night." He glanced at the shack, it was quite nice, the only thing they had to do was to get some food and water to it. He kissed her again but this time he held it longer. He pulled back so she could kiss him back.
