I'm applying for the Bookstore Employee character, btw. Sorry that I forgot to mention that.
"The Titans are the ones credited with the creation of the human race. Designed to be a workforce they would harvest worlds and worship the primordial beings. However these Titans decided that in return for this everlasting worship, the human race would be given the gift of free will. They would not force them to abide by the rules set before them yet if their faith in the Titans would wade, swift action to remind the human race of their master would unleashed.
As years past however the inevitable curse befell the Titans, their younger generations overthrew them and the gods of Olympus took the reigns of the earth. These Olympians as they were known did not share the love their forefathers had for the human race. They became distant and the veil fell over the eyes of the humans, not being able to see the gods themselves the veil grew thicker and stronger over the centuries, shielding all the magics of mythology. It is because of this the gods are now all but forgotten, mere scraps of their existence are present in the modern world.
But now the gods grow restless, the inevitable curse that will see their own children overthrow their seats of power and lock them in the depths of Hades has begun to corrupt and consume their minds, as was the Titans decision the Olympians will not give their thrones up easily as the next generation battles for supremacy."
--------------------------------------------------General Guidelines----------------------------------------------------------
So! this is the OOC for Sing to me Muse, an RP of Ancient Greek mythology set in modern London. Throw away your Percy Jackson novels however and prepare for some epic clashes of heroes and beasts as this RP is not taking nay survivors or High school teenagers.
So the premise is a group of characters who find an ancient Tome, this scripture will life the Veil as described by Homer and give them the capability to see all manner of Mythological beings including the gods. This will inevitable lead to the piqued interest of the Olympians and will see the Characters delving into an epic.

Gender -
Age -
Appearance -
Personality -
There will be only 5 parts available to being with, the RP will begin in a little old bookshop and so the Shop owner and employee as well as two customers would be preferred, the fifth will be a wild card who isn't involved in the beginning.
There will also be a few NPC characters who I will introduce later on in the RP, I will play the part of all NPC's and will guide your characters through this RP, I'm looking for a Co-gm if anyone is interested in controlling some NPC's etc.
I'm hoping for a high-casual RP and I'm after Quality more than quantity, 3-4 small-ish paragraphs is an awesome amount and the posting schedule would probably be somewhere around 3 posts a week.
So throw up a CS if your interested, the best and most competent ones will be accepted!

Name - Thomas Bishop
Gender - Male
Age - 22
Appearance - Thomas stands at 5 feet 10 tall. He has short hair, jaggedly cut with a shining gray color, unique for a guy of his age. He weighs around 160 pounds and has a well toned body. Thomas' most noticeable feature are his eyes; as his left one is bright blue, while his right one is pitch black. His fashion preferences are a pair of blue jeans, a Denim t-shirt often accompanied by a black leather jacket on top.
Personality - Energic, naive and cocky. That's what defines Thomas. He's always rushing to be the first one to cross the line and brag about it afterwards. In addition to that, Thomas also often shows lack of experience and judgment, filling the whole naive part. In the first encounter, he might spend his first two hours talking about himself, his past brave adventures and he is not afraid to exaggerate it a tiny bit..or a huge bit. But, beyond that flawed personality lies an innocent boy, one who couldn't make a difference between good and bad and has made many mistakes in the past, decisive mistakes.
By the way, I am looking to take the costumer role.
Hey - to anyone who's interested in/gets approved for the bookstore owner position, be sure to PM me so that we can work out our character's history and relationship!

Name - Walter Overstrand, PhD.
Gender - Male
Age - 52
Appearance - Walter stands at just over six feet, and though his salt and pepper beard and thinned hair usually lead to people calling him "old man", he's still in the prime of health. He can carry those heavy boxes of books around better than petite little Melanie, at least. The beard and his intelligent blue eyes give him a scholarly air as well, something he plays up to sell more books, accentuating it with what he lovingly calls his "elbow-patch" tweed coats.
Personality - Passionate about literature, film, language, philosophy, religion, you know the type. Obviously, he loves conversation pertaining to any of these, and will hold up intelligent customers for hours if he can, just sipping tea and talking. In addition, he's always considered himself a good person, and has tried to give kindness and help wherever he can, doing things like traveling to Africa to teach children to read, or even protesting against censorship and fundamentalist Christian book-banning in his home country. He volunteers at many local homeless and women's shelters, and a personal policy is to attempt a conversation with every beggar he sees in the street, learn their name and their history, and help them. Sometimes, this even entails letting them live in his house until they can go into rehab, or just get back on their feet.
Having grown up in a military household, where his very traditionalist father's word was law, from an early age Walter was driven to see multiple sides to arguments and maintain an open mind, qualities that were discouraged, to say the least. Naturally, he broke away from his father and got into Oxford on an academic scholarship, leading him eventually to the little bookstore in London. It's steady work, if low-key, and he still has some old manuscripts laying around from his "youthful writer" days, as well as one or two newer ones, ideas that have spun out of his many conversations. In the end, he wants to have the means to really help people, and if that comes from something he has written, it's all the better.
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing...
Only I will remain.
Hey Everblight, is this still going forward?
