In the wake of the rebellion, the Capitol established the Hunger Games; an annual event in which twenty-four children - between the ages of twelve and eighteen - from each district are chosen from a lottery and entered into a gladitorial competition where they must fight to the death until a lone victor remains.*

Sixty- four years ago, the rebels were put down by the Capitol and peace was restored in Panem. Now, the districts must offer up twenty-four new tributes to be paraded around the Capitol before being placed into an arena in a no-rules battle. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the sixty-fourth annual Hunger Games!

The RP:

The Reaping:
Our tributes begin in their district square amongst crowds of other children where their names will be selected at random from thousands of others. Or you could volunteer, but that's practically suicide (unless you're a Career). Our tributes will then take the train to the Capitol so that the audience can catch their first glances of the players.

The Chariot Rides:
After having their full Capitol makeover, our tributes will be dressed up to represent their districts and will ride out on chariots. This will be the first time the sponsors will see them, so be sure to make a good impression.
NOTE: Possibly PM whoever is playing your district partner so that you might both agree on an outfit for the chariots.

Training:
Out tributes may train, talk and even make alliances if they wish. No more than four members per alliance (Unless it's the Careers which are usually D1, 2 & sometimes 4).

Private Training Session:
You can PM me your training session post where your character shows off a skill of some sort privately. No other tributes know what happens in others private training session. You will be given a score based on how realistic and well-done your post is.

Interviews:
I will post a series of questions the interviewer asks each tribute. You can answer the questions in-character, or do a question-and-answer format.

The Games:
Finally, the games! Our tributes begin at the bloodbath before the Cornucopia with items scattered about, the best being the furthest away. Not EVERYONE can get the best weapons so please try to be realistic! Also, tributes WILL DIE during the bloodbath and then during the games. No Godmodding here. As much as you want your tribute to win, if they die they die.

• I will play as the gamemaker and also as sponsors. If I feel a tribute deserves a parachute, I will send one.
• You can have more than one character, but don't go overboard.
• No OOC arguing. OKAY!

Personality:
Lyra appears to be rather serious and cold, but in reality she loves to laugh. She's independent and slightly self-centred. Used to caring for herself, Lyra sees little need for others. For a sixteen year old, Lyra is very intelligent though she can be slightly reckless.

History:
Lyra's mother was killed for taking crops from work for her daughter when Lyra was six years old. She was handed over to her closest relatives who were her aunt and uncle. At the age of ten, she began working in the fields picking crops and planting seeds; it was very dull work and Lyra never enjoyed it. Lyra fashioned herself a slingshot when she was twelve and began hunting within her district. She was caught once after killing a bird, but let off because she was just a child. Despite warnings from her aunt and uncle, Lyra continued hunting and caught her own food. She developed a good sense of aim and became independent.*

Strengths:

• Lyra is quite intelligent and can recognise plants.

Personality:
Usually, Wren is rather quiet and reserved, speaking only when spoken to and giving short, one or two word answers, but combat is an entirely different story. Wren lives for the thrill of a fight. She will focus all of her energy into a battle and usually come out as the winner. But, Wren can sometimes be quite reckless when others taunt her or laugh at her. That is the one thing she hates.

History:
Wren was brought up in a very different way to most kids in other districts. She's been training her whole life for the Hunger Games in the specialist academy in District 2 (Even if it is illegal...). Wren volunteered for the Games early rather than waiting till she was eighteen and fully-trained, yet her District still cheers her on. With her parents waiting for her, she's confident she'll return safe&sound. All Wren's ever known is the pressure put on her by her father. She's convinced he didn't want a daughter but a strong, handsome boy who would make their family proud. Everyday, Wren tries to prove herself to him and the rest of her District, even if it does turn her into a ruthless killer.

Strengths:
Wren is rather quick and agile, her aim is almost impeccable and she is able to surpress feelings easily. She can also climb trees easily.

Weaknesses:
Wren's size means she is not very strong or intimidating. She cannot use large weapons such as swords, and she lets her rage blind her.*

Preferred Weapon:
Wren's preferred weapons are throwing knives or spears.

History: after losing her dad in a fishing boat accident Annabella learn how to spearfish and sold them on the black market to buy weapons to train her and her brothers in secret I case they got picked

Weaknesses: the cold. Having to hunt anything other than fish.

Personality:
friendly, cunning, almost always smiling, can be very serious when need be, good at hiding amungst the forest

History:
she grew up running around playing hide in seek with her older brother in forest, when they weren't helping out their dad that is. She was taught from the age of two how to hold an axe and by the time she was five she was helping her dad chop wood. Her brother was a lead climber and he taught her how to climb up trees. The three of them would occasionally go out camping and they taught her how to tell which plants and berries were edible. When she was fifteen her dad died in an accident were a tree fell on him with out warning. Her and her brother worked to keep money and food in their mouths with out having to I cress their chances in getting into the games. So she taught her self how to hunt and started making small statues out of wood and selling them to the people of district five, while her brother earned his money through his Lead Climbing job. They both stayed away from the idea of being a lumber jack as to avoid being hit by falling trees. Her mother died after giving birth to her, so she never really knew her to well but she has a locket that has a picture of her mother and father together in it.

Personality:*He is rather rude and sarcastic. He loves to flirt with the laddies. He has a temper, you mess with him, he will get back at you. His pride is huge, and he doesn't hide it.

History:*He has a rather boring childhood, much the same as every other boy. Once he was old enough he started training, focusing not only on weapons but other aspects. He trained in speed, stamina, strength, stealth, swimming, climbing... Anything he could do.

Strengths: weapon handling, strength, speed, camouflage*
