A off shoot of The Last Interest Check that will focus primarily on finding a partner interesting in roleplaying in the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Universe. I just have to many pony ideas to hide away in a corner of that thread. Hi! I'm Mairzy. I got into the My Little Pony franchise about a year ago, and since then I've been having fun making crack theories of my own. While FiM isn't my favorite franchise, it's amazing how there's something in there for everybody, and how just about any type of story can be told. I have several ideas, and a few OCs I want to play with, but I also like the characters of the show enough that I want to take a stab at some of them. I'm also open to hear your ideas as well. Right now, I'm enjoying the idea of doing mean things to Shining Armor. I think I know why this is: the dude is way too perfect, and he stands tall when everything around him in his life falls apart. It's so much fun to see how much a hero like that can take. I'm talking brainrape, transformations, possession. Yes, I'm a sadist.

The person I'm looking for is...I dunno. Open to new ideas, with a number of fresh ideas of their own. Literate enough not to be distracting. Laid back and with a sense of humor. I'm a bit slow, so I'm not looking to run a race with someone. I like to take of 2-3 characters in a rp to really flesh out the world, and I hope my partner doesn't mind doubling up as well. Just sort of a fun diversion. Casual and advanced, please. I do reserve the right to ignore you if I don't feel right about your spelling/grammer/punctuation and so on. Not to say that I'm perfect- far from it- but a certain level of mistakes/textspeak/laziness is very distracting to me, and I will not interested in a roleplay if I see that.

Anyway, time to choose your poison! Want to browse my plots? Or do you want to get my to play a character, and we'll just figure it out as we go along?

Characters I want to definitely want play are in Red Bold. Simply bolded names are roles I would still prefer but I'm willing to compromise. Names in italics I'd like you to play. Others could be NPCs or extra characters of our own according to how we choose.

Princess Cadence, Shining Armor, King Sombra. Possibly Twlight and maybe even the mane six.

Goes from the "what if" that Shining Armor is actually possessed by the spirit of King Sombra- that in fact, he has been since he faced down the shadow pony got those black crystals on his horn. The crystals have gone, but Sombra still remains. There are several ways we can do this. You can play as Cadence or Twilight figuring out there is something wrong with Armor. We can play with Prince Shining Armor and King Sombra as our mains, battling it out for control of the body with Cadence, any crystal ponies or Twilight as NPCs.

Starswirl the Bearde/Discord, Celestia, Clover the Clever or an OC.

I'm one of the conspiracy theorist bronies, so I love following people who analyze the plot threads and the fandom and putting my own crazy theories together. That being said, I watched this video this morning. And while I won't be adding "Discord is Starswirl" to my headcannon, I wouldn't mind RPing that story!

Plot: Starswirl the Bearded is a rather solitary unicorn who is studying magic, his only close acquaintances being his on again/off again lover, Princess Celestia, and his apprentice Clover the Clever. He is often frustrated by the alicorn, however, in her constant nagging of him to make friends while he'd rather focus his time and energy in discovering the most powerful kind of magic. He starts crafting a spell that is supposed to improve his magic by first scrambling it. However he doesn't know how to finish the spell, so he casts the first half and turns himself into the universe's first and only draconequus.

Now Starswirl's magic is different alright. Now, his magic seems to run by the rule of insanity. He casts a simple teleport spell and turns his favorite chair into ice cream. For a unicorn who had dedicated his entire life to studying and improving his magic, this is indeed a setback. Yours is a character whom he is willing to share his state with and may try to help him. But ultimately, I want this to play out as a person with a disease. Only Starswirl is powerful enough to reverse the spell, but the only way to master his new magic is to sacrifice his insanity, so I want a tragic ending. Fun, huh?

I saw an episode of G1 My Little Pony, and really liked this one story on there about a zebra working for a shadow demon to steal shadows for the demon's sustenance. Of course the episode is as cheesy as hell and Zeb is this is just about as annoying as villains get. But I kept thinking how cool it would be to have that set up re-imagined in G4, especially with how cool zebras are in this generation. I don't really see a need to do the plot with the pop-star, but we can if you like that idea.

Zeb is a zebra from the land of Quagga who has come to Equestria to study different kinds of magics. When he awakens the recently defeated King Sombra, it seems he has no choice but to help the shadow pony return to power. Or maybe he wanted to find Sombra all along. Maybe he has his own reasons to help the old tyrant king return to power...

Eeyore(Winnie the Pooh), Twilight, the cast of Winnie the Pooh, possibly the mane six, and an oc?

Ok, so it's a parody, so I think it's a really cute idea. Minus the part with Eddy Murphy, of course. But maybe the idea of a character or force who's trying to keep the barriers between different works whole would be interesting.

Celestia, Luna, Twilight, citizens of Ponyville.

Celestia and Luna wake up one morning to find out that they're mortals living in Ponyville. They have different cutie marks, and Twilight is the Alicorn God Ruler of all Equestria. Equestria is not in a good way. Now they have to set things right, but can they do it before it's too late?

Inspired by wild mass guessing after the Twilacorn announcement.

Big Mac, Luna, Celestia, Applejack, Applebloom and Granny Smith.

A friend/relation-ship about two second tier characters who share a similar trait: awkwardness in pony company. Call me nuts, but I think that Big Mac and Luna would be awful cute together. Macintosh could help Luna say more with less, and Luna could help Macintosh to reveal more of himself to others. They could have met behind the scenes of Luna Eclipsed, or maybe Big Mac had to go to Canterlot once, or maybe they met in one of Big Mac's nightmares. I think it would be interesting if they met each other in dreams, and in real life pretended like they had nothing to do with each other. I only want it progressing to romance if it's natural. I'm perfectly fine if the whole thing has them being platonic. Besides, Luna is kind of immortal, and Big Mac kind of has a girlfriend...

I'd also like to figure out some way to make Derpy into a Scarlet Pimpernel type of hero, I'm just not sure how. Perhaps in a alternate, war-torn Equestria?

Glorious is a genderswitched version of one my favorite toys growing up, Glory. Glorious is an astronomy professor at Canterlot University, and an elegant and rather vain unicorn to boot. He's fun to play with, but I haven't much depth out of him yet.
