I'm sorry, due to some circumstances regarding RL I'm going to have to drop out.
-An owl lands before you, carrying a letter addressed to you in shimmering emerald ink. The Hogwarts Crest seals the envelope. Your heart hammers as you rip the envelope open and remove the parchment from inside.-

Passing Grades:
O - Outstanding
E - Exceeds Expectations
A - Acceptable
Failing Grades:
P - Poor
D - Dreadful
T - Troll
List of advisable career options:
A second parchment carries the Hogwarts crest at the top and is a certificate of accomplishment with your name printed along the top.
Every student who has ever graduated from Hogwarts receives a letter such as these. It is entirely up to the recipient how they decide to move forward with their life. The possibilities are endless and of course there are bumps in the road of life, even to that of a witch or wizard.
Setting:
Twenty years have passed since the fall of the Dark Lord Voldemort and things in the wizarding world have become bright and optimistic. Harry Potter has gone on to become one of the greatest Auror’s since Mad-Eye Moody. His friends have also moved on with their lives. A few short rumors have been heard about a possible down fall, but for now those rumors are being squished before they get far enough to cause any real damage. The current Minister of Magic is Warren Baldersbee after the retirement of Kingsley Shackelbolt.
The current plot is a little loose, but I threw in a couple possible plot twists for the future. I want this to be an interactive rp, which means I want everybody to come up with a little bit of something for the plot line. We can go any way with it, dark and twisted, happy fantasy, etc. The only difference is that nobody is school age, meaning that we have a much larger world to explore and work with.
Rules - I’ll keep this part short and sweet.
- All characters must be out of school. Younger characters can be NPC’d if they are needed.
- Characters can be older and established already in a job, as long as they are out of school, you can make them as old as you’d like them to be.
- I’m going to ask that nobody make any of the main Cannon’s from the book, too much trouble comes with that. I’m okay with extended Cannon’s to an extent, ask before you make a CS for them.
- Please contribute. I hate being the only person willing to come up with ideas, all I ask is that you put them out there.
- I like to establish a two post rule, meaning the same person can not post a second time until at least two different people have posted. This keeps people from taking a two person conversation and stretching it for four pages while everybody else is asleep.
- for now I’d like to keep specialty magic to a minimum, such as being an illegal animagus. Same with half-breeds such as half-giant or half-veela. One or two max, but too many and it becomes difficult to keep it all straight.
That’s all I can think of, if I’ve left anything out please let me know.
I do work a full time job so it’s difficult for me to be here all the time, so I ask that everybody work together to make sure the rules are followed and that everybody is having a good time. I’ll check in as often as I possibly can.

Alright sorry guys! The other thread got closed because I had an OOC thread in the Interest Check, I probably should have changed that when I realized, no biggie, we'll just move our thread to right here! Give me one second and I'll repost the current plot ideas.
- - - Updated - - -
We have been going over several plot ideas, it's likely we'll be doing several at once that way everybody has something to do at some point.
First plot line:
The Werewolf Wars - The werewolves who have gone into hiding are getting restless, angry about having to hide out while the wizards and human parade about. They begin to move in on smaller towns, attacking humans without warning. Due to this the population of Diagon Alley will increase a bit due to a lack of homes for these wizards to stay. The leader of the wolves is likely to notice that the humans are disappearing and where they are heading to. Eventually a Werewolf takeover will be staged as a large pack of them ravage Diagon Alley, giving everybody there reason to run or become a part of this particular story. This also gives the Ministry of Magic plenty to do in terms of stopping the attacks, keeping casualties down and keeping this silent from the muggles.
Second Plot Line:
This is likely to be the underlying plot line of the entire story, something that I also think everybody will be able to join. Things haven't been as bright and full of sunshine as everybody would like to think. There really is something dark rising, although it's difficult to know for sure what it is. Disappearances, murders, attacks, these things happen, but lately it seems it's been happening more often than usual. People don't want to believe that anything could be happening or else believe it to be the works of werewolves or other such creatures. In reality this is the work of the Beast Master. A dark wizard whose existence is completely unknown, nobody knows who he is, where he is or even how he's managing to corrupt so many. The dark workings are that of his followers, although they are just as unsure of their master's identity as anybody else. As a result a small uprising of dark wizards are making themselves known, the wizarding world fighting to rid themselves of one threat only for another to take it's place almost immediately. This story line gives us a few things, it gives us a supply of bad guys to work with and defeat while the main antagonist* is left unknown for now. Eventually the players will have an idea that there is a larger entity at work here, but that will come a little later down the line. This is something that involves everybody, each character will be affected by The Beast Master in some way. The disappearing and murders and such are directly related to those who in some way knew of his existence and threatened his secrecy.
Plot Line 3:
The most simple really. The ministry working to cover up the idea of another dark lord. They don't want a mass panic on their hands, the minister himself is keeping secrets, but it's hard to say what exactly.
Each of these ideas were put together by ideas suggested by several of our players. Other side stories are also welcome, and keep in mind that each of your characters is welcome to have their own story, but if it's going to affect the main story I ask that you discuss it with the group so we have an idea of what's going on.
@ Prime your idea of underground dark wizards can work as a side plot, the thought being that's where the uprising is coming from but for now the Beast Master is unattainable.

I would like people's opinions on these ideas.

Person
-----
Name: Griffin Griff Langdon
Age: 22
Status: Hrm He has several Muggles in his family, including a grandmother one on side and grandfather on the other Both of his parents are magical themselves More than a half-blood, less than a pure-blood. Three-fourths, perhaps?
Wand
-----
Length: 11 even
Wood: Fir
Core: Dragon Heartstring
Extra Info: Remarkably resilient, and a bit heavy, making slower, more deliberate and powerful action favorable. In duels, it is better suited to Shield Charms and defensive magic in general than full-on attack, though when it gets a Hex or Curse in, its opponent will definitely feel it. The Fir wand is most accustomed to and useful for Transfiguration magic, as well as the deeper, more specific schools, such as Artificing, Earth Magic and (regrettably) Dark Arts. In this way, besides the Dark Arts, Griff is very similar, drawn to the deep and fundamental magics of the world.
School
-----
Name of School: Hogwarts
Graduated: Yes
House: Ravenclaw
Best Class: Transfiguration
Worst Class: History of Magic, if only because it had no practical elements. He was bored.
NEWT Scores:
Alchemy: O
Charms: O
Transfiguration: O
Herbology: E
Defense Against the Dark Arts: E
Potions: O
Arithmancy: O
Astronomy: E
History of Magic: A
Ancient Runes: E
Extra Info: Griffs experience at Hogwarts was enlightening, putting him in contact with some of the most talented witches and wizards of his time, but especially near the end, he knew he should be doing more, learning more. On top of all of his schoolwork, he began to do research and experiments on his own, and once he had taken his N.E.W.T.s, he knew he had just barely begun to scratch the surface of possibility. His love of magic, instilled in him through his time at Hogwarts, combined with a powerful determination and a fair bit of talent lead directly to his current place in life, and he couldnt be happier.
Career
-----
Job Title: Apprentice Artificer (and Amateur Historicist, but thats more of a side project)
Job Location: The Wickwell Workshop and Laboratory
Short Job Description: As the current Apprentice and lab assistant of the illustrious James Wickwell, Griff is learning the very complex art of bonding usable magic to objects (Artificing), and helping his mentor with all manner of magical experiments. His earlier training in Alchemy and Arithmancy are very useful here, as Artificing involves intimate knowledge of an object and its magical and nonmagical properties.
One of his current personal projects, something hes dreamed about for years, is his own, self-made broomstick, and while the difficult Flying Charms are just now beginning to work, there is still a ways to go before its ridable. The challenge after that? His own Portkeys. On top of these, and his work with Wickwell, he is using the facilities to assist in his training as an Animagus. After three years of work and practice, he is getting very close to his first viable transformation. As you can see, despite his assisting Wickwell, he is given freedom, encouragement, time and resources to pursue his own interests. The bit about being an Amateur Historicist? Wickwell has a personal Time Turner! Griff has seen and used a similar device before, at Hogwarts, but that was a very simple model, fit for nothing more than a student with too little time on his hands. Wickwells self-made and powerful version is much more useful, especially for the difficult science of Historicism (using magic to study the true past). However, it is also very dangerous, and Griff has never been given the opportunity to use it alone; only under the watchful eye of his mentor.
Do you enjoy your job? Definitely! It is a powerful learning experience, and there are few other careers hed rather pursue. Eventually, once he is more skilled in Artificing and Historicism, he is preparing to apply for a position as an Unspeakable. The work that goes on in the Department of Mysteries is exactly what he wants to be involved in.
History
-----
By the time Griff arrived, Voldemort had returned, and his war was soon to be in full swing. His grandparents all remembered his first grab for power, and gravely advised their children to leave the country before things got worse. Because of this, and their family history, the Half-blood Langdons (his parents) sent the very young Griff, as well as each set of his grandparents, across to the mainland, his mother following soon afterwards. They settled into hiding with an old magical friend of his Muggle grandmothers in Amsterdam, patiently and nervously waiting out the rest of the war there while his father kept up appearances in Britain. After close to two years of hiding, Griffs father burst into the house in Amsterdam and spread the news: Voldemort was gone! He had been defeated by the same child that had forced him into hiding nearly twenty years before, Harry Potter, but this time, he was well and truly dead. The family all relocated back to their home, and life went back to the peace of the previous era.
Griff grew up there, in the house his mother and father had built, surrounded by powerful magic day in and day out, and became possessed with a powerful curiosity about it. Once he finally gained his wand, and his letter of acceptance from Hogwarts, the boy was overjoyed. He bought up as many books as he could fit in his cauldron (as his parents had no shortage of money), and by the time he actually arrived at the school, he knew more about it and magic than the vast majority of his peers. His placement into Ravenclaw was then no surprise, of course, and neither was his powerful academic excellence, his curiosity and enthusiasm pushing him through most, if not all of his classes with high marks. Though he was never particularly social, always busy with something or other, he still found time for a few close companions, who helped him to mellow out and relax, things that would be impossible for him to accomplish himself. He graduated with very high marks from the school, and with his fathers urging immediately contacted several workshops and laboratories to apply for Apprenticeships. It wasnt long before he was packing his bags to go work on Diagon Alley, with the famous James Wickwell. It was like a dream come true.
Family/Extra
-----
Parents: John Langdon and Mary Langdon ne้ Greenwall are both Half-bloods, as Johns father and Marys mother are Muggles, albeit very intelligent Muggles. They know more about the Wizarding World than many wizards, and come from intellectual backgrounds that help them fit in fairly well amongst their new magical friends and family members. John and Mary themselves are Alchemists, and Mary is also a Healer in her spare time, meaning that they are experts in Potion-making. They take contracts with the Ministry of Magic, individual patrons, schools, and other organization to develop and produce powerful and useful potions. They have always cultivated Griffs curiosity and drive, hoping for a son that surpasses them both in knowledge someday.
Familiar: Adonis, a large and intelligent Kneazle given to him when he was young by his paternal grandmother, who has raised them since she was a young woman. He is very protective, and is often in Griffs presence, either lounging around and sleeping or watching him work with bright eyes.
Patronus: A large heron.
Animagus Form: Bottlenose Dolphin
-Approx. three meters from tip of his nose to tip of his tail.
-Red coloring surrounding the blowhole and the upper forehead, analogous to Griffs bright red hair.
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing...
Only I will remain.
alright the characters are back up, but I'm going to need pictures again if you want me add them to your profile. Just a picture and reminder of which character each belongs to :P
So the other thread won't be reopened for people who need to copy and paste their Character Sheet(s)?
