Okay so I was thinking of a RP where there are 7 elemental planes of existence, the barriers between the realms are slowly deteriorating, distorting every realm in a slight way, i.e one area would have the equivalent gravity of the moon, while another one would almost crush you.However most people in the realms barely realize anything has changed and can see nothing out of the ordinary.However certain people, either aided by advanced technology,, or natural ability, can see the distortions for what they really are, those that can see the distortions can see where the barriers are especially weak, and can thus acess whatever plane they connect to, however it's no easy task, and with the ability to only see the rifts, not what is on the other side, so crossing through also mean great risk, but could provide answers. So the government has recruited all those people who have the natural ability to see the distortions, as well as selecting those most fit for any climate or situation, already in the government, and outfitting them with the technology needed.

I'd be interested. What time period is this set in? Is it like a modern or more steampunk-ish?
I was thinking more future-ish, but it can go either way, I'll add a part in the OOC (if we get a few more people interested) to vote for the time period. I have a start out for each time period. Thanks for your interest, if we get a few more people I'll set up a OOC.
