"Oh great, another hilariously large arena."
Ren was walking amidst the half-ruined temples that stretched on and on as far as he could see, his long, red coat waving in the wind. He had arrived at that place a short while ago, summoned yet again to fight in an unknown land for an unknown purpose. Yet he didn't complain. It had been too long since he last did battle, and his more combative nature was already starting to take him over before the sudden summons. In all probability, he would have sought out a fight anyway, and his only hope was that finally he would fight a worthy opponent instead of effortlessly slaughtering the heaps of weaklings that usually fell prey to his power. This place too was a good place to fight; Ren could sense the various potent sources of energy all around him, which would definitely give a boost to his powers. However, his opponent was nowhere to be found. Ren wondered if it was simply because this place was enormous that his foe was nowhere to be seen. I just hope he hasn't run away in terror after spotting me. he thought. That would be a bummer. Still, since he could not detect any presences around him, he kept walking and searching, his hands hovering above his dual gunblades, ready for any and all sudden movements. As he walked through the corridors and passages, he inspected the energy reserves inside him, and found them to be alarmingly empty. "Figures. Why does every inter-extra-outer-dimensional whatever that organizes these things always summon me running on fumes?" he wondered out loud, as he started to gather small amounts of energy from his surroundings. The natural power-sources of the arena seemed to speed up the process, as he had expected. Well, at least I'll recharge sooner than later. he thought as he searched for the unfortunate being that was about to become his target practice.
