Along with the virtual reality helmet called the NerveGear and the system FullDive, players are able to experience a realistic fantasy world of Aincrad and control their characters with their minds. Players have the ability to do things they were unable to achieve in the real world. For most... Sword Art Online was their second life...

Many were distraught as the events during November 6, 2022 unfolded. Players in the Town of Beginnings were unable to log out for an unknown reason and were informed by SAO's creator, Kayaba Akihiko, that freedom awaits them at the 100th floor where they must face the final boss. The catch though is that death in-game assures death too in reality, the NerveGear frying your brain as you are deleted from the SAO universe.

Please follow these guidelines:
1. This is a Casual Roleplay. Please refrain from one-liners or an essay. Minimum of ONE AND A HALF of a paragraph is required. Proper grammar and spelling is necessary.
2. NO GODMODDING.
3. NO SPAMMING. Don't post two or three times in a row.
4. PLAYER KILLING IS ACCEPTABLE. But in return, it will result to your ban in the Roleplay. I suggest you stick with PvPs.
5. DO NOT CLAIM THE RARE DROP ITEM UNLESS THE GM TELLS YOU. You will be randomly picked by the GM and then post it from there.
6. Must be active once in a while. Minimum of FOUR-FIVE posts per week.

What is the name of the world of Sword Art Online?
- Aincrad. It is an abbreviation of An Incarnating Radius.

What is the currency in Aincrad?
- Col.

Is there Magic in SAORP?
- Nope. SAO focuses on the use of weapons, not the Arcane Arts. Although the use of fists (Martial Arts) is allowed.

How are you going to have set up combat though?
- Combat will be like your normal Roleplays. Monster mobs may be fought as a group or alone. Boss fights however, is a team fight.

Like Classes, or?
- Personally I think Classes would bring unique gameplay but as of specific Classes, I really have no clue. But I'd like the RP to focus combat more on unique weapon skills the RP has to offer.

Also, is it a PvP sort of thing, or are we working together to get to the hundredth floor?
- If you wish to challenge someone to a duel, you may do so, yes but that will not stop the Roleplay from focusing to reach the last floor.

And are we following the canon like, concepts?
- You can make your own character right from scratch then you do what you want!

Can I be a part of the Lead Party?
- If you wish to do so but you have to meet with everyone at some stage and form a party. Solo player or not.

Are we Roleplaying floor-by-floor?
- No, it will take too long for the RP to finish unless you people want to do so...

I wanna get married! Can I get married? Pleeeease?
- Fine. But only if you keep the snogging to a minimum. You can marry an NPC or other Players. (Divorce is optional)

Do we level up and get the good stuff?
- Hmm... level up system and STR, DEF, etc is too complicated and hard to keep track. I would say no for now.

How is the loot distributed after a Boss Fight? Who is going to get the Rare Drop Item???
- I will be RANDOMLY pick a person. I will send them a Private Message and then they will post in the IC that they got the Rare Drop. All players will share loot.

Is Player Killing allowed?
- Well my goal is to have a fun and safe environment, free from crime and lollygaggin'. If you wish to kill a player, please do so but it will result in your ban in the Roleplay.

Are there pets in the game?
- If pets you mean Familiars? Yes I suppose.

Which Floors forbid the use of Teleportation Crystals?
- I suggest you check the Floor Guide.

I am choosing to make two characters. Will Male + Male cause any gender imbalances?
- Yes, it may cause imbalances but it is totally fine if you wish to make two characters of the same gender but I recommend to create both a Male and a Female to marry them and control them with ease.

How do you Make a Guild?
- Ask the GM for permission.

How many Guilds can I make?
- One. But you need at least THREE members in order to be accepted.

Who is the GM?

Friendship and Marriage System:

Hiya! I am Mistress Ellina and I bet you 100 Col, that you, are setting your eyes on a lovely lady or gentleman? Yes?? Great! Let me brief you on what you need to know to impress the love of your life!!

Relationships and Friendships do not work out right off the bat, you really have to start somewhere. As strangers, you can introduce yourselves friendly and get to know each other well. I advice a nice "Hello, how are you?" would do and wait for them to reply. It is very simple! Then you should take interest on what they're saying and try to smile all the time! But remember this, won't they think you're creepy, seeing that you constantly try to know their personal life when you're not even on their Friends List?? I advice that you Add them as a Friend! :3 That way you could talk for hours and hours without giving the impression of a weirdo! With that being said, you can send Private Messages if you want to keep your conversations between yourselves and you receive bonuses while in a party with them! There! You have already made yourself a friend thanks to me!!

If you have been in a party with a friend for a long time now, it must be time for you to confess your love or embrace them as your best friend for ever! Being more than friends may be harder than it is already but it will pay off. In order to increase fondness, I suggest you Gift them an item you would see fit. Flowers are the most treasured gifts a woman could receive or a gleaming sword for the gentleman you like. Gifting regularly during Festivals and special occasions improve your Friendship Level with them, and before you know it, they might even propose (or you, perhaps if you are a guy)! If she/you accept, CONGRATULATIONS AND WE WILL SEE YOU IN THE ALTAR!! Don't worry if they don't! It might be too early for them or they might just want to be friends! There's plenty of fish down the sea :3

Marriage means an eternal love, an unbreakable vow, an everlasting bond. Marriage have many bonuses and allows you to share house storage and inventory. It allows the purchase of Married Couple-Exclusive Items for your home, gear, decoration, weapons and more!! More interactions are available too such as Kiss, Slow Dance, Tickle and many more! Unhappy with your marriage? Can't decide who gets what? Your spouse is too poor? Have they cheated on you? Marriages that don't work well have the option to Divorce which removes all privileges received under the Bond of Matrimony and receives a Divorce penalty for three days such as reduced XP% received in Dungeons, smaller rewards, gives the Troubled Sleep status and many more.

In Sword Art Online, experiment with all the interactions available and be friendly to everyone even if they give you a hard time. If you want to marry a certain someone, don't hesitate to send a Friend Invite! You are not alone in Sword Art Online.

In regards to classes, I know this is SAO, and SAO doesn't have classes, but I think it'd be interesting to see it implemented based on the fighting styles of certain players. You've specified Warrior/Thief. But I think splitting Warrior up into Heavy (defense) warrior, and Light (attack) warrior would allow for variation. Just my thoughts there, could be an initial grouping or adopt a promotion system if you think that'd work better.

Eh? Blade throwing? I don't really consider it as Non-Combat Skill since you can actually deal damage with it. But if you mean Blade Throwing as in the circus or summat, I would probably say nah. :/

Personality: Lily loves to troll in games, it gives her satisfaction whenever things go her way. It is pretty much like her to annoy people in reality and virtually, well at least her friends are aware of it. However her annoyance is a bit softer towards people she knows while she has no respect for strangers in the virtual world and will refuse to give them any personal information about her life. Foul mouthing and insulting others just to strike a nerve is what she does most ‘just for the lulz’ as she always say. Because of her lack of trust towards strangers online, whenever she needs to communicate she uses her hair to speak to them. Lily literally makes a small little doll out of her hair and uses it to talk to others while speaking in a squeaky voice.

She loves to play the person that everyone would depend on and that is the supportive role. The only person she deeply respects is her partner who she will personally support. With others she will often ask for a fee or something in return for her services. She can quite manipulative for people to do her bidding and will find a way to blackmail someone to make them become her puppet. Lily mostly targets new players as they are easy to bait and persuade, but finding someone of a higher level to work for her is a major bonus for her. While technically not a solo player, out of combat lines she can earn enough money on her own while she would never go alone on the front lines. She is very cautious of players and their actions, the worst thing she fears is falling into the hands of a pking guild.

Her partner Evan, who is also known as her brother, often gets on her nerves with his happy attitude. No matter how many times she insults or humiliates him, Evan will never break. This annoys her so much that she bangs her head against a wall. There are times where the twins are in sync and that is when both of them commit a trigger of silliness. When this trigger occurs, Lily’s attitude and personality will be mixed with Evan’s and vice versa. It is a weird bond and even unexplained by the twins themselves, then again they have been doing this ever since they were young so it could just be a joint habit.


Background: Lilith works at a game store where she easily managed to get a beta access to the game by pulling some strings. She could not resist of trying out the new game that was no doubt the next big thing. Lily lives in her own apartment having moved out of her parent’s house not long after she graduated high school. She decided to not go to college right away wanting to take a break from education and save up some extra money first. Being a gamer girl since she was ten has put her into a competitive or pro status even though she has never participated in any competitive leagues herself. She usually plays for fun by her own means and plan on making real life money through virtual items.
